Chapter 12

Azura asks Ravendra for permission to go to the room to get ready.

"Honey," said Azura softly, smiling at Ravendra. "May I go to the room for a while to get ready?"

Ravendra replied with a warm smile. "Of course, hon. Take the time you need."

Azura felt relief as well as nervousness. This time she wanted to give her best appearance to her husband. He nodded, thanked her, and walked towards the room with a thumping heart.

Azura sat for a moment on the bedside, feeling a mixture of feelings within her. She was nervous, happy, and also a little scared. Even though she and Ravendra have been married, every moment with her still has a special meaning. Azura wants to make this night special and meaningful.

He walked into the bathroom and opened the door. He took off one by one the clothes attached to him and prepared to take a shower.

The bathroom exudes warmth and comfort that is so soothing. The ceiling of the bathroom is decorated by a chandelier that provides a soft light, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The walls are decorated with neutral colored tiles that give the impression of elegance.

In the middle of the bathroom, there is a large bathtub that invites to soak. This bathtub is surrounded by a beautiful and comfortable marble layer on the footrest. In the corner of the bathroom, there is a shower with transparent glass panels that separate the wet and dry areas.

The white towel hangers hang neatly near the bathtub, ready for use after bathing. Wooden shelves are placed around the bathroom, storing various skin and body care products. A large mirror is mounted on the wall, reflecting a roomy bathroom.

Azura carefully decided to turn on the warm water faucet inside the bathtub, adding a few drops of aromatherapy oil to provide a more relaxing sensation. This bathroom is not only a place to clean yourself, but also a place to take care of yourself and contemplate in a comforting calm.

Azura did not linger enjoying the moment of bathing as usual because she was afraid Ravendra waited too long. She immediately finished her bath and started thinking about finding a good outfit. She wanted to give the best appearance to her husband.

Azura rushed out of the bathtub, the warm water still continuing to flow around her. He took out a white towel hanging on the hanger and gently wiped the water from his body. Drop by drop the water absorbed into the cloth, and he felt the freshness after his short bath.

With quick steps, Azura walked towards the wardrobe. Open closet doors reveal a variety of neatly lined fashion options. He pondered for a moment, choosing clothes that fit his mood. Finally, she chose a white dress with an elegant and feminine cut. The dress was able to show her elegance as well as beauty.

While wearing that white dress, Azura felt a tremor between nervousness and enthusiasm in her heart. He wants to give his best performance to Ravendra, perhaps as an expression of his sincere love. After confirming her appearance, she carefully tidied her hair and applied a little light makeup.

As Azura opened the safe to pick up the set of jewelry she was about to wear, her eyes accidentally fell on a piece of paper folded inside. A marriage contract. His heart rippled as he realized that it was a list that set what Ravendra should and should not do against him. This was the result of hard times when he hated his match with Ravendra so much.

As he read the contents of the contract, the memories he once had in his heart began to unfold. A list of prohibitions that contained things that had been agreed upon by him and Ravendra not to do with each other. Azura felt that sentiment was coming back to her, like a ghost from the past that did not end.

Azura recalled how bitter she felt while writing this list with Ravendra. At that moment, she felt that her matchmaking was a prison with no exit, and she was looking for a way to protect herself. The list contained very personal restrictions, such as forbidding Ravendra to approach her with romantic intentions, so Azura chose to sleep in a different room, then forbade her to restrict Azura's freedom, then forbid him to try to control Azura's life, and much more.

Azura sat in the living room with Ravendra, in front of her a piece of the marriage contract they wrote together. Time passed by so quickly from the moment they compiled this list of contracts. There were many things Azura wanted and those that did not. Most were indeed things about Azura's desire.

Ravendra looked at the list with mixed feelings. She knew very well that Azura strongly disagreed with her betrothal, even to the point of having to draw up this kind of contract. But inwardly, she felt sliced by the fact that Azura felt she had to compile all of this.

Azura looked at Ravendra with a sharp gaze, trying to give an impression if she did not want to be with him. "Ravendra, I want you to know that this isn't about me wanting to control you or tie you up. It's more about me feeling scared, feeling trapped in a situation that I can't control."

Ravendra looked at Azura attentively, trying to understand her feelings. "I understand, Azura. I also don't want to feel you're restrained or unhappy. But I wonder, how do you feel now? Do you feel the need for all these bans?"

Azura sighed lightly, trying to describe her feelings honestly. "Some of those lists may feel too overwhelming right now. But there are some that still concern me. I'm afraid to give myself completely, Ravendra. I'm afraid to lose myself in this relationship."

Ravendra looked at his eyes sincerely. "Azura, you have to trust me that I don't want to change who you are. I love you for who you are. I want us to build strong, supportive relationships."

Azura smiled but was forced. "I know you want the best for us. But I don't think there's any other way for us to feel safe and happy without this contract."

Ravendra looked at Azura softly. "Maybe we can change some points, adjust it to our current condition. Importantly, we need to build mutual trust and communication."

Azura. "Whatever, but I want the points I put forward to stay that way. I won't change, no matter what happens. I'LL NEVER LOVE YOU."

