The Enchantment of Madam

The Enchantment of Madam
An offer for me

"Sit down!" said the middle-aged woman.

I dragged the chair, then sat down.

It is Sintia––my-in-law. I don't know if he's going to tell me anything because his face looks serious. However, before opening on the core matter, he asked me to eat dishes that turned out to have been ordered and served at the table.

The food looked good and we ate together without a word.

"I want you to give us a grandchild" said Mrs Sintia, who coughed.

'Ohuk!'

I reached for the mineral water in the glass and then I drank it slowly to let down the pain in the throat then stood still for a moment and the silence at this moment covered both of us.

"But our marriage––" I said stopped when a blank check sheet was proffered on the table to me by Mrs Sintia.

"There is a blank check, you are free to fill whatever you want as long as you can give the descendants of Kia, as the successor of the Albern family," said Mrs Sintia as if not giving me the opportunity to refute.

I smile. Apparently besides me being looked down upon by Mr. Bobby, I was also looked at by Mrs Sintia because I was poor in their eyes. Yes, I'm poor. The man who is only a twenty-one-year-old D3 graduate who is just lucky enough to be married to the son of the owner of the company.

"Sorry, Madam. I just don't want to force Miss Duck, uh, I mean Non Kia."

Madam Sintia smiled sarcastically.

"One day you will accept my offer. Take it, and follow my wish!"

"Did the Madam bring a ballpoint? I want to write a nominal here."

The sarcastic smile came back before me. Then Madam Sintia grabbed something in her bag that turned out to be a ballpoint with a gold-colored casing.

Again, I had to lower my ego in front of rich people who always looked at mediocre people like me would obey anything for money.

"It!" I handed over the check paper I had filled in to Mrs Sintia.

Madam Sintia smiled broadly as she grabbed the piece of check I wrote with the numbers; 9,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 and immediately Madam Sintia's pair of eyes rounded then turned the look on me.

"Nominal what, this?" asked Madam Sintia as if she did not like it.

I smile.

"That's what I need, ma'am. Too much, right? But I can still find it by working. I'm still young, Madam. Excuse me!" I got up from my seat to leave the mother-in-law who looked upset.

"The lady will get a granddaughter from me when your daughter really falls in love with me" I said slowly then stepped away.

**

It was still raining pretty hard and I forced my way home. Fortunately, I followed what Gothic said.

The car had been parked in the yard of the house of the Gothic Mother who used to live with her grandmother. I ran, but my body was still covered.

"Mas Levine?" Someone greeted me with a worried look when he saw me at the door.

"Look, Mom!" he continued and opened the door wide.

I walked into the room to shower immediately and of course changed my clothes with long-sleeved shirts as well as trousers as well. The body felt cold and finally melted hit even though it was still daytime. Maybe because the rain hit and made the weather turn so cold.

"Mas Levine!" Someone outside called me.

I opened the door while occasionally taking a breath to reduce the runnyness that felt constantly coming out.

"I'll be down."

"All right, excuse me!" said Alda who then went down the stairs because my room and Mbak Gothic are both on the second floor next to each other.

I closed the room, but it seemed like the Gothic Sister's room was quiet as I passed through it.

The rain was quite heavy, it even felt increasingly heavy as the sky blackened. I sat alone in the dining room while sipping chocolate milk served by Alda.

"Thank you, huh?" I said as Alda was about to pass me.

Alda smiled sweetly.

"Sama-sama," he replied with such gentle intonation.

"Where are the Gothic masters going?" my many.

"Exit, Mas. He said he wanted to see a client outside. Earlier, Mbak Kia departed the same driver not far from Mas Levine left," Alda explained in detail.

I nodded and still sipped enough chocolate milk to make the body feel warm.

Walking up the stairs to get back to the room and I chose to get into a thick blanket while the rain was still raining. My eyes are always fixed on every clock that rotates repeatedly until finally it is afternoon.

Why hasn't Gothic come home yet?

Back I felt apprehension whack when Mbak Gothic was away from me. I tried calling her phone, but she wasn't active. There seems to be a signal disturbance because the rain is still falling rapidly.

Not wanting bad events to happen to him, I took the initiative to look for him even though I did not know where to look? However, at a minimum I left the house and tried to find my wife's whereabouts while constantly contacting her.

"Where's Mas Levine going?" Alda screamed inside the house when I was on the outside porch.

"Find the Gothic Mpa!" I answered without listening to what he said in the next conversation.

Getting into the car and driving it at high speed even though my view was a little disturbed by the water constantly coming down soaking the windshield and blurring the view.

Cars with 46 TAN B leter are now parked on the side of the road. I'm a little confused because it's a Gothic car. Finally I decided to go down while wearing an umbrella that was available in the car.

"Sir? Sir?!" sir?!" I called while banging on the car glass. Not long ago the glass finally opened and as I thought. Inside it is a Gothic driver.

"Mas Levine?" A pair of Gothic Mbak driver's eyes are rounded.

"Where are the Gothic masters going?" I asked who was even more worried.

"Sorry, Mas. Kia's sister is in the Cafeteria where she used to meet her clients. I was told to pick up something at the boutique, but instead the car broke down and my phone died" explained the Gothic Mbak driver.

"Yes, I picked up Kia Ma'am first, sir. All of you will call the workshop to come here to fix the car," I said while sending a short message to the workshop.

"Good, Mas. Thank you" he said, then got back in the car. I went straight to the cafeteria.

The journey was quiet so I glided at high speed. It only took me about fifteen minutes to finally reach Cafeteria.

Back to using an umbrella with a runny that is getting worse at this time. Though I was wearing pants and long-sleeved shirts, but the cold today seemed to penetrate the clothes I was wearing even though it was quite thick.

There you can see the Gothic mama fiddling with the cell phone. It seems he is trying to contact someone he can ask for help. I just stare from a place far enough away. The expression on the face of the Gothic Mbak instead looks even more funny when constantly copying his phone. At the same time, I was surprised when I heard the phone ring so I decided to reach into the phone and see the message notification from the selected object that I was holding.

[Lele, where are you?] Fill in a short message from Gothic ma'am that makes me smile.
