Volume 1: Chapter 1

   The first thing he felt was a shock caused by his sister, who tried to wake him up,and see the figure of his little sister who has a short posture and has shoulder-length hair and also a good morning smile that makes it seem as if all the brothers in the world will be willing to die to protect the smile.

“Kakak let's wake up, later we can be late to the forest to cut wood”.

Ryoichi got up and immediately rushed to wash his face and change his clothes and prepared to go to the forest with his little sister to cut down wood and collect fruits to sell to the center of the province a modest house located in a forest-fringed village in the province's territory

East [Empire],and only living alone with his sister because his parents have died due to an incident 8 years ago.Since then all that is in Ryoichi's mind is how to make his sister happy and can live happily without problems.

The scorching sunlight slips through the cracks of the trees in the forest, where

Ryoichi sits down to rest after cutting down wood.He looks dreamy, thinking of the incident 8 years ago.

“No, I won't go without mom and dad!”Shouts the 7 year old boy

next to her is her 4-year-old sister.

“You must leave now, the monsters will be here any minute, don't think father and mother are here!”.Shouted a middle-aged man holding a gun in his hand.

“That's right son, don't think mom and dad . You should be able to live independently and protect your sister.”Said a woman with a subtle word but save a lot of pain in it.

Ryoichi who was pensive was shocked and his daydream was broken.

“Ah, sorry Asuka.Kakak just daydreamed briefly”.

Ryoichi got up from his seat and brought the pile of wood he had cut down , and accompanied by his sister he also plans to leave the forest to go to the center of the province to sell the wood.But on the way Ryoichi felt there was a strange , the day that was hot turned into a dark day and the wind that hit it became firmer.Seeing such conditions, the, Ryouichi also cancels his intention to go to the center of the province and rushes back to the village.According to him outside the forest, Ryoichi realizes that the village which is usually crowded and there are gatekeepers, becomes empty.When he enters the village, he , he was struck by the stinging smell of blood.

“Kakak,,, what happened ??Why does the smell of blood smell like this ? Asuka was not happy with this smell”

“Likes, you immediately hide now.Contestable Brother Feelings”Kyoichi said while stroking Asuka's head

“Good sister,grandfather nnti pick up Asuka yah”

Immediately Asuka went into hiding, and Ryoichi began to slowly walk towards the middle of the village.And he was shocked by mixed feelings of disgust, he saw pieces of head, hands, and,and also the internal organs scattered everywhere.And he was more surprised when he saw a black shadow was sitting and a voice sounded

meat meat snacking .

“Monster??!...”Ryouichi said in his heart.

“There is no way a monster can infiltrate here, has not the western region been cleared by the warrior [The Saviour] ???”

Ryouichi retreated slowly, but did not realize he stepped on a broken glass, and produced a sound that caught the demon's attention

“Oh….apparently there is food left there”The shadow figure also stands and Ryouichi can see the original figure.The monster with a terrible face that wears gold armor filled with blood.The monster even pulled his sword and intended to cut down Ryouichi, Ryouichi quickly dodged the attack .

“Heh...Interesting there is a human who can avoid my attack other than the damn soldiers”.

The only weapon Ryouichi holds is the dagger he usually carries when

out into the woods.

“How can monsters get into this [Empire] protection area ?!!”

Shouted Ryouichi who was scared half-dead can no longer think clearly while brandishing his dagger.However, what power the figure was to throw Ryouichi's body towards the wall of the house.As a result Ryouichi was lying helpless.

“Monster ??hahahahaha...bocah.... You don't even know the difference between monsters and demons ??Hear me as an earth rank demon.”Said the demon while laughing

“Demon??is it different from monster ??”

Ryouichipun could only wait for his death.The only thing he remembered was his sister's sweet smile and her spoiled behavior towards him.

“Sorry Asuka, I can't protect you anymore.”

That's how Ryouichi said, realizing that his life was coming to an end.The demon also floated his sword towards Ryouichi.

“Kakak!!!! beware”

Ryouichi's originally blurred vision slowly returned to light. And he was shocked when he saw Asuka was severely injured due to the slash of the demon sword .

“Asuka !!!!.... no... no.... this cannot happen”

Ryouichi said with tears.

“hehe...sister don't cry ,,, Asuka doesn't like to see brother cry”Said Asuka with a mouth full of blood.

“No….Asuka, you will not die. We will be together, we will eat the soup you made, we will walk together in the forest again,brother promised not to wake up again.So please don't go!”

Asuka said that with tears in her eyes.

Asuka smiles one last time and eventually dies in Ryouichi's arms.

asuka's departure…..

Ryouichi cried out with all the despair he had.

The demon's laughter sounded quite clear and loud.Ryouichi who was aware of the existence of the demon immediately rose and attacked the demon with a great killing appetite

“DEMON ******** !!!!!.......even if I die today ... I will drag you to hell !!!!!”

Shouted Ryouichi while trying to stab the demon , but in vain.The power of a rampaging boy is no match for the strength of an Earth-level Demon.Ryouichi was knocked back by the demon very easily.

Ryouichi was lying covered in blood, his hands and feet were broken, as well as his ribs were cracked in

some parts.

“Asuka...sorry, even your brother is very weak...

Ryouichi's gaze was increasingly blackened, and when it almost lost consciousness

Instantly the demon was surrounded by a company of soldiers [The Saviour].And a warrior appears who appears to have a higher rank and looks towards Ryouichi.

The demon tried to slash the soldier

“[Byakkomaru]....wake up and help me kill this demon”.

Instantly the Soldier slashed the hand of the demon that was about to attack him

“No!!!....how is it possible..[Cursed Weapon]........are you from Dark Moon ????”

The demon fell down and looked to scream in pain

“Hoho..even a demon who has high self-esteem like you can whine in such pain

this is ??”

“Please forgive me, I promise I will not return to this region again”

“Mean on the victims you have killed !!!!”

And that last slash made the demon turn to ashes and finally

the demon is dead.

“Colonel,, everything in this village is dead , only the child was left who clasped the hand of a woman”

“hmmm...take the child and the corpse of the woman.maybe it is someone precious to her , even she is willing to fight desperately to avenge her”.

“Good Colonel!!!”

Simultaneously the soldiers left the village after burying the dead villagers and taking the child back to the provincial [The Saviour] headquarters.
