Chapter 41

In His Room

Looking away from the window, he stroked his flat stomach. It was a very beautiful moment of a mother waiting for her unborn child. But a cruel fate will separate them.

" Dear, I'm sorry if I left you early. Ilove you. " He whispered with tears in his eyes.

Suddenly someone barged in surprising him. Therehewas. He quickly slipped his hand from his stomach.

" What are you doing here?" Lan You Nian said coldly.

He turned around not wanting to see her expression but suddenly his hands wrapped around her waist.

His eyes widened he was afraid that he could feel it. So he tried to let go. But he's too strong. He stood there motionless for a few seconds. The warmth of the man enveloping him was somehow comforting.

He suddenly put his head on the corner of his neck. He could feel her breath gasping as she hugged him.

" Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? " Tears that are resistant flow like a river.

" I'm sorry for ignoring you. " He said. He suddenly felt something wet on his neck. And she finally realized that it was her tears.

" I'm so sorry. " He sobbed at the thought of how much he hurt her so much that he cried. Lan You Nian knew that she was here to convince him to abort their baby.

" But I don't want to lose you. " Feng Yi Xuan added hinting that he would choose her no matter what.

" I can't do that to our son. " His lips quivered as he said this.

Lan You Nian noticed that she did not know that she would return even if she did not look after their child. She must choose between her giving birth then dying or aborting, and returning to the modern world in fine condition only.

He would never choose the latter. This is his first child with the man he loves, he's willing to risk everything.

She turned around, she held her face in her hands. Dyia looked at her, this was the first time she saw her red eyes. He wiped away the tears that fell on his handsome face.

" Why don't we try? maybe me and our baby will survive. " Lan You Nian knew it was impossible but he would persuade her even if it was a lie.

" Hmm Xuan Xuan. For our baby's sake. " He looked at her with hope. His eyes were shining with tears in them.

" But I'll make sure you're safe and well. " Feng Yi Xuan finally gave up. He knew he was willing to do anything for their baby.

' Xuan Xuan pardon me. Please take care of our baby's safety, she said in her mind.

" I'm not going to take the concubine. " The word he said made him look up so quickly.

This wasn't in his plan. Lan You Nian desperately wanted her to take the concubine so that the concubine could take care of their child when Lan You Nian left.

" But it's necessary to take the concubine because you're more than capable. A man will have at least one concubine to have more children. I-i didn't... " Before he could continue saying that, Feng Yi Xuan cut him off.

" This is the final decision. I don't want it. " His voice is firm.

Feng Yi Xuan simply kept silent as she rubbed her back in a soothing manner. He felt like he was holding his world. His hands hugged her tightly in a protective manner.

" Have you ever thought that something would happen to you and our baby? " He started to grumble.

" I know and I'm sorry. " He doesn't know how to convince her.

" Don't do that again. That's killing me. " Feng Yi Xuan wasn't good at expressing her own feelings but this time she told him. He was hurt greatly by his decision.

His heart was broken when he said that. This was the first time she had expressed her true feelings and she said that she was hurt. He was like a small child who did not know how to express his own emotions.

" I'm sorry. "she tiptoed and grabbed her head towards him. While saying her apology, she gave him a kiss on her lips and that was immediately greeted with a kiss of Feng Yi Xuan. And they kissed long enough that Lan You Nian was out of breath and Feng Yi Xuan let go of her kiss.

After the moment of their little apology, Feng Yi Xuan simply hugged him tightly. She still could not believe that her most loved one was pregnant with a small version of herself in her stomach.

He feels very lucky to have her. And he thanked the god for blessing him with an incredible angel in his dark and empty world.

" I would never ask anything of you before, but I want her to be with me forever. " Feng Yi Xuan's last thought was to pray to the god he had just acknowledged.
