CHAPTER 16, DUTY OF KYAI AGENG BANYU URIP

After a few days of clearing the Kyai Ageng Banyu Urip residence and the remnants of the match practice, Danang was called to face by Kyai Ageng Banyu Urip and Kyai Surawisesa.

After Kyai Ageng Banyu Urip and Kyai Surawisesa finished their duties and offered praise and thanksgiving to the presence of the Almighty, they dined together.

After the meal, Kyai Ageng Banyu Urip said, “Choose ngger, take it as your lunch. My message, remember always everything I've taught you since you were a kid. Also remember all uwakmu tips.”while handing over a bundle of clothes and three bags of cloth filled with money.

After checking, Danang was surprised that the bag of money contained pieces of bronze, silver, and gold money which according to its size was too much to feel very uneasy.

Then after tucking his books and his heritage weapons behind Kotang Kyai Nogo Bumi, Danang rushed to leave the residence Kyai Ageng Banyu Urip to Sekarjati Village which takes about two days on foot.

Danang chose to travel unhurriedly so as to have time to enjoy nature and think about his enlightenment.

Towards sunset, Danang rests in the forest after hunting a jungle chicken and then burns it for his dinner.

When he was eating, suddenly the bad luck of the wind was directed at him.

Danang quickly dodged the attack which turned out to be a secret weapon in the form of a small knife that stuck deep in the tree behind him.

Then came out three black-clothed figures with a cloth covering the face from the nose down with sharp weapons in the form of a machete, sword and trident.

“Give all your goods and property young man, and we will be kind enough to let you through this forest.”ucap one of the figures who turned out to be a robber.

“Sorry kisanak, what I brought was a message from my parents, and I can't possibly hand it to you.”balas Danang.

“Means you'd rather die young man. Attack him!” said one figure who seems to be the leader of the robber gang.

Both of his colleagues immediately jumped to attack by knocking each of his weapons. The third figure then followed the attack hit his goal towards the head of Danang.

Easily Danang dodged backward and then returned the attack with a fierce tiger style, his blow caused a bad wind that surprised the three robbers, although managed to avoid.

“Be careful kakang, it seems that this child is quite shrewd.”ujar one of the robbers.

They re-nested simultaneously, which Danang easily avoided.

After twenty moves Danang finally decided to let their weapons slash his body.
