The Feel's

The Feel's
hope in the dark. Part 3

"Because if the results of the examination show you need surgery, you may have to do surgery many times and the recovery process is quite long," continued the doctor straightforwardly.

“How many times the operation, I am ready,” Bagas replied firmly as if not afraid at all.

The doctor was surprised and laughed softly. Just this time he found a patient as brave and as loud as Bagas. “You are really great. But you should be able to get sick because your body will be in pain after surgery." The doctor gave a serayamenata warning in Bagas' eyes.

“Not a big problem. I've been friends with pain" Bagas flat-headed. Yes, almost every day Bagas' body feels like it is being torn from the inside, as if there are scissors capable of tearing every inch of his flesh. The whole body will feel pain when the disease relapses. Sometimes Bagas felt that it was better for his life to be taken away than to be in constant pain and to trouble others.

"Hahaha .. shall we see later, well? If you have surgery, I will schedule the operation. Patient ones, huh?" said the doctor while rubbing Bagas' shoulder.

“Then thank you very much,Doctor,” said Mrs Suyatmi softly. The grizzled woman was grateful to know that Bagas had hope of recovery.

“Iya, equally,Mrs Suyatmi,” reply doctor.

“Until we meet again, Doc,” said goodbye Suyatmi stood up then bowed ninety degrees as farewell. “Iya,Mrs, until we meet again,” replied the doctor with a smile.

When he was outside, Suyatmi and Bagas were greeted by Haris, Suyatmi's personal assistant. Haris bowed a little and said, "Mrs just go home. Let me take care of the rest."

"Thank you" said Suyatmi, smiling and holding Bagas to the parking lot, while Haris went straight to the cashier to pay the bill.

In the car, no one spoke. Bagas watched the street from behind his glasses while Suyatmi watched Bagas. The little boy's plain bead seemed to glow after hearing the doctor's remark.

Suyatmi was somewhat relieved to see the change in the look of Bagas' face. Even so, Suyatmi was worried that Bagas was actually afraid of having surgery just did not dare to say it.

"Bagas," call Suyatmi. "If one day you have surgery, are you ready?" ask Madam Suyatmi. He only wanted his adopted grandson to perform the operation not on compulsion, but on his own accord.

"Yes, Madam, I am ready if I have surgery later" Bagas replied without any hesitation.

Suyatmi smiled. Bagas is a strong boy. The suffering of life for many years Bagas natural has made children his age not afraid of anything, inner mistress suyatmi while looking at Bagas.

“Oh yes, do you want to buy something?” ask Ms. Suyatmi.

“No, Madam, thank you very much. Being taken to the hospital by Madam alone has made me happy. Because maybe I can finally recover,” replied Bagas.

A few weeks later all the checks were passed. From blood tests, MRIs, to x-rays. The results showed Bagas suffered from bone TB, scoliosis, and joint damage[1]. Plus his right thigh was damaged and out of the joint.

Hearing all the doctor's explanations, her shoulder Suyatmi slumped. Malang nianBagas had to go through a heavy and risky thing to heal.

Bagas without hesitation immediately accepted it. “Because that's the only option there is, I'm ready, Doc. Well, even if the hope of success is small. After all, despite being inoperated, my body was in a lot of pain,” Bagas replied.

“I understand how you feel, son. You're great at surviving and being this brave,” Doctor, stroking Bagas' hair.

A few weeks later, the day of Bagas' first surgery arrived. Before spinal surgery, Bagas performed joint replacement surgery first. During the surgery, Mrs Suyatmi waited anxiously in the waiting room. The operation took up to ten hours. When the doctor just came out of the operating room, Mrs Suyatmi immediately approached the doctor.

“How is the operation, Doc?” madam Suyatmi asked in agitation.

“Alhamdulillah, the operation is going well,” reply doctor with a smile.

Madam Suyatmi smiled with relief and accompanied Bagas who was still unconscious. Not long after, came the only sister of Mrs Suyatmi named Andy.

He came with his wife and daughters, Tamara and Harti, and invited his son-in-law, BudiHarti. Harti and Budi brought their children, Bima and Andin. “Assalamualaikum, Brother,” greet Andy's family in unison.

“Waalaikumsalam, please come in,” said Mrs Suyatmi.

“Thank you,” said Mr. Andy then sat on one of the sofas.

“Who is he, Grandma?” bima asked, Andy's first granddaughter when she saw Bagas who was lying weakly on the bed.

“She is your cousin's sister,” replied Mrs Suyatmi.

Both of Bima's eyebrows swooped sharply hearing the word ‘cousin’. “Not Brother Cousin is dead?” asked Bima innocently.

Hearing that, Bima's father immediately looked at Bima with a serious look. “Bima, you can't talk like that,” Budi scolds.

“It's okay. He is still a child, so he does not understand,” said Mrs Suyatmi.
