The Destiny of the Sinner

The Destiny of the Sinner
26. The Opposite Side

Middle Continent.

Blue Jade City, the Capital of the Ming Empire was the center of the Ming Empire's reign in the Middle Continent.

The city was vast, from the west gate to the east gate it would even take three days if riding on the fastest horse at the moment.

In this city there is a regulation that prohibits the use of force to lighten the body, or fly, so that people who walk are very many. Also here many provide vehicles similar to horse carriages, so that people who are too lazy to walk can rent a horse carriage. There are also those who have private horse carriages.

The chariot pullers were various types of monster beasts, such as the Silver Wolf, Golden Mane Horse to the Amethyst Lion.

'Like one of the countries on Earth that encourages walking or taking public transportation, ' Qin Tian inner.

Many interesting things in this City, one of which is the vast Arena that is like the Colosseum to the South of Blue Jade City. The purpose of the Arena was built for competitions or entertainment battles that were often held.

Many Nobles and wealthy Merchants filled the premises there only to risk their money if there was an official match held once a week.

And it was at that place that there would be a competition to find disciples of the Fire Flower Sect. The Colosseum is also adjacent to the Fire Flower Sect and the Ming Imperial Palace. So no one dared to act recklessly in that place.

The position of Wu Shan's house was also not too far from the Colosseum Arena. It takes less than three hours to walk.

"So, Uncle... What's Uncle selling in the store?" Qin Tian asked as he was on his way to Wu Shan's house. Because they were currently using the carriage pulled by the Silver Wolf.

"I'm just selling some antique-looking stuff. That was the reason why I left this City earlier," Wu Shan explained the reason why he had only returned after two months ago to leave Blue Jade City.

He searched through some ancient ruins located in the middle of the forest not far from the Blue Jade City.

There are still many unspoiled places, because the ruins are the ruins of the oldest Sect in the Central Continent. But, no one knew the reason why the Sect had become a ruin.

"Where are the ruins, Uncle?" Qin Tian asked out of curiosity after hearing from Wu Shan if there was often used as a training ground for Fire Flower Sect disciples.

"About 25 miles to the northwest if you're from the west gate..."

"... But, that was only the outermost part of it, for the inside there was an ancient formation that until now no one had been able to open." Wu Shan answered what he knew.

'So the ruins I saw before still hold a bit of mystery. Perhaps at another time I will visit that place, Qin Tian said.

Because, basically Qin Tian was a person who was always curious. What else if it is related to ancient knowledge or ancient relics. But he's not overreacting on that.

"Are you interested in going there Tian?" Wu Shan asked like that because he saw the expression on Qin Tian's face that looked very curious.

"Not for now, Uncle," Qin Tian replied.

There was no sound coming out of the mouths of the two of them. Wu Shan was seen resting inside the carriage and Qin Tian was busy looking around him.

In certain places, many are peddling merchandise as in other cities in general. But, here is very orderly and neat.

The building is also very neat. Like a labyrinth, this Blue Jade City would mislead them if they did not know the exact direction of the destination.

This is a strategy if anyone intends to create chaos within the City. To this day, no fool has done that. At least not yet known to the guards.

But, on the other side. There is a very free place, even the rules in this City do not apply. Exactly the former murderers, robbers and so on.

Those who live there are only camouflaged as poor people who often beg on the streets of the City, or better known as beggars.

The group of people did not move on their own, they were commanded by someone behind the scenes with a fairly high skill.

They were so organized, that not a single soldier, not even a government center could sniff out their organization.

Everything always has an opponent. Day and night, black and white, dark and light, life and death. If there is strength, there is weakness.

Apart from everything that was done to improve the Blue Jade City, on the other hand there must be something very gripping.

Everything must be reciprocal, the Empire guarantees if the Blue Jade City is a very safe City, but on the other hand the cost to live there is very expensive. Almost ten times that of the Capital City in the Tang or Wei Empire.

After more than six hours of travel, they arrived at Wu Shan's residence.

There was a young man still waiting in front of the door, even though it was almost midnight.

"Welcome back, Father..."

"... Who is he, Dad?" the young man named Wu Zhu greeted at once asked his Father.

"He Tian, Father met him this afternoon in front of the west gate of this City," Wu Shan replied.

"With him here, maybe you can have Zhu'er's friend" he continued.

"Wu Zhu's... Greetings," he said to Qin Tian.

"Tian," that was all that came out of Qin Tian's mouth.

'This guy? Why can't I read his cultivation level?' Wu Zhu wondered.

While Qin Tian just stood up casually while occasionally glancing left and right.

"She had just come to this City, and was about to enter the Fire Flower Sect's disciple recruitment competition that would be held one more month..."

"... I hope you two can become one of the candidate disciples there," Wu Shan told the two of them.

"Now, let's take a break first, you can occupy one of the empty rooms here, Tian," he continued, allowing Qin Tian to enter and stay in one of the empty rooms there.
