14. Engagement Night

The night of the engagement that will be held at Aina's house at seven o'clock. Everyone is busy with their own business. Aina was busy in the kitchen preparing all the dishes for the invited guests.

"Ai, why haven't you dandan as well?" ask Bude Diyah who since Maghrib has been in Aina's house.

"This bude, all must be neatened and prepared so that later do not bother later." replied Aina was still busy with her activities.

"Who?" ask Aina.

"This is Aunt Rossi, Ai." replied Aunt Rossi from the outside.

Aina who was hugged just remained stiff. He was surprised by his tantalizing behavior, usually going to be chatty and always the questions that sometimes make Aina lazy to answer it.

"Thank you Auntie, it should be" Aina said wisely.

Thankfully, he thought, at least he wasn't always confused by that question. At least tonight he should look cheerful and happy even though he is still single. There might be pity stares as well as cynical gazes, but he should look indifferent and stupid with it.

"Let's go out baby, all are in the gathering you know" said Aunt Rossi as she reached for Aina's hand.

"Yes Aunty." replied Aina happily reaching for her aunt's hand.

Then Aina and Aunt Rossi left Aina's room. Aunty Rossi had seen the suitcase that was ready to be packed.

"What was that suitcase for Ai?" tanyakanya.

"Tomorrow afternoon Aina had to go to the city of Auntie." replied Aina.

"Get into town?" ask Rossi astonished.

"Aina's moved to her job in the town of Auntie" Aina replied casually.

"So you want to leave Auntie Ai?" the tone of his tantrum made Aina's heart amused by his reaction.

"Not aunty, but Aina's father, mother and sister are also Tan" Aina said again.

"Well, I'll never see you again."

"Yes, later Aina will often go home while on vacation. Aunty calm down, aunt Tumben sad with Aina." joked Aina.

"Ish, you. When Aunt's niece wants to go away, not sad." said Rossi while hugging Aina's waist, Aina just smiled.

"I'm kidding. Yeah, well ahead, Auntie."

Then they join the others. Five minutes later the show began. The ring exchange event was witnessed by all the invitations, they seemed happy with the event. Shella and Arya smiled happily, and the invitees congratulated them.

Parents were also relieved by the smooth engagement, both parents also negotiated the date and month of the wedding. Once the agreement is reached, the marriage will be finalized in two months.

Aina could only smile, there was nothing she could say with the deal. Everything is arranged by parents. After the event, everyone enjoyed the dishes that were already available. Not much was invited, but it was pretty good.

Everyone enjoyed and chatted casually, there were laughs and jokes on the sidelines of the chat. Aina herself was enjoying the night she was out of the house, sitting on a bench in the garden beside the house. He enjoyed a night filled with stars in the sky. His heart was no longer sad, he really felt happy with his sister's engagement.

There was a smile on his face. He looked back at the star-studded sky. Trying to take off the burden that he had been holding in the room for the engagement of his sister and friend.

"Ashik is alone here." a voice that shocked Aina.

He looked towards the voice, then smiled sweetly. Making the man who turned out to be aldo was happy to see Aina's sweet smile.

"Yes, I'm enjoying and happy tonight. Don't worry, Al." said Aina who seemed to know what Aldo would talk next.

Aldo just smiled, he sat down next to Aina and looked at the dark sky. Either he was very happy to sit with Aina alone on the porch of the house.

"Look at Ai, the star always shines even though the dark faithfully accompanies him" said Aldo still looking up at the sky.

"Yes, the stars are always faithful to the darkness. But the light cannot change the darkness itself, it needs the help of the moon to illuminate the earth" said Aina answered the parable that began Aldo.

Aldo looked at Aina closely. Who looked at it as if indifferent to the behavior of his friend. He knew Aldo was expecting it, but he didn't care about Aldo's feelings.

"I'm sorry, I don't accept the ropes of friendship let alone a boyfriend" said Aina still faithfully staring at the dark sky.

Aldo was still silent, he knew what Aina was thinking. Sighs long, withered breaths before developing. That is the parable of his heart today.

"You broke my spirit Ai" Aldo said, turning his eyes away.

Aina simply smiled, she then got up from her seat. And looking at Aldo, the friend from the arya seemed to have other feelings for Aina.

"You don't have to feel sorry for me either, Al. You don't even have to comfort me" Aina said.

"Can't we just be friends as usual?" ask Aldo.

"No." answered Aina quickly.

Aldo looked at Aina again, and the two turned their heads towards someone who was approaching them. Aina got up from where she was standing, and then walked away from Aldo and who was approaching her.

"I'm bothering you, huh?" ask Aldo to come closer.

"No, I want to come in. Later in the search for father, my father can not long lose this child." Aldo only chuckled at Aina's words, he glanced at Arya who was silent for a moment because Aina was indifferent to Arya.

"Father's favorite son it turns out. Looks like I have to talk to Edi, ask this beautiful child" said Aldo, making Aina splash her mouth.

"I'm serious Al, can't accept friendship or boyfriend, I don't know. I'm lazy on both, you're pretty much my friend."

"Sadly my fate, only considered a friend. Neither did my best friend" said Aldo.

"I think you know what I mean, Aldo. It's enough of this talk, I'm going in" Aina said.

Just as Aina was about to step up, Arya came over to them. Him

"Ai, you're here as it turns out." said Arya.

"Why?" asked Aina in wonder.

Aldo just looked at Aina and Arya in turn. He finally went first. He wanted to give Arya and Aina time to talk.

"That's it, I'll go first. You can talk as you please." Aldo immediately left the two who were still silent.

"What's up?" aina asked a little.

Arya who knows with Aina's attitude like that to her, she will immediately speak her intentions and goals to meet Aina. Aina gave a rough snort, stared far to the side then lowered her head.

"I'm sorry Ai. For the past two years I have felt guilty about you, but I have no intention of making you hurt by using you." explained Arya.

Aina just kept quiet with Arya's explanation. He is hurt, but not completely, just why he always finds people who always use it. Then go leave him.

"I've forgiven you.Get my sister happy and never hurt her" said Aina,

Aina then got up from her seat, she did not want to linger with Arya and left Arya and went into the house. He did not want his father to know with his absence from his future sister-in-law due to matters of the heart.

Arya herself felt a little relieved, even though she actually wanted to talk a lot with Aina. But Aina apparently did not want to talk to him for too long. But at least Aina had forgiven him. She could talk to Aina, although she would often meet Aina after marriage.

At least this was a good start for him after all these years he had not spoken to Aina. Because Aina herself was avoiding him. The show lasted until ten o'clock in the evening, after all agreed upon, the Aryan family came home with a happy heart.

Because her son is getting married soon. So did Aina's family, all looking happy.
