The Moon Knight

The Moon Knight
Chapter 1: Lahar

At night, in a small town on the outskirts of the Yupa kingdom, a 15-year-old teenager was walking alone under the snow. The snow that fell to the ground, now soared high enough to become a bit difficult to walk. Although the snow fell quite heavily, but the dark sky was still decorated with stars that look flickering.

The teenage boy suddenly stopped. He was stopped because he found that there was a small child who was about 8 years old, was seen still sitting on the side of the road and looked shivering. Then he approached the little boy. As the teenager sat in front of the little boy sitting alone, the little boy suddenly looked up at the teenager's face and said in a soft voice, "Brother needs a lighter, brother? Cheap is 500 Hasq." (Hasq is the currency that applies in that world)

"You're alone little brother? Why are you selling matches on a late night? Where are your parents?" ask the teenager who is now squatting so that his height is the same as the height of the child who was sitting.

"I don't have any parents. Today I don't sell much, so I have to sell a few more matches so I can get enough money to eat my sister," he answered with a plain voice typical of 8-year-olds.

"You got a sister? How many?" ask the teenager.

"One brother" answered him with a face that had turned red from the cold.

"How many years? Then where's your sister now?" ask the teenager again.

"My sister is waiting for me next to the building, brother. She was only 5 years old" the little boy replied, pointing to a large building.

"Where are you at home?" ask the teenager again.

"We don't have a house, we sleep moving places. Sometimes under the trees, next to the building, the pokonya where only as long as we can sleep," he replied innocently.

"It's night now. People have also started no one to come out. It would be hard to sell those matches now. It's better now that you're with brother how?" ask the teenager.

"Where are you brother? Brother won't sell us, will he?" ask the little boy with an innocent look and look.

"Engga, brother won't sell you. Yes, come on, sister's house is not too far from here," said the teenager.

"Then thank you very much, brother. For a moment I called my sister first, "the little boy ran to his sister who had fallen asleep next to the two large buildings that were close together.

After that, the three of them then immediately rushed to the teenage boy's house. Arriving there, they were immediately taken by the teenager to the dining room. At the dinner table, there was some food. Not too much indeed, but it seemed like it was enough for the little boy and his sister to have dinner.

"This you guys eat first well, let brother make a warm drink first for you," said the teenager.

After the little boy and his sister finished eating, they were then welcome to go straight to sleep in the room owned by the teenager.

"Who are those little kids you brought?" ask a man whose hair is partly white.

"Oh so yeah. I guess you kidnapped them and intended to sell them hahahaha," the man laughed quite loudly.

"Where might I do such a thing" replied the teenager.

"More importantly, where do you sleep now? Don't tell me you want to sleep with your dad, okay?" said the man who turned out to be the father of the teenage boy.

"Who will sleep with you. I'll just sleep here" replied the teenager.

"Are you sure you want to sleep here? In this room that doesn't have a bed?" ask his father.

"Yes, I can still sleep sitting and leaning my back against the wall" the teenager replied.

"Well, yeah. Yes I want to go first well, the door does not need to be locked. Even though there are thieves who enter this house, surely the thief will be confused. There are no items that can be stolen from this house hahahaha," said his father who then went straight away on this late night.

The teenager then went straight to the edge of the room and then leaned his back against the wall made of wood. He placed the sword still wrapped in the holster onto the floor which was also made of wood.

The name of the teenager was Lahar. From childhood he was raised by his father. His father's name is Jack. They both lived in a small wooden house. Everyday, his father's job was to take care of livestock that did not belong to him. That is, every farm animal in the cage, is a deposit animal where Jack's job is to care for and raise it.

Meanwhile, Lahar is a criminal hunter who joined a guild, although his current age is only 15 years old. He also graduated from the academy about 3 months ago.

Actually after graduating the academy, he was immediately offered by the kingdom to become a royal army because indeed the value of Lahar is the highest among his other friends.

However, his hatred for nobles made him reluctant to join to become a royal army. If he joined the royal army, it would be the same as working directly under the nobles who Lahar hated so much.

The main strength of the lava is that it lies in its skill of using the sword. He can also use the fire element, but somehow he uses his sword more often and fights physically.

The money earned by Lahar is certainly not too much, because the guild he works for is a small and new guild. The guild he worked for was still in the F rank. While the most elite guild order to the most underestimated is S, A, B, C, D, E, and lastly is F.

The night is getting late. The snow that had been falling since the afternoon had now slowly stopped. The sound of a wolf roar now again sounded like it was being understated. Lahar was now asleep in the front room of his house and slept in a sitting position while leaning his back against the wall made of wood.
