The Fool's

The Fool's
Cause You, I Feel Safe From The Things That Hurt Me.

Ara was awakened by the ringing of her deafening cell phone, the thing again - again somehow tucked away where made Ara say the oath of absorption because she was very forced to wake up. He sat with his eyes still closed even though his sleeping hours were never lacking.

The object then stopped making a sound making Ara speechless, still with the same position then unconsciously his head felt heavy his eyes deeper closed. Ahh the girl was really sleepy until the sound of her phone ringing again made her surprised for the second time to give a sensation of dizziness and light headaches due to waking up suddenly. Again.

"Ahh waeee?"

Ara sulks and is upset she wants to yell at the caller if she has enough energy but her head hurts and she doesn't want to be irritated by nagging so early.

"You still sleeping?"

Jae Hwan doesn't seem to be bothered by Ara's complaints because he bothers her. The girl just took a deep breath and snorted violently with no intention of answering Jae Hwan's question at all.

"I'll pick you up in an hour, I hope you've read my message and don't ask me why I'm picking you up."

Ara was still silent her brain was processing very slowly, then her forehead wrinkled causing both of her thin eyebrows to cling. He still did not understand the man's intentions.

"I'm trying to remember it but there's no memory of anything I can find from the word 'I'll pick you up in an hour',' did I make an appointment with you?"

This time it was Jae Hwan who took his breath in annoyance that made Ara subconsciously bite his lips waiting for the man to nag, but his guess was wrong.

"Read my message, and don't ask again."

Jae Hwan closes his call then Ara checks the chat from the man. His eyes rounded immediately his sleepiness disappeared he then scrambled his hair that had been a mess since.

"Donteohke!"

"An hour, I have an hour to shower and get ready."

He immediately got up from his bed almost jumping to pick up a towel hanging on the hanger and then went into the bathroom.

The girl came out of the bathroom with a toothbrush full of foam in her mouth, opening the wardrobe and pecking himself in the full body mirror there then found clothes that he felt were appropriate to go see Jae Hwan's family. Yes, the girl was invited to come there for whatever purpose but she only had an hour and did not think to ask again.

Exactly one hour when Jae Hwan again called the girl who is now busy with her sneakers, he glanced from the window to find that the man's car was already there Ara accelerated his movement to tie the shoelaces then got up after taking his sling bag. He picked up the phone after getting into the elevator

"Have you eaten?" Jae Hwan's mother asked after welcoming the girl at the door, leading them to a dining table on which was already full of Korean home-cooked dishes, the woman hugged him warmly and a dazzling smile even at her no longer young age. Makes Ara remember Jae Hwan's story about her mother.

"Ne, I've had breakfast."

Ara answered nervously her hand rubbing the nape covered by her strung hair.

"Even so you have to eat, sit down!"

Jae Hwan's mother insisted, his view for Ara was intimidating enough as an order while Jae Hwan just giggled at Ara's misbehavior.

Then the owner of the house joined in, the old man still looked fresh even though some white hair was clearly visible. Not smiling made Ara nervous. Walking slowly then welcomed by Jae Hwan's mother and there Ara saw the smile, the smile that was given only to the most beautiful woman in the house. Then Jae Hwan rubbed the back of Ara's hand making him look at the man, his eyes like he was saying 'you can count on me' like back then. When Ara decided to make the man a refuge.

Ara knew a day like this would happen given the conversation Jae Hwan and his family had last Sunday told Ara, she just didn't expect it to be this fast. The girl really didn't know what to do. He felt like he was being judged, whether the clothes he was wearing were decent or his ethics were correct. Although Jae Hwan's parents didn't think about it because this was just a casual meeting they just wanted to get to know Ara further.

"Aaahhh.. So you live alone?"

The question asked by Jae Hwan's mother when she told him that Ara was from Indonesia. Ara just nodded she was acting very calm today making Jae Hwan look at her with a strange look.

"You're doing character assassination?"

The whisper of the man who was immediately answered with a sharp look of Ara.

"Keumanhera (i said stop)!!"

Jae Hwan's mother, Kim Soo Hee then took a tray containing a small pot with three small cups that are usually used for tea. This time Sollip-cha (pine needle tea) is an herbal tea made from pine needles, or pine tree leaves. In Korea, tea made from Korean pine leaves or Manchurian red pine is known as sollip-cha, the water is almost like a non-concentrated and clear green tea.

"I added honey in it, it's good that you don't get tired easily."

the middle-aged woman allowed Ara to try it, she took her cup then inhaled the aroma that came out, not too sharp as if she could enjoy it.

"I hear you work part-time too?"

Ara again - again just nodding, her voice choking in the throat. He was really nervous. While Jae Hwan's mother waited for more response than that. They had met once and Ara was very cheerful and talked a lot but meeting in a house like this seemed to make Ara ciut guts. Jae Hwan's mother smiled. He remembered that he had also been in that position and was just as nervous.

"really?"

Jae Hwan's father chimed in, as if interested in the topic they were talking about.

"Ne, at a cafe near campus. I only work 5 days a week."

"You work hard apparently, that stupid kid has to learn a lot from you."

The old man looked at Jae Hwan like he was signaling that he meant his son.

"You don't have to look at me!"

Jae Hwan makes an annoyed expression - make the room instantly boisterous by the laughter of everyone including Ara.

"What do your parents do?"

Ara was speechless she just didn't want to talk about it even though one day the question about her family would definitely be a discussion, and she couldn't keep avoiding it.

"Dad worked at a state-owned oil and gas company as General Manager."

"Jinjja (really)?"

Even Jae Hwan himself does not know, this is the first time Ara told a story and made him surprised. The cup that almost stuck to his lips then as if he rejected and put back hear Ara's story.

"Eung, he'll be 56 soon and that'll make him an unemployed man soon."

Ara's answer made everyone laugh lightly, even Ara though with a little awkwardness.

"While his mother had a restaurant in Bandung, the city where I lived,"

"They didn't live together because my father was out of town more often, my sister who always accompanied my mother."

Ara continued, he did not lie just that his parents were separated even though they were still a legitimate couple. I don't want to open myself too deeply.

the atmosphere was then silent for a moment until Jae Hwan's mother decided to talk back, instead,

"Drink your tea, kid, enjoy it while it's warm!"

His words were so soft that Ara was touched, the girl stared at the beautiful face of the woman before her for a while as if to say thank you.
