Agnese immediately dropped out of class after reading a message from Dennis because there was something very important to say. So, he went out to find out what was important according to the man. Who knows can help him get away from Zach.
"What do you want to say?" agnese asked as she arrived in front of Dennis.
"I'll say it, but not here."
"Then where?"
"Somewhere, maybe? I came here to pick you up."
Agnese. "For what?"
"Don't you want the maid at your house to go?" Agnese nodded. "You have to do it yourself" Dennis continued.
"I still have class, Dennis. It's not even lunchtime yet."
"It's a direct order from Mr. Zach, so it's okay to leave class."
"I don't want to follow his orders!"
"You're gonna keep doing her thing if you don't become a submissive girl" Dennis broke up, then cut her off.
"But ...."
"You're with me, Agnese. Don't worry."
Dennis realized that to melt the rigors of the temperament possessed by Agnese, it was not easy. Must be given a strong reason and also a little encouragement so that the temperament can soften over time. Moreover, the girl always put negative thoughts ahead of everything because she does not want to end up in vain like the father who died at the hands of someone who is very trusted.
Agnese let out a long breath. "alright. I'll get the bag first."
"No need!"
"Why?" ask Agnese again.
"Let your friend take it."
"You mean, Yoana?"
Dennis nodded. "He'll be with your mother as long as we're gone."
"Can't do that, Dennis! I asked the maid to leave because I wanted to take care of my own mother. Why did you ask Yoana to take care of it?"
"Mr Zach said, if you let the maid go, then what would replace her would be your friend. Because a friend won't ask for a reward when helping his friend, right?" Dennis threw away the gum that had been in his mouth and changed the position of his hand to get into the pocket of his pants. "You don't have to spend money on that."
Agnese smiled bitterly and let her tears slip away. "I think of you like my brother because I think you're different from him, Dennis. But, I was wrong. You're the same, heartless."
"Hey! I'm sorry you think that, but I agree with Mr. Zach on this. You can't put your ego on hold if you want your mom to heal. I purposely brought that maid into your house to take care of her and look after her while you were in Dallas and if you were working."
Agnese wiped her tears. Dennis is right, he should not be selfish if he wants Briza's recovery to happen. However, he could not accept any more help from Zach. He felt that he had enough of him involved in his life. He is always asked to repay the good he has done.
Agnese knew that the good done by others must be reciprocated. However, not for that narcissistic arrogant guy. It is better that he never receive help at all, than to be asked for a reply that is completely unwelcome.
"Alright, I'm not going to ask the maid to leave" Agnese broke up which made Dennis smile.
"Good girl! Then come on!" Dennis moved both of his legs to walk. However, just a few steps away, Agnese's question made her stop.
"To where? Didn't I agree not to return the maid?"
Dennis turned his body back.
"I want to take you somewhere so that your heart will be calm and happy." Dennis opened the car door for Agnese. "Come in" he commanded.
Agnese got into the car and immediately put on a safety belt after sitting down. "What about Joanna?"
"She can come, but not for today."
"Tp ...."
Dennis moved his index finger as if he disagreed. "No more questions, Agnese."
"All right, thank you."

They sat facing each other and took their places near the door so that they could see anyone who came and went home. Dennis deliberately took his place there to minimize the odds of that happening. Like if there are criminals or enemies who come while they are eating food. So, they can leave the place as soon as possible.
Dennis raised a hand to call the waitress who was going to serve them. He let Agnese look through the menu first while waiting for the waiter to arrive.
"What do you want to eat, Agnese?" dennis asked when the waitress had arrived.
"Tacus!"
"That's all?"
Agnese nodded enthusiastically. "I haven't eaten it in a long time."
"alright. Bring me all the food on this menu."
Agnese was shocked. All menus? Although the menu on Chipotle is not too much, but ordering everything on the menu is very unreasonable. "What are you doing?"
"I thought you liked all the food on the menu" Dennis replied, scratching the back of his head.
"no need. Can you finish it all?" Agnese let out a long breath. "I don't like people overdoing it, so please don't do things that would make me dislike you like her" Agnese explained later.
Dennis nodded. "alright. Then we just order tacos and burrito bowls."
The waiter repeated their order before leaving to hand it to the chef who was in the kitchen. While waiting for their order to come, the waiter delivers a serving of chips complete with sauce that is usually eaten with chips.
"I'm sorry if my behavior or words upset you. I'm just trying to make you feel good about what Mr. Zach told me." Dennis opened his voice after the waitress left.
Agnese again exhaled a long breath. "Thank you, Dennis, but I'm getting pissed when you say his name. Really am. Hearing his name alone, it had already managed to make my emotions bulge."
"Why do you look so hateful to her?" dennis asked curiously while eating chips.
Agnese. His memory was focused on the things that had happened while he was together and near Zach. "He's been so mean to me. Since his presence, my life has become unsettled. Many problems arise."
"It's your scholarship that's been revoked, not him that did it, but me."
Agnese smiled. "But you wouldn't do it without being told, would you?"
"He had his reasons, Agnese. As long as I work for him, he will only do unusual things to someone he likes" Dennis explained to Agnese to stop blaming Zach for what happened.
"Likes?" Agnese laughed blandly. "Who am I to the liking of an arrogant man like him?" agnese continued while focusing on a doll claw machine in the corner of the room, just behind Dennis.
Dennis swallowed the chips, then put them back in his mouth. "You know, sometimes we can't judge someone just because we see what's going on."
"I know it, but he's different, Dennis."
"Different how?" ask Dennis for a few times.
"Ah, stop! Why are we talking about it?"
Agnese chose to bite the tacos that the waitress had just brought. The taste of tortilla rolls combined with chicken meat, pieces of lettuce, cheese, and mayonnaise made the girl's saliva even more. For a long time he did not eat corn-based sweets.
"This is so good" Agnese said, chewing on tacos.
Dennis smiled at Agnese who was enjoying her food. It was like there was a sense of relief when I saw that smile. He is very grateful because it is not wrong to choose a place to fill the stomach even though it can be said only to block the stomach because the menu there is not too filling.
As he was about to put a spoonful of burritos in his mouth, Dennis' movements stopped when he saw someone suspicious. Moreover, he had caught the man taking pictures of himself and Agnese. He sipped the margarita again, then got up to approach her.
"Where are you going?" ask Agnese.
Dennis looked at Agnese and smiled. "You wait here, I have something to take care of. Okay?"
Dennis turned his gaze away from Agnese. He refocused his eyes where the man was. But alas, he lost track of it because it gave the person a chance to run away while staring at Agnese.
"Damn!" yup, Dennis and sit back.
"What's wrong?" ask Agnese while chewing.
To be continue ....
