Chapter 18: Wait for Me to Return

That morning after breakfast, Cia Yonggan was already preparing to go to the traditional market in Shangwa. From here to the market it takes an hour drive. The road to the residence of Cia Yonggan is not a highway that is commonly used by people. From here to the highway it takes at least thirty to forty minutes of travel. To buy potatoes and take care of transport trucks to his farm and buy food and household goods, he estimated it would take four hours. When he left at eight this morning, it was likely that before lunchtime he had returned, so he had time to have lunch with Gao Mei Gui.

"May Gui, you wait for me to come home. Later after I bring home the meat, you can cook your favorite meat for our meal this afternoon" Cia Yonggan said as she walked towards Gao Mei Gui's car.

"Aih, I can't wait to eat some beef. Yonggan, you don't be long, huh," said the girl deliberately turned her lips, making Cia Yonggan anxious.

"Yes, I won't be long" the young man replied as he opened the front door of the car.

But when he looked back, he found Gao Mei Gui giving a gesture as if to hug, he widened both hands towards Cia Yonggan.

Cia Yonggan merely shook his head with a smile then walked back towards the girl and gave the girl a warm embrace. They hugged so for a long time.

"You're acting like I'm going far away. I'll be home soon too, no need to be like this" Cia Yonggan commented while still hugging the girl.

He was actually heavy to release this hug, but no matter how life goes on, it is impossible to just hug like this.

"I just don't want to part with you, is it wrong?" reply the girl sewot.

"No, you're not wrong" Cia Yonggan hurriedly chimed in.

"Then you don't stay long. Whatever happens out there, you have to go home soon" Gao Mei Gui said, giving clear emphasis, as this was her first farewell since she first met the young man.

"Of course, you just wait for me here, don't go anywhere" replied Cia Yonggan again.

After Cia Yonggan said that, then Gao Mei Gui let go of his embrace.

Meanwhile Cia Yonggan started to board the car and drive it while waving his hands out of the window of the car which was responded heavily by Gao Mei Gui.

Actually Gao Mei Gui felt something strange since this morning, his heart was constantly pounding. He thought maybe he was not feeling well after a week of always accompanying Cia Yonggan to work under the hot sun. She decided to lay her body down for a moment before she cleaned the old breakfast dish this morning.

"Where are you taking me?" ask Cia Yonggan again.

"Lots of bacots! Hey you, you, you. Quickly tie him up," said the man again ordering his three subordinates to tie Cia Yonggan.

Three people walked up to Cia Yonggan, as if they were getting ready to bind the young man, because the person they were about to summarize showed no symptoms of resistance.

"Hey hey's. Wait, why tie everything? Come along. Let's go anywhere, but there's no need to be tied up," Cia Yonggan tried to kink from the three people who wanted to remind him with a rope.

"Lots of bacots! Stamp him!" the man gave another order to his other subordinates.

Nevertheless, he kept trying, he was really afraid of something bad happening to his lover.

"Yonggan, are you okay?" he's getting anxious.
