124. Disaster

After breakfast, yes breakfast was really breakfast after their hot struggle in the morning. Because of both fatigue Daniel finally ordered food from the outside for breakfast.

The two are currently relaxing in front of the television, sitting on the sofa with a few snacks on the table. Not watching dramas, both prefer television shows like business news or talk shows.

Mia leaned her head against her husband, eating the snack Daniel held for her. "Sure, it'll be healthier. I'll make some good juice with my recipe. You wait here." Daniel poked his wife's nose looking up at him. Wanted another coo, but was afraid of release. Later that night he thought, let their strength recover first.

A little later, Daniel returned with two glasses of fruit juice which he mixed with yogurt. Put the juice on the table. Then his gaze turned to the wife who looked so serious watching television.

"Dear, why are you so serious about seeing her." Daniel teases.

"Niel, look," pointed Mia at the television screen. "There has to be an earthquake on the Northern mainland of Niel" he continued.

Daniel also watched the television that was broadcasting the news of the natural disaster that had just occurred. Where in the show shows many buildings that are ravaged and collapsed flat with the ground. Then many people ran around crying looking for their families.

"An earthquake of 7.4 on the Richter scale has just occurred in the city of A. The earthquake was centered on the mainland so there was no potential tsunami but a lot of buildings collapsed due to the earthquake. Many fatalities fell and were buried in collapsed buildings..." A news anchor was covering the situation there in the aftermath of the earthquake.

"Aftershocks also still occur even though they are not as big as before. But residents were urged to evacuate immediately, looking for a safer place because there were still aftershocks. A report from me..."

Daniel was still fixated, of course as the doctor saw so many wounded people that he was called to his human spirit.

"Niel, how sorry they are. Hopefully they can survive and be found soon." Mia who was a layman could feel how much suffering the victims were.

Daniel was still silent, unmoved in place. Until the ringing sound of her phone distracts her. It turned out to be a call from the hospital, as soon as he picked it up. It must be something important because he told me that no one was bothering him on the weekend but this is a sudden call, for sure it's important.

"I picked up the phone first" Daniel told his wife. Mia nodded in understanding.

"All right, I'll be going to the hospital right now." After that, he switched off his phone.

Daniel turns to his wife, who is afraid of upsetting her for ruining their vacation with work. Though he himself has promised that he will be with him during the Weekend.

"Sadly, there was a call from the hospital..."

"Go Niel," said Mia cutting off her husband's words. "They need you, you have to go now." Despite not knowing what happened in the hospital but Mia does not want to be selfish by holding her husband that many people need. What if it happened to his mother while being critical like before.

"Mia. Thank you and I'm sorry that I messed up our day." Daniel couldn't just walk away before making sure his wife was okay.

"You didn't mess up at all, Niel. Why are you talking like that. We can stay here another time."

Daniel hugged his wife suddenly, for some reason it felt so hard to leave the wife. But the call from the hospital could not be ignored.

"Go baby, someone needs you now you need to get there."

Daniel let go of his embrace, then cupped his wife's face and buried his bi-beer in his wife's bi-beer. Lu-ma-tan this time is so deep and soulful.

"Thank you for your understanding..." Said Daniel.

Daniel immediately prepared, replacing the shirt he was wearing with the shirt available there. Mia also prepared for her husband's needs.

"Darling, you're ready too. I'll take you home first." Daniel would never leave his wife there alone.

"No, Niel, you just go. You've been waiting. I can go home by myself later."

"Go Niel..."
