Chapter 14: Lantern Release

"I'm not in the mood to have dinner here anymore. Let's go, Lily, the show's about to start sooner until it's better. Come on." Princess Ellie said as she held Lily's hand out of the Anatolia Cafe and headed towards Worthington Lake.

"All right, Princess." Said Lily while walking out after putting down the money to pay for the meal they had ordered.

"Ivy, wasn't that Ellie?" Princess Lea asked after she saw her cousin leave in a hurry.

"Yes, that's right, Princess." Said Ivy who was watching Princess Ellie from a distance.

"What did Ellie come here for? Doesn't he like festivals like this? Then it looks like Ellie came with someone could it be her friend?" Princess Lea asked softly.

"Lea, what are you talking about with Ivy? Why whisper like that?" Luca asked who felt strange about Princess Lea's behavior.

"Ah, ti-nothing, Luca." Said Princess Lea who felt worried about approaching her later.

"Are you sure?" Luca asked to make sure once again.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Let's finish the meal soon enough the show's about to start." Princess Lea said to her four friends.

"Come fast too." Sena, Alice and Eugeo said together.

"Ah, finally. Let's go down the road." Said Princess Lea as she moved from her seat.

"Announcement, announcement, for all visitors at the Lantern Festival today, because the time has shown at 22:00 then the event will begin."

"For distinguished guests, His Majesty the Emperor and Princess Ellie please begin the event by releasing the original lanterns belonging to the Kingdom of Harvest and then followed by Miss Paddington, Miss Everest, Miss Lawson Bates, Miss Lawson Bates, Grand Duchess Yuuki, Young Duke Verita, Marquess Meligina, Marquess Glazer, and lastly Baroness Monique by releasing the original lanterns belonging to their respective families."

"Alright, since the honored guests have already released their respective lanterns, let's start the show at the last count please all of you release the lanterns."

"1.. 2.. 3. Take off the lantern." Shouted the host to the visitors of the festival while releasing the lanterns he held.

"Hey look at that! The lanterns have been removed, let's also release our lanterns." Said Princess Lea while holding her lantern that was in love with fire in it.

"Come, 1... 2... release!" Shouted The six of them while releasing their respective lanterns.

"Look! My lanterns are the highest." Shouted Sena while pointing at the lanterns that had been given various kinds of images by her.

"No! I have the highest." Alice shouted as she pointed at the lantern shaped like that star.

"No! I have a higher one." Shouted Eugeo who did not want to lose to his sister and friend.

"Gwfft." Princess Lea laughed while looking at her childish friends.

"Sir, Sena, Lea, Eugeo, Ivy, you look there! Isn't that a lantern with a Royal emblem? Why is the lantern with the Royal emblem here?" Luca asked who was surprised to see 2 lanterns with pictures of the Harvest Kingdom in front of him.

"That's not all, look over there! It's the Schubert family crest. And see there's the Everest family crest, Paddington, Yuuki, Monique, Verita, Glazer, there's even a lantern with the Meligina family crest as well." Shouted Sena while pointing at all the lanterns with familiar family emblems.

"I don't know about it either, Alice." Said Princess Lea while scratching her head.

"Daughter, please look over there for a moment isn't that Your Majesty and Princess Ellie." Ivy said while pointing at 2 people he knew.

"It's Papa and Ellie, but why are they here? How about we say what they are." Invite Princess Lea to her friends to greet Her Majesty the King, Vettel and Princess Ellie, the younger cousin of Princess Lea.

Not far from where Princess Lea and her friends stood....

"Uncle, where are we going after this?" Princess Ellie asked her uncle.

"Hm... How about we go for a walk while we talk about something." Said His Majesty the King to his nephew.

"Mhm.. That's a good idea, uncle. How about we talk there." Said Princess Ellie while pointing at the seat near the lake.

"All right then." Said His Majesty the King as he walked to the seat that was near the lake.

"Greet His Imperial Majesty, The Imperial Sun and Princess Ellie, The Empire's Second Star." Said the Young Duke Verita, Grand Duchess Yuuki, Miss Everest, Miss Paddington, Miss Schubert, Marquess Meligina, Marquess Glazer, and Baroness Monique in unison greeting His Majesty the Emperor and Princess Ellie.

"Greetings to all of you." Said His Majesty the Emperor replying to their greetings.

"Sorry Your Majesty if I'm a little presumptuous, you and Princess Ellie want to go where?" Grand Duchess Yuuki asked Her Imperial Majesty and Princess Ellie.

"Your Majesty would like to discuss something with me, Grand Duchess Yuuki." Princess Ellie explained.

"Sorry, Your Majesty, have you decided who will be your successor?" Marquess Glazer asked starting the matter.

His Imperial Majesty, Princess Ellie and they were all instantly stunned after hearing what had just come out of the mouth of that Marquess Glazer. So did Princess Lea, Ivy, Luca, Sena, Eugeo, and Alice who stood not far from Her Majesty the Emperor and Princess Ellie were also stunned.

"What's? Am I wrong? Isn't His Majesty supposed to determine who will be your successor later."

"You have dethroned Princess Quinella from her position, which should be her next Emperor after the late His Majesty Kasiar previously died due to his illness of unknown cause, but you just dropped it off just like that." Marquess Glazer said.

"Marquess Glazer watch your words!! What nonsense are you saying in front of His Majesty!!" Snapped Princess Ellie who had been holding back her anger.

"I'm just telling you the truth, Princess, you don't have to be surprised like that. Or maybe you don't know the truth?" The Marquess Glazer's words further provoked the emotions of those around him.

"Plack!!"

The sound of a very loud slap was floated by Princess Lea who heard it from a distance not so far from them that she ran towards His Majesty the King, Princess Ellie and the others, the slap struck the handsome face of the Marquess Glazer and left a very severe mark on her face.

"So what you say! If I hear something similar, I won't be disinclined by you, Marquess!" Princess Lea gave the first warning to Marquess Glazer who was a friend of Princess Ellie.

"Plac!!!"

A slap was heard again and hit the left face of the Marquess Glazer.

"Mr Princess?" Marquess Glazer asked the friend while holding her left face

"And that's for mom! You deserve it, Malcolm!" Princess Ellie said firmly in an angry tone while holding her left hand that had slapped the face of the Marquess Glazer.
