REFUSING COOPERATION

"Darling, don't you feel insulted by what Alexa gave you?" ask Sisca.

Just meeting him would please my heart. Whatever he gives, I don't care. Maybe I should find a way to meet her often. - Darren.

"Darling, are you listening to me?" ask Sisca who feels ignored by Darren because Darren is silent and does not answer her question.

"I'm tired, don't ask too many questions" said Darren who then went into the bathroom.

Sisca was upset. He clenched his hand. Darren paid no heed to her, even since her husband met Alexa, her husband had become unfocused. Darren always looked around as if looking for Alexa.

"How's it going in there, Clau?" ask Alexa.

"Everything's still in good shape and under control, miss."

"Then what about the plan to expand to the Americas?"

"The building is currently under renovation. Afterwards we will start recruiting staff," replied Claudia who was still yawning as she was still finishing some work.

"alright. If there's anything that needs me, call me right away. I'll go straight there. Rest Clau, don't make yourself tired."

"Just calm down, Miss. I'm used to staying up late" he said with a laugh and looked at James sleeping next to him.

During both his parents' vacation and Axton's trip to America, Alexa is accompanied by Zero. The two of them were in the car and headed to the Williams Company.

"Down first, I'll catch up with you soon" said Zero, who dropped Alexa in the Williams Company lobby.

That morning, Alexa will work as usual. Dad Azka did not specifically introduce Alexa as his daughter because he did not want anything bad done by his enemy. Zero will replace Axton for a while.

The sound of heels worn by Alexa makes all eyes look at her. The appearance of Alexa that looks beautiful, graceful, and friendly, makes the staff never hesitate to greet Alexa first. Alexa is rarely in the office because she has a position as Director of Operations. He will travel more to several companies that are members of the Williams Group and monitor the workings and performance of the staff.

"Good morning, miss," said one of the staff.

"Morning," Alexa replied with a smile.

He entered the elevator and headed straight to the floor where the room was. With a steady and confident step, Alexa got out of the elevator. He immediately entered his room after greeting Keekan, his secretary.

By noon, the phone on Alexa's desk rang. Alexa presses one of the buttons, "Yes Kee."

"Miss, Mr. Darren wants to see you."

Hearing that, Alexa smiled. In his heart he had already devised some plans. Didn't they start it all, then it's Alexa's turn that will end.

"Good, Miss."

A knock was heard on the Alexa's office door. When the door opened, Alexa could immediately see the arrival of the man who once filled her heart, so there was not the slightest gap that could be filled by other men.

"Please sit down, Mr. Darren. What made the honorable Lord Darren come here? What gift did we give yesterday feel lacking? we can and will be happy to add to that" Alexa said.

Alexa got up from her seat and sat on a single sofa that was located in Darren's sitting position. Darren without saying anything, just keep looking at Alexa. He smiled and felt something in his heart. He does not care what Alexa says, as long as he can continue to be around him and look at him as he is today.

"Don't waste my time, Mr. Darren. My time is so precious, that it would be in vain if used for unimportant things and people."

"I'd like to offer you a partnership with the Williams Company. That I think will benefit both parties," Darren hopes Alexa accepts this cooperation so that he can meet with Alexa more often.

The voice of the phone makes Alexa rise from her seat and take her phone that is on the table. He saw a short message notification and smiled meaningfully.

"Mr Darren, how about we talk about our cooperation over lunch?" ask Alexa.

It makes Darren smile and think that Alexa must really miss their togetherness. They used to have lunch together.

Using Williams' car, they headed to a restaurant. The restaurant serves high-class food and once they both went, making Darren's feelings back up.

The two of them entered a restaurant that had enough memories between them. However, this time Alexa's goal is not to remember, but to make someone feel his position.

A chair that became their favorite place, again became Alexa's choice. The small details that Alexa does, continue to add flavor and memory in Darren. The smile on his face grew bigger and bigger. The main goal is to get back to Alexa's heart, it doesn't seem to be too difficult, so he thought.

Alexa and Darren sat facing each other. Alexa raised her hand and called out to a waiter.

"Mr Darren, Miss Alexa. How are you doing? nice to meet you two again," said the waiter who already knew them because the two can be said to often come there.

"My news is good, Fai. Thank you," Alexa replied gently as usual. Darren did not answer because he was now more focused on observing Alexa in front of him.

Alexa opens sheet by sheet from a cooperation proposal submitted by Darren Company. He focused on reading and did not care about anything else, even though he was waiting for something to happen.

And sure enough, not long after, a woman who was originally sitting not far from there, stood up and approached.

"Are you still unable to forget my husband?!" Sisca's hand was already in the air and seemed to be landing on Alexa's face, but Alexa immediately held it. Slowly he took a tissue and wiped his face.

"Mr Darren, what is this about your family's treatment of your potential business partner? Then, without me needing to read further what the proposal was about, I refused this cooperation," Alexa threw Sisca's hand and walked out of the resto, leaving Darren who was now staring intently at his wife. While Sisca's body began to tremble at the sight of Darren's gaze.