Ravendra smiled gently. "Alright, Azura. However, I promise I will continue to work hard to earn your trust and make you happy."

Azura smiled cynically. "No way, I won't let you get close to me let alone get to my heart."

After they agreed, they signed the contract. Azura was very pleased with his decision. From now on, Ravendra will not interfere in his affairs. For Ravendra, this was no big deal as he was sure that one day Azura would understand his feelings.

Both feel that this moment is the starting point in their relationship. Ravendra will open the door to more communication, trust, and understanding. But in contrast to Azura with his stubborn nature who does not want Ravendra to approach him.

Azura came to her senses from her daydream, now, as she read the list again, she felt that things had changed. Although at first she may have made this contract a form of self-protection, their relationship has grown deeper and more intimate than they ever imagined. Azura felt a mixture of confusion and nostalgia. Is this list still relevant? Does he still feel the need to restrict Ravendra in these matters? He knew that he had to talk to Ravendra about this. They should discuss whether this list still needs to exist, or whether it is time they let go and build deeper trust between them.

With a smile, Azura looked at the content points of the marriage contract she made first. He knew he was being so selfish. And he also realized that Ravendra was so patient with facing him. Look again at the contract...

Marriage Contract

Article 1: Limitation of Physical Interaction

I, Azura, hereby declare that I very much do not want Ravendra to approach me in a way that refers to a romantic or sexual relationship. I want to maintain a physical distance between us to maintain my comfort and security.

We will sleep in a different bedroom. I want to keep my privacy and personal space awake, without the pressure to share a bed.

"You look amazing" Ravendra said with a sincere smile. His voice was full of admiration.

Azura felt a blush, but her smile could not help. "Thank you, baby. I want to give you the best performance" he replied gently.

Ravendra stood up and approached Azura. He grabbed Azura's hand and brought it to his lips, giving a soft kiss on the back of his wife's hand. "You've always been beautiful, Azura. Whatever you wear, my heart is still bewitched."

Azura felt warm in Ravendra's arms. He felt such a deep vibe of happiness and love. After releasing a hug, they walked side by side towards the door. Azura feels lucky to have Ravendra, the husband who always supports her and gives her sincere love.

That night, Azura and Ravendra sit in Ravendra's white Mitsubishi Pajero Sport car heading to their favorite steakhouse. The night air feels cool, but the warmth between them is like forming a protective layer that repels the cold.

Azura looked out the car window, looking at the brightly shining city lights. It felt like time had slowed down while he was beside Ravendra. He felt lucky to have a man like Ravendra who always treated him with affection.

Ravendra smiled at Azura, feeling the same longing. "Do you miss enjoying the most delicious steak in town?" tanyanya while winking.

Azura returned her smile. "of course. Can't wait to taste the delicious steak in this restaurant."

After a few minutes, their car arrived in front of the restaurant. They got out of the car and walked in, picked up by the fragrant aroma of grilled meat that was tempting to taste. The restaurant was full of a comfortable and elegant atmosphere.

The waiter escorted them to a prepared table. Azura and Ravendra sat face to face, smiles unceasingly etched on their faces. They open the menu and choose a wide selection of steaks available.

While waiting for the order to come, Azura looked around the restaurant with a nostalgic look. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so familiar that it reminded him of his previous visit with Ravendra. Nothing has changed since the last time they came here. Every corner, every ornament, everything was still the same as in his memory.

He smiled to himself, brooding about how many trips they had gone through since first coming to this restaurant. From their initially doubtful marriage, to the present where they have gone through so many trials and carved wonderful memories together.

As Azura sat in the restaurant, memories from her previous life suddenly came flooding into her mind. He recalled how he had come to this restaurant with Leo, back then he was already married to Ravendra. Ravendra realized that Azura was silent in her thoughts. He grabbed Azura's hand gently on the table and said softly, "What are you thinking?"

Azura woke up from her daydream and smiled at Ravendra. "Just reflect on our journey together, on all the moments we have shared."

Ravendra felt the warmth of Azura's hand in his hand. "Yes, there's a lot we've been through. But most importantly, we're always together and supportive of each other."

Azura nodded, her eyes twinkling as their gaze met. "really. And I'm so grateful for everything you've done for me."

Ravendra smiled wider, his gaze filled with warmth and affection. "I will always be beside you, Azura. We face everything together."

When the order finally came, they both felt like time had paused, allowing them to enjoy a simple yet meaningful moment of togetherness. In a loving atmosphere, they value their increasingly strong relationships, unshakable by time or trials.

They enjoy not only the delicacy of the dish, but also the ever-expanding moment of love between them. Under the gentle light of the restaurant lights, they felt a happiness growing deeper, like a flame burning between them.

Azura felt her heart melt hearing those words. He grabbed Ravendra's hand and gave a short kiss on the back of that hand. "I'm also grateful, honey. I'm so happy."

Their two eyes met each other, filled with feelings of affection and closeness. It doesn't take a lot of words to convey how important each other is in their lives. As the car enters the yard, they feel a happy and peaceful vibe, knowing that home is a place where they can always go home and feel loved.

With a happy heart, they together enter the house they built together, ready to face every second that will come in the course of their lives.
