The Lantern of Love of the Gods

The Lantern of Love of the Gods
Chapter 3 Wounds on the Wounds

"Peace with the situation is never easy. However, rejecting fate actually makes us even more sick."

As the cards are arranged to fall one then cause a series of falling effects or often referred to as the domino effect. One big event. Ah, no, correction again - one incident that is very large causes other major events. What Nico had done made the marriage of the eldest son of the Akbar family cancelled. Other events also followed, Akbar family shares plummeted. Some of his colleagues cut off business ties. Not to mention the injuries that had to be borne, both Alvino and Rania. Oh, Nico is such an amazing teenager. Absolutely incredible ringleader.

What this family should do now. Alvino is still ambitious to kill Nico every remember Rania. Maybe teenagers don't know they're better off dead than living with problems that adults can't solve. How not? Which girl whose heart is not broken when she experiences all this. He should have married his love. However, just as her legs were on the brink of marriage everything was completely destroyed.

Rania carries the heaviest burden. He feels that he has betrayed Alvino. He felt dirty, dirty, and unworthy to live again. Many times the girl tried to commit suicide. He experienced such a deep trauma that every time he saw a man he would cry hysterically for help. No exception when seeing Alvino who came with the intention of seeing the condition of his lover.

"Go you! Get out of front of me. Please don't hurt me again!!!"

Pyaaarrr!!!

A flower vase broke when it hit the wall. Luckily Alvino can avoid throwing Rania.

"Rania baby, this is Alvino coming." Her mother tried to calm her daughter.

"He's the bad guy, Ma!" Rania pointed at Alvino with a cruel look. "Go, go!!!"

Alvino's heart is so sliced. It turns out that the togetherness in a long time does not make Rania remember the figure of Alvino well in current conditions. Alvino swallowed bitterly. Heartbreaking chest.

"Rania, it's me, Alvino. You remember me?"

For a moment Rania's eyes looked at Alvino from head to toe. A glimmer of Alvino's hope appeared that Rania would remember him while scattering in Alvino's arms with tears.

Buuggg...!!!

"GO YOU!!! THE DEVIL!!!"

Crushed. Not a hug Alvino got but a pillow hit. Rania did not remember it in the least. Rania's hatred for Nico has led her to assume all men are Nico's bastards.

"Bec... Irina..." Alvino's voice was stuck in his throat. No matter how hard Alvino tries, the results will remain the same. Rania doesn't need herself. Rania needs a psychologist. His soul is not healthy now.

The girl kept shuffling around the corner of her bed. He covered his body with a thick blanket that left only his head. Her hair was messy and her eyes were puffy. Rania keeps freaking out seeing Alvino. Whatever her mother said did not change her mind one bit. For Rania all men are Nico.

"Darling..." The tears of Madam Putra flowed again. He took a strand of his daughter's hair that covered his face, tucked it behind his ear. Instantly it was clear that Rania's eyes were implying a great fear. His face was sad, there was no longer the rest of the cheerful look of the beautiful fairy. Dark, that was the look on the face that Rania showed. Fate had played him so hard. Without even a single excuse before. Really sassy!

"Alvino, I'm sorry Mama. Not that Mama kicked you out. But, you know for yourself Rania's situation. It's not right for you to be here right now."

"I know," replied Alvino in short.

"For a while let Rania calm down first. Mama knows this isn't easy..." Madam Son will never finish her sentence. His voice sank into a sobbing. No mother in this world sees her daughter suffer, let alone a mere princess.

"I'm really sorry."

Madam Putra shook her head. Near him the fragile young man, clasped his hands tightly to strengthen his heart.

"It's not your fault, son. You've taken good care of Rania so far."

"No, Ma. I have failed to look after Rania. If I can take care of Rania then this won't happen. I'm off guard Ma. I'm a lousy young man." Alvino's voice sounded full of heartbreaking regret.

"There's no point, son, blaming yourself. You're not responsible for this. Don't make yourself worse."

