Chapter 140 - The End of Life of an Entire Southern Hunter

Alvin decapitated The Destroyer's neck and absorbed all of his Mana energy after the assassin was no longer breathing.

All the hunters who were near the gate, who witnessed how Alvin defeated all the masked hunters very easily, immediately gathered nearby just after Alvin beheaded The Destroyer. However, Alvin had suddenly disappeared from that place.

Sam looked around, hoping to see Alvin still around the place but he could not find it.

"Where did he get that skill? I can't even feel his Mana energy at all" Sam murmured.

Amazed by Alvin's ability, Sam recalls how he advised Alvin on the day they first met again after a dozen years of not meeting and he was ashamed to say so.

Cyntia immediately left Shiva after she finished speaking.

Seeing Cyntia losing her vigilance, Shiva very quickly grabbed the fault from the top of the sword blade, then attacked Cyntia by throwing it straight towards her nape.

Shiva would never have noticed Alvin's presence if he hadn't noticed the change in Cyntia's facial expression. He turned around and was surprised to see Alvin behind him.

"Alvin's? Y-you... How can..."

"I really don't want to deal with you anymore and never intend to kill or even hurt you" Alvin said. His voice sounded extremely cold, as cold as the look in his eyes that made Shiva instantly shudder with just looking at each other like that.

Alvin spoke again after pausing his words for a few seconds, "Unfortunately you've made a mistake by receiving a bad Mana energy that you shouldn't have done."

"What do you mean?"

"The evil energy in your body is."

Shiva was silent for a moment. He knew the Mana energy in his body was uncomfortable, in contrast to the Mana energy he had all along.

Ever since Shiva obtained the Mana energy from that magic pill, he had an extremely strong urge to hurt even kill someone.

'What does he mean is which energy did I get after consuming the pill?'

"There's no way to save you" Alvin said.

"W-what?"

"Hunters with Mana energy like you should not be left wandering around. That's what I mean."

"Alvin.." -..."

"I won't make it hurt."

Shiva could understand the meaning of Alvin's words. He knew, from the look in his eyes, that Alvin was going to kill him. But, Shiva suddenly realizes that Alvin has no magic energy at all.

'Where is the energy? Did he lose his Mana energy?'

Shiva looked at Alvin.

'I deserve not to be aware of its existence. Was he hiding somewhere in this room?'

Shiva looked at Alvin once more. He suddenly felt he had a chance to attack her. Although his attack power will be reduced because he has to attack without using a weapon, but he thinks that it is enough.

'Where'd you guys? I'll kill...'

Shiva wanted to run to get close, but he could not move his body at all.

'What's going on? I can't...'

Both of his eyes widened as he looked at the all-black clothed body figure that he looked very familiar with. A headless body that is his own body.

Shiva glanced down and saw a flat board just below his neck, replacing his body.

He finally realized, Alvin had cut off his neck and put his head on the table without him knowing at all when Alvin did it.

Knowing that he was going to die in a few seconds, Shiva cried regretting what he had done all along. How he used Alvin, how he slandered Alvin behind his back.

Shiva could only continue to cry until his consciousness disappeared completely and he died in the basement in solitude.

Alvin actually killed him without leaving any excess pain.

Lawrence is already on a helicopter that will take him to City C.

"When do we go?" lawrence asked the pilot.

"In 5 minutes" said the pilot.

While waiting for the helicopter to take off, Lawrence picks up the cell phone Cyntia gave him to check what the phone actually contained.

Lawrence immediately saw a thumbnail as soon as he wiped the phone screen. That's a video. The video lets Lawrence know that George has been killed by a heart-wrenching accident at Alvin's hands.

"He's dead?"

"You're right."

Lawrence is surprised to hear Alvin's voice, especially when he sees Alvin already sitting next to him.

He immediately wanted to attack Alvin, but Alvin had already thrown Lawrence's body until he bounced down from the helicopter.

Alvin stared at the pilot and co-pilot of the helicopter.

"Wait here. I need a ride to get to City C."

"Y-yes?"

"I've already said it. Wait or I'll blow up this helicopter with you two in it.

"T-sure.., we'll wait for An..."

Alvin's gone from the helicopter.

He moved before Lawrence who was completely unable to move his entire body as Alvin had already begun to absorb his Mana core.

Alvin took the phone Lawrence dropped. He saw the contents of the video that was there for a while before finally destroying the phone.

"B-bro... Forgive me... Please..."

"I've done it before, haven't I?"

"But..."

"I told you I'd kill you if you made trouble with me again. You forgot that?"

"I'm not making trouble with you. I'm just..."

Before Lawrence, who had started to limp, finished his sentence, Alvin had already vanished from before the man and returned to the helicopter.

Lawrence finally could only stare at the helicopter's departure while his entire body began to dry up and he was killed horribly.
