CHAPTER 7 The Endless Dilemma

Before 13:00 Alvino had gone to the cafe where he promised to meet Kanza. Apparently the girl had felt there first. He sat down sweetly playing his phone accompanied by a glass of drink. Don't forget Kanza ordered drinks for Alvino too.

"Your favorite hot chocolate, Al." Kanza offered the glass to Alvino who was received with thanks.

"Have you waited a long time?" Ask Alvino.

"Not really," Kanza replied as she sipped her drink followed by Alvino.

"I have to go back to the office in half an hour" Alvino said, looking at his watch.

"Don't want to have lunch?"

"No Kanza, thank you. Maybe another time. My father's company is almost bankrupt. I can't let that happen after everything that's happened to our family."

"You're a hard worker Al. I think a lot of women are crazy about you."

"You're even harder working than me. You built your own business from scratch. Now you're the boss. Different from me who just continue my parents' efforts.

Kanza smiled as she stirred up her drink.

"Everyone says I'm a hard worker. Yes, I may have succeeded in material terms but failed in love."

"You will find your true love Za. Being on time doesn't mean you're always in a hurry, right?"

Kanza smiled then nodded. Saying what Alvino said.

"What's the news about Rania?"

Kanza's water suddenly became cloudy. He breathed a long breath as if preparing bad news to be delivered. Alvino captured all of that clearly. He also secretly braced his heart for bad news that would soon touch his eardrums.

"You never see Rania again?"

"If such promise me to keep your allegiance to Rania until the time comes for you to be united again." Kanza looked at Alvino seriously.

Alvino knows Kanza cares a lot about Rania's happiness. But, isn't this too pushy and selfish. How could Alvino promise to wait for the uncertain? Rania is getting married to Nico.
