Promises

I was asleep in my bed, but suddenly there was a very loud sound from outside immediately woke me up. The sound was exactly like a shot.

"Heh, it looks like the kids are playing firecrackers."

I got out of bed, and came out of the room to look for Cornelio. The house looks quiet, I yell call Cornelio and enter one by one the room starting from the kitchen, warehouse, guest room and room Cornelio.

"I didn't find Cornelio on the second floor." I said while rubbing my eyes with my right hand

When I went down the stairs a very loud explosion suddenly sounded and it made the whole house shake.

And in a row the bullets flew into the glass of the first floor window until it made the glass break.

I immediately lowered my head and hid behind the stairs, and once again a loud explosive sound rang out again.

I also felt a slight tremor on the floor.I don't know what it was, it's like an earthquake.

"I thought the article was lying!" Mumbles

I then ventured down the stairs and on the floor near the sofa saw someone covered in blood, she was a mature woman.

I approached her, I flipped over her body and saw that her body was already filled with holes all over her body.

I stood up and went to all the rooms on the first floor, but I found nothing.

The tremors and sounds of violent explosions continued to occur. I saw a trail of blood heading to the garage, I then ventured to enter the garage and saw Cornelio there with his legs covered in wounds.

Cornelio's legs look a lot like a beehive. Blood kept coming out of his legs, yet he was still able to wake up.

Alongside Cornelio, Sendy is also seen covering Cornelio's wounds with gauze.

"Why are you here?" I said while glaring sharply at him

He did not answer my question and cried.

Cornelio also continued muttering "Michael, Michael, Michael"

I approached Cornelio and helped Sendy cover Cornelio's wounds using gauze.

I also press on the visible blood vessels outside the skin. And laid Cornelio down and lifted his legs and his stomach higher than his heart.

I examined other parts of Cornelio's body and found no other gunshot wounds other than those on his legs and stomach.

"Hey, what happens when I sleep?" I asked Sendy

She did not answer my question and continued to cry.

"Hey!!! Yep!!! I'm asking you stupid!!!" I snapped to Sendy

She still cries and doesn't care about me.

"It looks like this guy really is mentally." Thought

"Okay, looks like maybe this is coming, but I'm gonna get Cornelio in the car." I said while opening the car door

She was still crying and didn't care about me.

I then dragged Cornelio's body and put it in the car. "Hey! What are you gonna do?" Ask Sendy

"Oh, stop crying too! I'm gonna put Cornelio in the car."

"What did you do after that!!" Sendy asked while pulling Cornelio's sleeve

I chose to be quiet and not say anything.

"Michael, k, are you safe, right?" Cornelio said in a soft voice and an empty gaze

"Let me be safe! And it's thanks to you! Daddy!"

I then put Cornelio in the driver's seat, and I got out of the car.

"Sen! You can hide in that box! Because it's going to be risky!"

Sendy obeyed the order and he hid in the box I pointed at.

"Okay, it's time to do it as promised!" I muttered while opening the garage door.

(In the meantime from Sendy's point of view.)

"Why did he tell me to get into this box? This box is really dark!" Thought

I then heard the sound of the car running and moments later many sounds mixed in at one time.

It made me cry and I guessed that my life would not be floating around for long.

The last voice I heard was the screams of many people.

A few seconds later someone opened the chest I was hiding in.

"It's okay now! And help will be here in 9 hours!" Hanan said with a smile towards me.

"A, what happened to your hand?" I said while frightened to see it.

He seemed to feel no pain at all, his face looked ordinary as if nothing had happened.

"Oh, run over the car!" Hanan said as she stuck out her right hand at me.

The fingers of his right hand also seemed to be broken and there were some that looked very black as if they were burnt.

I touched it, I felt my hand like it was being hit by electricity, it made me startle and instantly let go of her hand.

(The point of view switches back to Hanan)

"Sorry, I forgot, I was accidentally electrocuted by an electric pole." I said while looking back at my right hand.

Then Sendy came out of the box himself, and he looked out the garage door.

He looks very shocked to see a pile of dead army corpses in a charred state, like being burned alive.

He looks away from me and says "A, what are you doing? Where's Dad?"

"He sacrificed before he really died." I said while pointing towards the car we were riding in earlier.

"You're not sad? Di, he's your father!"

"I won't show it in front of anyone else."

I then threw the wrapped burger towards Sendy.

"Maybe you will be hungry because help will come within 9 hours."

I then turned around and again wanted to head outside looking for something I could eat.

"Wait!!" Sendy shouted to me

"Did? What's the need to call me?"

"You look taller than ever!"

I then looked at my body and it turned out that I was right now like a 14-year-old when in reality I was 6 years old.

"Well! I think I'm a teenager too soon!" I said to Sendy as I walked out.

"Oh! Aye! You stay here, don't go anywhere!" I shouted to Sendy

I went back to Cornelio's car, it was completely destroyed.

Alongside me was also a lot of charred meat that smelled very pungent.

It was like I was looking at a pile of black models with different poses.

I also saw some destroyed drones here. Near the bakery there was also a tank that stopped moving and seemed to have been damaged.

"This is their coffin, as people who are honorable and willing to sacrifice. Their coffins are made of sturdy iron, and this is free, this is better than having to buy an expensive wooden coffin." I muttered in front of the tank

I then entered the bakery, where there were many loaves of bread lined up beautifully in the storefront.

I opened it and took one piece of the bread as a snack.

After I was full I went back to check out this shop who knew there was still someone alive.

I entered every room that was here but found no one here. I left the store and wanted to go home.

On the way I saw a lot of pedestrians being killed with gunshot wounds.

However, one of the corpses took out a moving tentacle from his gunshot wound.

Out of curiosity I approached the corpse and forcibly pulled the tentacles.

When I pulled it, there was another tentacle coming out of the body and it became as thin as a needle and pierced my heart from behind.

I was shocked, and forcefully pulled the tentacle out of my heart, it almost pierced my heart.

I then took out a little stream of electricity from my hand and held onto the tentacle, setting the corpse on fire.

"What the hell is this? The tentacles are similar to the ones I've seen before." I said while covering the wound on my back with my hand.

I then stood up and headed back home on foot.

I reached my house and saw Sendy obeying my words to stay.

But he seemed to be crying because he saw a previous adult woman who died with gunshot wounds all over her body.

"Who is he?" Much

"D, she's my mother."
