"In this town?" In a sad style, Megan rubbed her lips using the back of her hand. "Again, I have to tell you first, Jason. You're Dad. I've never done that with another man.
"Oh, Megang!" Jason punched his own knee really embarrassed."why did we let that happen?"
"Sorry, Jason," said Megan stammered."But you're too strong. Your body is big and strong. It was almost like rape, but I'm not gonna tell anyone about it."
Although Megan was trembling in fear, all of a sudden her words sounded like a threat. Jason stepped on the brakes, forcing the car to a sudden stop by the side of the road. "No, Megan." I may be stupid, but I know for a fact I never forced you----that's not my style. You have every right to be angry, but you must also be pushing me to do that, right?"
Very gently, Megan touched Jason's arm even though the man immediately retreated. "You said it yourself, Jason. You were so drunk." Stifling at the man, tears filled his brown eyes and down his pale cheeks. "I'm so scared. My father would kill me if he found out. I've never done it with anyone else, Jason. You didn't know that? There's blood on the sheet."
Jason pulled away."I don't see blood."
"You didn't see it" Megan said sadly.
"I have to take pain pills to get rid of your hangover. You're still drunk the next day-almost all day. Do you think I want this, Jason? this is a big mistake. Olivia my friend----she's so nice to me.
He never demeaned our family. According to Mum, Olivia is a real woman.Mum always says it like I'm a whore and you know for yourself that it's not true. It was a terrible surprise for me, too. You don't know how hard it feels to try to control yourself, lock yourself in the bathroom. Mum asked me this morning if I wanted to say anything. I think he knows."
"Are you pregnant?"Jason looked at Megan's flat stomach.
"Yes" said Megan sadly."I know what you're thinking, Jason. You hate me."
Jason put his arm on the driver, lowered his head. It seems like he will never smile again.
"I don't hate you, Megan. It's not your fault. It's my fault."
"So what are we going to do?"
Jason groaned sadly as if he wanted to get rid of the whole world. Even the sunlight seemed to start disappearing. What would I do without my girlfriend Liv? I'd rather die, Jason thought. His mouth was bitter, as if he were eating iron, but Jason straightened up."I'll take care of you, Megan," Jason promised."This is my baby too. My responsibility. I knew a long time ago that life wouldn't be beautiful."
Liv was such a beautiful dream. Jason always felt Liv was too good for him.
Megan looked like she wanted to hug him, but Jason pulled back and leaned against the car door, breaking the window. "Olivia loves you," said megan, her voice so tense as if those words were stuck in her throat.
"He'll find another man" muttered Jason feeling his life was over.
Slowly Jason's anger subsided as his sense of worship grieved him. Megan was so small and desperate, that the woman's father, Jack Duffy, was brutal. He's a drunk and a loser and Jason can imagine the man would be rude to his daughter. Megan needs my support, as well as the baby the woman was carrying. The baby was my baby, Jason thought. In the end, the baby is the most important thing. Having been neglected by his father, Jason felt he had no choice but to accept responsibility."Our son deserves a future, Megan, "he said." I'm not running away."
An hour later Jason was in control enough to meet Olivia. The girl ran down Havilah's main staircase to greet Jason, her long and silky hair fluttering behind her like a flag blowing in the wind. So beautiful, so graceful, her smile glowed that Jason's heart was torn apart. Jason would never, even to death, forget Liv.Or stop missing that woman. Gifts are coming more and more" exclaimed Olivia excitedly as she raised her face, waiting for Jason's kiss.
"Can we go out for a minute, take a walk?"
"Of course, baby."Olivia slid her arm around Jason's waist. "What's wrong?" Olivia's love for Jason is soaring, then there's a glimpse of fear. Jason's handsome face was covered in pain.
The only way is to directly tell Olivia."I have some bad news, Liv."Jason guides Olivia to the colonnaded front porch.
"It's not about your mother, is it?" Olivia's beautiful gray eyes looked worried. Antonella Corey's health is not good.
"Not Mama."Jason shook his head."My mom's fine."But soon that will change. His mother must be very sad. His grandmother would go berserk.
"It's about something else. Let's take a walk in the park."
"You scared me Jason."Olivia hooked the arm around Jason's arm, staring at the man's determined face and grim-looking strong jaw.
"I'm so very sorry."Even then Jason could not estimate the magnitude of the pain.
Olivia shook the man's arm. "Jason, what's wrong?"Benak Olivia is racing fast. The last time I talked to Jason, just a few hours ago, he was so excited. Jason looked very sad. Even her golden skin seemed pale from emotions.
Jason paused for a moment near the pergola decorated with roses, those flowers. All the roses were bought to perfect their wedding feast. The whole pergola was hung by strands of fragrant double-petalled pink flowers."I don't know how to tell you this, Liv," Jason said. "My whole life, this is bad news I have to tell you. But I can't marry you."
Olivia looked at Jason blankly. Then shook his head slowly as if he wanted to clarify his vision. "Jason baby, you're talking senseless. You're gonna marry me tomorrow. Ilove you. You love me too ."
"I can't marry you Liv."The pain was overflowing within him. Jason raised his hand, as if to rub Olivia's cheek. Then let his hand droop. "A few months ago I did a crazy thing. It's unforgivable."
Olivia cupped her hands together, as if she were praying. "Tell me," Olivia urged, fear storming her glowing, black eyes.
"I love you, Liv," muttered Jason. It feels like he almost died. "I love you more than myself. I knew I was worthy to be your lover."
"You deserve. You deserve! Whatchu mean?" Olivia grabbed Jason's shirt, held on there.
"Megan Duffy came to you this afternoon" Jason said coldly. "She said she was pregnant."
Olivia's fucked up."Megan Duffy's! What does this have to do with us? Megan Duffy!" Suddenly Olivia turned around, making Jason could only see her slender back. "It's like I don't want to know. Is this God's punishment because I'm too happy?"
"Liv, please, you broke my heart. I hope, no matter how big, I don't have to tell you this, but I'm the baby's father, Liv."
For a moment Olivia stood silently like a statue, then fiercely turned to face Jason, her eyes as sharp as the eyes of the woman who was hit hard. "I don't know what's going on" said Olivia, tensed up to almost no sound." What do you mean you're the baby's father? How come? youlove me. We're getting married, remember? Harry has spent millions of dollars to make sure everything is perfect. You're lying."
