Giving Each Other Surprises

Beni awaits the arrival of Madam Suzan with an uncomfortable feeling. He harbored anger from the time he exited Elz's practice room. There was enough evidence that Beni had obtained, to make his wife admit her wrongdoing. And of course the selfish woman must be willing to apologize, to him and to Irma.

However, until midnight, his wife did not reveal her nose. Madam Suzan instead disappeared without news from since noon–from since Beni finished delivering Irma home. The last information that Beni knows, Madam Suzan is busy, and the new event will be completed in the afternoon.

After night, I've been out of my mind for a few times Beni called his wife's phone. Surprised because there is no connecting tone at all. Madam Suzan's phone has been inactive until now.

Beni slammed her phone into bed– felt heartache from being played. He does not like to be avoided when there is something to talk about. Do women always underestimate important things like the phone that must always be active when away from a partner?

Really, he wanted to end his wife's madness and make the woman admit all her faults right now. Thus, perhaps Beni can forgive and they can continue the household ark that began to lose faith.

Honestly, Beni's sane brain is in deep anxiety. He was emotional because he thought it would not be easy to divorce Madam Suzan, then returned to Irma without feeling any guilt.

He still has a heart. It feels unethical if marriage becomes a toy for her, Irma and Madam Suzan. Moreover, the age of his marriage with the new Madam during the harvest kangkung–forty days.

Beni laid her body on the mattress, staring at the ceiling of the room with a look. Realizing her life is all very happy with Irma and the children are taken away by the presence of Madam Suzan.

Beni rubbed his face roughly, growling furiously at the empty space. "Where are you, Suzan?"

The sound of the phone ringing that awaited was finally heard, Beni swiftly grabbed his phone. Relieved because finally Madam Suzan contacted.

But again the relief that Beni just felt had to be taken away in seconds. The caller was from the hospital, reporting that his wife was in an accident and was in treatment. The hospital requested that he immediately come to take care of the administration on behalf of Madam Suzan.

Beni was struggling to prepare all the needs of Madam Suzan, she immediately rushed to the hospital which was quite far from her hometown. Apparently the accident occurred during the day, in the range of time Beni drove Irma to the millennial shaman. It's only right if his wife's phone can't be reached until night.

Three hours later, Beni walked down the hospital hallway in silence. It is still not dawn, so the activities inside the hospital are still quite quiet.

The first thing Beni saw in the treatment room was his wife lying down. Madam Suzan's right hand and legs are wrapped in a bandage like a mummy. Her hair was bald with a few stitches on the head of the right section of– which was also covered in bandages.

It was the nurse who informed all of Madam Suzan's condition when Beni had just arrived. He completes the administration the nurse requested before asking where his wife was being treated.

In the patient's room, with Suzan's madam situation so severe, somehow Beni did not feel excessive empathy. He looked at his wife with a tired and less caring expression. Beni didn't even come and touch Madam Suzan– to wake her up and tell her about her arrival.

Beni actually opened the nightstand next to the patient's gurney, looking for an expensive black handbag that was always carried everywhere by his wife. Beni exited the room, sitting on the bench waiting in front of the room. He hastily unpacked Madam Suzan's bag, took out all the contents to find a black cloth bag that seemed to contain a pile of cards.

Beni clasped the cloth once more, making sure from the outside before finally opening it. The smell of incense wafted when Beni took out the contents of the cloth bag. The smell was exactly the same as the incense he found in the salon room.

“Czech card! What is this card that was meant by the shaman? Fiuhhh .. the aroma is truly mystical,” murmured Beni while bringing the check card closer to the nose– breathed the smell.

Deftly, Beni stuffed the card into the cloth bag again and stored it into the pants pocket. He re-cleansed his wife's bag and hurriedly entered the room to put it in the nightstand as before.

Beni looked at his wife's face, then monologued, “It looks like Suzan is still under dope after a broken bone surgery, so even if I wake up it will also be difficult. After all, if he wakes up, he must be complaining about his legs, hands and head being seriously injured, so let me rest!"

Beni grabbed a chair sitting beside the bed, leaned back and tried to rest for a while while waiting for his wife to wake up. He was also tired and sleepy.

Beni stammered, not realizing that the break had been several hours. “Eh, i-iya please, Doc!”

The sun had risen, in a sleepy state Beni listened to the explanation of the doctor who came to perform routine checks of patients.

He yawned, rubbed his eyes and went to the bathroom to clean himself after the doctor left and the nurse changed his wife's infusion. Beni also went to the hospital cafe to buy coffee and breakfast.

At the cafe, Beni calls Irma and asks to be connected to Elz to confirm his findings. The young shaman who received several photos of the card sent by Beni stated that it was a cheki card that had been ritualized.

Elz suggested to immediately burn the card if it is not needed– so that the effect is also quickly lost.

Returning from the cafe, Beni found his wife had woken up– while eating assisted by the guard sisters. Beni took over the job and thanked me.

“Yes, this was just me buying coffee for a while! Sorry to bother!”

Madam Suzan looked at Beni with a face of compassion, “Mas Beni come what time?”

“Body!” answer beni briefly, while feeding his wife lazily.

“Kok I wasn't built!”

“You're so good, I don't have the heart!”

“Maybe dope effect!” After a few spoons, Madam Suzan shook her head, pushing Beni's hand to stop bribing her. “I'm full!”

Beni did not force, he spontaneously helped Madam Suzan drink, then silent like a statue. Reluctant to start the conversation even though he actually wanted to curse his wife all out.

“Kok diem anyway, Mas? Are you angry with me?”

“Why should I be angry?” asked Beni coldly.

“My phone is dead! I was busy yesterday and purposely wanted to make a surprise, let me miss too .. So I made it hard for you to contact me! Sorry yes, Honey!”

Beni exhales in frustration, “You are indeed very surprising!”

“You're surprised when the hospital phone calls me in an accident?”

“I was surprised because it turns out you lied a lot during this time! You tricked me ..”

Suzan's madam expression instantly changed, “Lying? Cheating?”

“Actually you to Banyuwangi in what order?”

Beni clucked furiously, “Moreover?”

Beni then reached into his pocket, showing a black cloth package to the face of Madam Suzan. “Then what is the function of the check card in this bag?”

Madam Suzan widened her eyes, her voice rising hysterically realizing that the thing that was always in her care was in Beni's hands. “Mas! Where did you get that?”

“What does Irma say if you are a female lintriker?”
