The Darkest Dream

The Darkest Dream
Technically it's like stealing, but it's not!

Lex looked so happy that night, Lizzie didn't want to ruin it. Both of them were sitting in a coffee shop. Enjoying the passing of vehicles without stopping. Lizzie deliberately chose to sit on the outside chair of the tavern. His feeling was a little uncomfortable when he was going to sit inside earlier, until he decided to go back out.

"You know, miss, after my job at dawn tomorrow. I wanted to take a long break, to have plenty of time to help my wife take care of our son as well as my mother-in-law. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, my in-laws left me a lot of thanks for you, the money you gave me helped my in-laws life. He could be in surgery a week later because the money we had was enough. My mother-in-law is eager to meet a kind angel like you, miss. If you're not busy one day, stop by my little hut. We'll make roasted turkey to welcome you." Expose Lex at length. The sparkling of her eyes that night made Lizzie's heart tight.

The long resting sentence, in the sense that Lizzie caught, made her heart unbearable. His wounds were still painful, had to drip back into his blood to exchange the bad fate of this poor man.

"Miss? you heard me, right? I'm sorry if my mouth's a little chatty like a girl's. I'm just too happy to be reunited with you. Do you remember when you told me to come home as soon as you dropped you off? though I plan to find other passengers that I can take with me on my return to Mexico. Good for the extra cost of my in-laws. And lucky for me to meet you, that night there was a massive raid on dark drivers like me." Say it with a sad face, if he doesn't obey Lizzie. Maybe his fate will end in deportation or worse will be in prison for several years.

"I owe you a lot, miss, and so does my family. You're a wingless angel who was present when we were in trouble and needed help without us knowing. That's why I'm so happy to meet a kind angel like you." Lex continued to express his gratitude to Lizzie.

Lizzie smiled faintly, her heart growing unbearable, as she looked at the teary face of the man before her. Death will soon greet her, but look, a smile full of hope in order to get a lot of money and re-assemble with her small family. It is real without any burden.

Lizzie let out a heavy sigh, like her she had to give up again this time. It was not the man's fault, for having a bad destiny. They are just two people who happen to be met by a fate line, on slightly different paths. He was with all his merits, Lex the man, with all his great hopes of being able to make the people he loved happy.

"I'm also happy to meet you, Lex" said Lizzie. "May I ride in your car to sleep tonight. Besides not having enough money, tonight I want to calm my mind. It's possible that when I wake up tomorrow, I've already gained enlightenment, which job suits me." lizzie joked trying to cover the hue of unease on her face.

Lex joined in with a crisp laugh, a laugh that made Lizzie determined, to return the man home in a state of good until it got into the arms of her family.

Both of them involved small talk about work and other things. Until midnight, the two decided to get back in the car. But when it was only a few meters from the store, the sound of a loud bang made both of them slightly bounce even though not too far away.

Lex whimpered as his elbows swept through the asphalt, a sense of pain running through his arms. Lizzie was fine, there were no injuries whatsoever. But the pain in his stomach like in salt water flush.

Apparently, a gas pipe leaked out and made the explosion happen. There were two deaths on the spot, one of them was a chef and one visitor who happened to be in the toilet right next to the exploding kitchen. The others only suffered injuries from glass fragments and other objects.

"You okay, Lex.?" Lizzie helps take Lex to the car, where she treats Lex's abrasions with the wound saleb she carries.

"Do you want me to wrap it in a bandage ?" lizzie Tawang finished treating the wound on Lex's elbow.

"No, miss, just look at it to dry quickly. Thank you so much, miss, are you okay?" so trying to endure the pain, he forgot Lizzie who was also affected by the explosion.

"I'm good, don't worry about me." I want to look there first, stay here."

Lizzie came out and helped some people, there were some police cars coming as well as ambulances and fire trucks. Lex stared in admiration at the young girl who had helped him so many times. Now he understands when Lizzie first menoloynya than other victims are worse. Apparently Lizzie was getting her out of the police's sights there.

Alex never ceases to blame himself even though Leah has said many times, that it is not his fault. His hand had just been wrapped by Leah, the man venting his regret by pitting his fist against the wall.

"Are we just gonna wait until Uncle Jeff gets here? why don't we just go and meet on the street ? wouldn't that save time?" ucapa suddenly Morgan immediately made Alex's face shine bright, why he was so stupid. Such a fall in heart had robbed her of her brain intelligence.

"All right, we're leaving now. I see a car in the garage, we can use that. Uncle Jeff's business let me take care of him, Morgan, get us what we need." Let Leah speak quickly, Alex and Morgan move quickly to prepare all they need.

"You sure brother? it's called stealing" Alex scolds a little objection, knowing her brother's plan is to steal the car keys at the guard post.

"We didn't steal it, Lex. We're just borrowing it, technically like stealing, but it's not. You take it easy, the sins of beautiful people will be very easily forgiven. That's how the laws of nature work." Reply Leah relaxed, her small body has managed to enter through a narrow gap beside the table. After grabbing the car keys, Leah came back out.

"Come, I've borrowed it from Arfin" Leah explained when she got an unpleasant look from her sister.

"Really, why can't I believe it" Alex said.

"I said, uncle I borrowed one of the cars in the garage, I'll come back later if the car is still intact. Sleep well and don't forget to dream beautiful." reply Leah lightly, then step away leaving her sisters who are still gawking, hearing the astonishing words of their cousin brother.

"Ck! it is the same as not borrowing. How could he let her sleep like a mountain gorilla." Oceh Alex glanced at Arfin who was slitting in his swivel chair. They followed Leah's wide steps towards the garage.

Jeff rages on Arfin as well as the people he's tasked to look after the heirs. Now he even cheated because of the carelessness of his men.

"Do I pay you to sleep, huh!" Arfin was speechless unable to retaliate even just to defend himself. One of them is also too much to eat until finally drowsy unbearable.

"Pardon us sir, we will soon find the whereabouts of the heirs." Said one of Jeff's men. They rushed to their respective cars, Jeff smiled meaningfully when he saw his favorite car was no longer in his place.

"You're smart in choosing which car is good young lady." Jeff said staring at the trail of the tire squeaks his car with a slick look. He hopes his car is still in shape when he manages to find the whereabouts of his young miss.

"I found this under the pillow young lady, sir." Nayana's voice distracts Jeff. His hand outstretched reaching for a letter that folded so neatly, there was a feeling of misgivings in his mind.

When he unfolded the letter, Jeff's eyes were already heating up. Lizzie's simple words manage to tear down Jeff's haughty wall. The indecision on his face seemed unable to sustain the tightness in his heart.

"Drakes! be ready for all, lest there be any left behind. The real war will begin soon . Ready for your full arsenal, young lady we need a lot of soldiers." After giving his edict, Jeff pulled out a black wrapping cloth from behind his jacket.

A old-fashioned gun Sandora gave him the other day. "I will choose wisely madam, but not one of them. I'll choose both of them to survive. Let's see how fate will punish me later, I don't care." Jeff reinserted his weapon, the man got into the car and led his troops in the front row.

The shadows of his family's faces one by one flashed in his mind. It would definitely hurt, but it would hurt even more, if her self could not save her two young ladies. Let the destiny of God speak, his self will move that destiny with the help of his hands.
