The Mistaken Son-in-law

The Mistaken Son-in-law
CHAPTER 17

'Where's mom?'. Mumamku confused.

So busy replying to messages with Mas Arya, I did not realize that my mother was not there. I wiggled - crabbing looking for the whereabouts of mother but her figure is invisible.

"AISYAHHH, here". I looked towards the source of the sound. It turns out my mom is a long way ahead. I ran slowly towards my mother.

"Sorry, I'm sorry, my mom didn't realize she was missing you". My mother feels guilty.

"What's wrong, my mother, I was wrong, I was again reply to the same chat Mas Arya until it was not realized that the mother had gone the way. Here mommy let me bring her groceries". I said while taking the groceries that my mother held.

"Yes udh we now go to the vegetable section, next to the kitchen and fruit seller". Mother said as she walked to our next destination, I followed behind.

We arrived at the vegetable store. Mother began to choose ingredients to make cooking later. I see next to you there's a full-fledged sembako salesman.

After permission to mother, I went to the place where the grocer was. I bought white glutinous rice, palm sugar, wheat flour, cooking oil, vermicelli, eggs, sugar, and also seasoning flavoring. For her coconut milk, I will ask her where she bought it.

When I wanted to pay, suddenly came my mother who immediately paid for my groceries. Mom gave the code so I wouldn't protest, I kept quiet when she paid. We also continue to shop for materials that are lacking and that have not been purchased. I also bought a king banana and pandan leaves, as well as other ingredients to make my cake and of course my mother did not let me pay.

Not long ago Mang Agus came with a young man carrying a wheelbarrow, earlier when I was again shopping at a grocer, Mother was contacted by Mang Agus to ask where we were, and then there was a, Mang Agus raised the groceries on the wagon and the rest were brought by him. My mother and I were not allowed to carry anything, just our bags.

Mother also took us to the coconut milking place, because my mother wanted to buy grated coconut for chicken together, as well as I who want to buy coconut for my ingredients later.

After it feels enough and complete shopping. We also headed to the parking lot. Mang Agus and porters encouraged to deliver groceries to where our cars were parked. While my mother and I headed to the mosque which was in front of the market to pray dzuhur first.

After praying, my mother invited me to eat at the warteg which is still in the market area. Mang Agus has also followed us to warteg.

"Gus did you give me his wages?, I forgot to give you his money".Ask Mang Agus.

"Udah Mak, I used my money". Answer Mang Agus.

"Make your money change". Mother said while giving money one hundred and fifty thousand.

"Most of you, I only came out ten thousand". Mang Agus.

"Well, what do you do for the cost of sending us, what do you want to eat?". Said mother.

"I ordered black coffee with my mommy". The answer.

I ordered rice mixed with omelet, stir-fry, kale and sambal, to drink it I ordered ice water. While the mother mesan rice mix orek tempe, potato balado and gulai jackfruit, to drink iced tea with a little sugar.

After eating and paying, we rushed home to go home.

Arriving at home, the groceries were brought into the mother's house, while my groceries to make cakes, I separated because I would make them in rented only.

"This cake, I'll take it home so I can work on the contract". I said while taking my groceries.

"Well don't make it here? Who helped you?" Ask Mom.

"I can do my own work mak, make the cake is also not complicated, ntar if the hassles I can ask for help Mas Arya." My answer.

Before leaving the house, I was called by Mbok Minah.

"Neng Aisyah wait this time the key hasn't been taken". Call Mbok Minah as she approaches me and gives me the key.

***

Arriving at the contract, when going into the house. There was Mbak Ningsih again sweeping the porch of his house. He looked at me and smiled, I smiled at him too.

He then walked up to the wall of his house with my contract. The front wall is not as high as the back wall so it can look.

"Shopping for a prayer reading event tomorrow huh Ais? My Grace has already told me". His word.

"Yes Ma'am, I made the cake if the food weighs the cooking at the house of Bu Hajjah Salamah". My word.

"You make your own cake, can I help you? Ask.

"I can anyway - may Mbak, as long as not ngerepotin mbak". My answer.

"No ice, I also have no work at home. Please let me permit Rahmat first". He then entered his house.

Not long after he got out and headed to my contract. We also went inside.

I'll make my signature cake which is katrisala, copara talemme (submerged banana) and jalangkote.

Katrisala is a cake whose top is made from black or white glutinous rice cooked with coconut milk and pandan leaves, while the bottom is made from a mixture of eggs, coconut milk and palm sugar. This cake is cooked by steaming.

Sanggara talemme is a cake made from a king banana that is steamed after it is brushed with eggs and then fried. Then the middle is divided into pieces of roasted peanuts mixed with butter and sugar. Served with sugar sauce that has previously been melted. You can also add grated cheese or chocolate on it.

Jalangkote is a cake that is similar in shape to pastels. The difference is that pastel cakes have thicker skin compared to jalangkote. For the filling is almost the same as pastels, but some people add egg filling or minced meat, eaten with a liquid chili and vinegar mixture plus sugar and flavoring.

We also immediately process the ingredients that exist to make cakes. I taught Mbak Ningsih how to make these cakes, because he was not familiar with the cakes we made.

Thank God after a few hours, our work was done. Mbak Ningsih is also quick to respond so I am not too difficult to teach him.

For katrisala cake and chignon talemme after cold I put it in the refrigerator while for jalangkote I fried half cooked before putting it in the refrigerator, tomorrow before the new start event will be fried again until cooked. I put it in a bottle after that I keep it in the refrigerator.

After cleaning the kitchen, clean the equipment and wash it. Mbak Ningsih said goodbye to go home, do not forget I gave the cake that we had made as a thank you.

After the return of Ms. Ningsih, I rushed to take a shower after that I had performed the Ashar prayer.

After the prayer, I went to the kitchen to cook for dinner, fortunately yesterday I had brought chicken so just stay fried, coupled with the vegetables and sambal terasi. While frying the chicken, I cooked the rice.

It did not take long my cooking was so, just wait for the rice to mature.

I went back to my room to rest and wait for my husband to come home.

Seriate.
