“You are so beautiful, dear,” Martin kissed the neck of Karen, who has dressed up neatly in a very pretty white wedding dress.
Karen smile. A smile that seemed very forced. Still vividly remembered his recollection, a stern rejection from Ray the other day. The ex-husband who was still very much in love with her, for the first time, let her cry until almost kneeling to beg. Karen never thought Ray had a dark side she never knew. Ray, a very determined man.
Karen saw a reflection of herself through the large glass that was in front of her. The hair is neatly curled, minimalist makeup that actually further accentuates her beauty, and a white dress sleeveless Martin's choice. Karen was happy, finally she could feel a real marriage. When she married Ray, she was forced to marry only secretly, overwhelmed with all worries and anxieties.
Through the glass as well, Karen could see Sierra standing leaning against the door, with an annoyed look at Karen. The woman walked in to get close to Karen. The assistant who was decorating Karen decided to leave, in order to give Karen and Sierra some privacy.
“Congratulations, Karen,” says Sierra. “You will soon be part of the Willis family,”
Karen simply replied with a wry smile.
“I don't think the once very rebellious woman is now outdone by wealth,” Sierra commented, insinuating Karen right in front of her face.
“What do you mean?” ask Karen not to take it.
Sierra knitted his brows, while folding his hands in front of his chest. “You forgot your promise to repay Martin? Why now, you're marrying her?”
“You don't know anything,”
“Sure,” sahut Sierra fast. He was smiling. “Even your ex-husband doesn't know, let alone me who's nobody?”
Sierra picked a white rose that was placed in a large vase. Then give it to Karen.
“Welcome, Karen,” says Sierra. “I hope you are always happy with Martin,”
Sierra smiled sincerely this time, although Karen did not return the sincerity with a friendly attitude. He refused to accept the Sierra rose.
“I've met Ray,” said Karen suddenly, as Sierra was already walking about to leave.
Sierra was forced to stop his steps, and again turned his body to face Karen. With a little tension to grip the part of her dress, Karen tried to spit out all her worries.
“I've met Ray, and asked him to run away with me,” It seems clear, that Karen tried very hard to hold back the tear from wetting her face that had been washed away.
Sierra was silent, looking straight at Karen with a slightly pitying look.
“But she refused,” continued Karen. “She said, she ... “ Karen has a very hard time continuing her words. “He will marry Kamala, son of Rudi Bruggman,”
Sierra widened the view when the name Kamala came to be called. He knows very well that Ray is lying. He knows, Ray deliberately used Kamala as a pretext to get Karen to leave him. So all he could give in response was a sympathetic breath, and slowly grabbed Karen's hand.
“Me and you will be part of the Willis family,” Sierra said. “Our life will be threatened every day. So, save your cry,”
Karen was crying. Sierra quickly called out to Karen's face, so as to disguise the scar. Then he left, so as not to arouse suspicion from either Martin or Paul.
Karen walked gracefully, slowly, towards the altar with the gaze of the entire invited guest fixed on her. They stared in amazement at the figure of Karen who looked very beautiful and charming in a white wedding dress. So did Martin, with sparkling eyes, wait for Karen in front of the altar to say both sacred promises.
Martin grabbed Karen's right hand, then stood side by side and made a sacred promise and an oath of allegiance between the two. Then when Martin looked at each other with Karen, he kissed the lips of the woman who had now become his rightful wife, full of passion and love. All the invited guests immediately greeted the kiss with a standing ovation, and a wide smile proud of Martin Willis' new achievement.
“Congratulations, Miss Karen,” said Paul, as the entire Willis family came forward to congratulate the bride and groom.
Karen returned Paul's hand in joy. But unlike Karen, Martin stared hatefully at his father. They said nothing but just shook hands and hugged each other, because of the many cameras that were aiming at them. So did Sophie, not at all exchanging glances with Paul, even though the two of them joined hands and put a fake smile on every shiny camera shot.
From a distance Sierra watched the falseness between Paul and Sophie, taking a sip of wine in his hand. Then his gaze changed to watch Martin and Karen, who, despite their hatred, looked very harmonious as a handsome and beautiful couple like a king and queen in a fairyland.
“Si .. “ call someone, from the back of Sierra. Spontaneous the woman turned her head back quickly as she realized whose voice it was.
“Ray?” Sierra's eyes widened, when he saw Ray coming side by side with Kamala.
Although not a bride, Ray appeared dashing and Kamala beautiful with straight black hair. They both smiled towards Sierra. Then from behind looks Rudi and Jena Bruggman, who are very satisfied with his daughter's partner. Sierra did not cease to be astonished, not expecting Ray to have enough guts and strength to attend the wedding of his ex-wife.
“Why aren't you with Paul?” ask Ray.
Sierra, who was too focused on Ray, forgot the question. He was still busy looking at Ray and Kamala alternately.
“Si? Heloo, why are you here?” ray exclaims, disperse Sierra reverie. “Why aren't you with Paul?” ask Ray again.
Sierra blinked his eyes, then shook his head quickly. “Not yet, Ray. I don't want to ruin Martin's happy day. Because after all, he saved my life,”
“You mean?” Ray frowned hearing Sierra's last words.
“Sophie hired someone to kill me, and all thwarted Martin,” Sierra explained, not wanting to go back to remembering the terrible incident.
Ray nodded, although a little surprised. Kamala then pulled her hand, to come forward, to the altar and congratulated the bride and groom.
“You're ready, right?” ask Kamala.
Ray nodded steadily. “This is my last chance,”
So Ray and Kamala, holding hands and confidently advancing towards the altar, when Ray accidentally caught the look of Karen's eyes that looked surprised when he saw her. His ex-wife was a little tense, along with Ray's growing distance from him. Now, after months of suffering, Ray finally confronted Martin. He stretched out his hand, smiled and congratulated her.
But Martin remained silent. He looked at the nanar of Ray's hand department, for a second then smiled haughtily.
“I won, Ray. I managed to snatch your precious toy,” he said, with a sly smile triumphantly.
