The Fool's

The Fool's
Do I Lose Her? Obviously Not!

Ara could not sleep, she just rolled on her little bed then scrambled the blanket there with her legs struggling indistinctly. He was forced to get up from there and leave again after carrying his bag.

"Miss Ara is outside. It's waiting for you!"

ahjumma said after knocking on the door of her room then entered after getting a reply from Jae Hwan

Jae Hwan who was playing his phone was surprised by what the middle-aged woman said, he looked panicked and asked the woman to hide

"Aisshhh. I said you're not home!"

Said Jae Hwan frantically who instead got a funny look from his ahjumma.

"but I've met aggashi"

The answer made Jae Hwan even more panicked and ruffled his hair. He had no choice but to meet the girl.

The girl who now folds her hands on her chest, and looks at Jae Hwan who came out of her room with a murderous gaze that is able to make a Kim Jae Hwan look down.

The man walked toward Ara hesitantly, as he seemed to be swallowed round if too close.

"Geurae (well), where's the kitchen? I'll make porridge for you."

The girl's answer made Jae Hwan a little relieved, he raised his head and stared with a smile.

Ara decided not to nag the man, because it cannot be denied he also caused Jae Hwan to be treated.

The man then drove Ara to the kitchen which was even as large as Ara's room, it was no wonder this was how the life of the rich man.

Jae Hwan notices Ara who is busy in the kitchen from a chair he used to sit down to enjoy coffee, the girl looked skilled at using a knife she was not even afraid of the explosion from the boiling porridge.

It only took less than half an hour until a bowl of porridge was ready in front of Jae Hwan, he stared at the bowl because it looked nothing like the porridge he used to eat.

"I'm sure you'll love the taste!"

Ara said confidently

Jae Hwan took his spoon and put in a big mouthful of porridge with a chicken swallow on it, his eyes wide open but his mouth kept chewing. He then took one more mouthful with chives that became the topping makes the color of the food so attractive.

"Daebakk."

That was all he could say made Ara smile happily.

They then sit on the sofa next to Jae Hwan's bedroom door, Ara enjoying the americano made by the man while staring out the big window there featuring the bustling streets of the capital. He sipped his coffee slowly enjoying the bitter sensation that was stuck on his tongue.

"Ara-ya Gomawo!"

Jae Hwan sat next to the girl, and stared in the same direction as he also liked the view outside.

"I'm also responsible for making you sick. Mian!"

Ara looked at Jae Hwan who was now also looking at her.

"Your mother looks so good, you don't want to stay with her?"

Ara started the conversation after taking a sip back on her coffee.

"There are no bad parents, right?"

Jae Hwan smiled faintly before continuing his words

"But they set everything up for me, life like that looks boring. You can call me running away from home."

"Snow? with all these facilities?"

Ara smiled mockingly but Jae Hwan also smiled.

"they certainly won't let me be completely free."

"Then you, why did you choose to leave your family there?"

And that question made Ara tell me things she didn't tell anyone else there. Also makes Jae Hwan closer to her.

...****************...

The two men were still sitting there, telling each other about themselves. Even Ara, whether because of the atmosphere or indeed Jae Hwan is a good listener, he tells everything. Not a special story because his life is ordinary. But to the man, it sounded so nice to know so many things about Ara.

said Ara at the end of the story, it looks like something light because the girl told it while smiling even though Jae Hwan could see how awkward the girl was.

"that's why you've scored zero in your tests? as a protest?"

Jae Hwan recalls the part where Ara told him that he scored zero in the semester test, the girl smiled in response.

"the child of a divorce victim usually lives with trauma,"

"and yahh, let's just say I'm running away too."

Ara smiled bitterly, Jae Hwan could feel the bitterness there. The girl then looked at her empty cup desperately as if wanting to be replenished even when Jae Hwan offered to refuse.

"and you, I was just wondering if labelling a girlfriend to me was part of your game?"

Ara asked, she chose to shift the subject because she began to show her weakness in front of the man, meaning that she allowed herself to be in danger.

"i dare to make sure it isn't,"

Jae Hwan took a breath before continuing

"must admit everything about you is challenging me, but seeing you that day makes me want to protect you completely."

"i won't take this as Mr. Kim's plea."

Ara snorted laughing

"i also have no intention of seducing you Miss Tiara."

Jae Hwan said seriously, making Ara's laughter also stop.

"geurae (alright), let's see how long you'll last with me."

Ara then walks into the kitchen, puts her cup in the sink and leaves Jae Hwan on the sofa. The girl found potato chips there shuffling the wrapper as if gesturing to the man in front of the glass to allow him to eat it.

Jae Hwan looked up and just smiled, which to Ara looked like approval.

He sat back on the sofa with both hands full of new cups and snacks, sure to look out there so pleasant, Namsan tower in front of him as he could reach, he said, the Han River was also clearly visible in a smaller version but he could see the place was crowded.

Ara stuffed the three big pieces of chips into her mouth, making Jae Hwan look at her in amazement while the girl didn't care. He nodded but Ara smiled.

The girl feeds Jae Hwan a small piece of chips by force and is given an annoyed look because the part even just passes in the mouth, unlike Ara's mouth that makes the girl's mouth full.

Ara licks her fingers when the chips run out quickly, causing Jae Hwan to gulp imagining what he can do with his mouth and tongue. Goddamn bum.

"You have 3 servants but this place feels so quiet."

Said the girl after she finished with a lick of her finger.

"two of my servants only come three times a week to clean up this place, while the ahjumma you met. eumm let's say he just accompanied me,"

Jae Hwan drinks the water that Ara brought from the same glass and he doesn't mind. While Ara also only considers food sharing activities are common with friends.

"he cooks sometimes or listens to me tell stories."

"you? telling stories?"

Ara's eyes opened wide he was amazed by the confession of the man before him.

"wae's? you need someone to share anything, and that ahjumma is a good listener."

"of course, it's just that you're a man surrounded by friends. Isn't making a middle-aged woman a storytelling friend funny?"

Ara laughed mockingly.

"you call people who use me as friends, it sounds ridiculous, right?"

"to be honest your neighborhood looks fake."

Ara admitted, then they fell silent to look at each other who started first, but Ara felt comfortable looking at the eyes of the man.

"you know, I didn't expect you to be either. Cause I don't think I'm gonna let you go!"