Chief Alvino seemed to be nodding weakly.

"I'm taking Rania, Ma. Please take care of Rania until she can remember me again."

"Definitely Nak."

Alvino let go of Madam Putra's hand. He walked away from Rania's room. For a moment he turned to his lover who immediately looked terrified as Alvino looked towards him. Forced with a heavy heart he left the room with a million tears.

"How's Rania doing, son?"

Only a weak slab was given to Alvino on his mother's question.

"Sit here Al, we want to talk about something."

Without saying a word Alvino only complied when his father told him to sit down.

"Mr Son, it's honestly not worth talking about marriage in these circumstances. However, we also do not intend to lose responsibility. Our arrival here was meant to take responsibility for the actions of our son, Nico."

"Do you mean Mr Akbar, you still want to marry Alvino to Rania?"

Mr. Akbar shook his head.

"Not Alvino but, Nico."

Alvino's eyes popped out instantly. He could hardly believe his own hearing. Even the Son himself felt dreaming while awake.

"What did Dad do? It's not a wise decision, Dad. Marrying a rape victim to the perpetrator is a very fatal mistake. Dad's gonna make Rania suffer a lifetime of trauma."

"Silence Alvino. I know what you're doing isn't the right thing. You have a reason why you chose this decision."

Alvino breathed out violently. Trying hard to control his emotions in front of Papa Rania.

"If you may know, what is the real reason for Mr Akbar?"

Mr. Akbar's gaze turned towards Mr. Son.

"The one who did this heinous deed was Nico, not Alvino. If Alvino is responsible then that is not true for both, even if Alvino is willing to marry Rania. However, how can I educate Nico to know the responsibility for his actions if the one who married Rania was Alvino?"

"Sorry Mr Akbar, isn't Nico still in High School?"

"Yes, right. We all know, Nico's still in High School. It seems impossible not to marry a 25-year-old girl to an 18-year-old."

"Sorry, interrupt Dad. But I think Dad made a selfish decision. I don't know how much hate Rania has for Nico. He even thinks all men are Nico. Then, how can you marry them? I'm just thinking about Nico's responsibilities without tolerating Rania's trauma!"

"What Alvino says is there's a point, Dad." Madame Akbar chimed.

"We're not going to marry them right now. Nor must Nico be present in front of Rania in this unlikely condition. They will get married when Rania recovers. In the meantime, don't bother them, Alvino."

"But, father..."

"You must understand Alvino that everyone who does is responsible!"

Alvino hardened his jaw. I want to see him hit the glass table in front of him. His father's decision had made a wound above the wound. This is the same as his father wants to separate the love of Alvino and Rania. Forcibly seizing Alvino's happiness under the pretext of responsibility sounds sickening. How is his father different from Nico?

Alvino secretly screeches not to like. He felt helpless to play.

"Aren't we better off, after all, listening to the opinion of Mr. Son as Rania's father?" Said Madame Akbar.

Mr. Akbar nodded.

"really. This decision, however, would be useless without the consent of both families. So, I hope Mr. Son agrees with me."

The face of the Lord Son seemed worried. Obviously for him it was not an easy decision. Silent to make a decision, he did not answer. Makes Alvino feel impatient. He was a little hopeful that Mr. Son would not agree with his father's decision.

"Alright Mr. Akbar, at this time which is best for my daughter. I agree."

Dismissed Alvino's hopes.

"Then what about me, Dad? That long ago dad ruined me?"

It's like a planned conspiracy. If true, the devil is behind all this!

"You will find a new way Alvino. Life must move forward. Fall is not the end of everything, but the beginning of the resurrection."

"That's all!"

Alvino rose up with a feeling of anger. He felt like he was not thought of by his family at all. Disappointed, the pain had piled up in the chest.

"Alvino wait!" Madam Akbar grabbed Alvino's hand.

"Deliver!" Alvino denied rough. Without a care he breezed away from the residence of the Lord Son with a burning feeling of anger.
