Elf Village
"Dad is inside, come in." Bfeen opened the door and entered.
"Can we just walk in?" Oliver asked first.
"Miss Bfeen already said that so go ahead." Reply to the Elf who was driving them.
"Well, excuse me." Said Oliver walking in following Bfeen with his other soldiers unless two of unit three remained on guard at the door and did not enter.
"It's wider than I thought." Fve said look at the interior of this tree house or more precisely the contents of this tree trunk.
"Sit down, I'll call my father first." Bfeen invited everyone to sit on the floor.
"Good." Oliver answered and sat with the others on the floor.
"So the Elf tribe's the best Leader." Said Cloe lifting his thumb where without Oliver realized Cloe was already nosebleed.
"You've been hit by quite the damage by boing boing, Cloe." Oliver.
"Oh. Welcome to our village!" A teenage boy arrives with Bfeen and welcomes all of them with a lively and direct sit with them.
"Who? Brother Bfeen?" Again Oliver asked frankly.
"My ahaha is Bgin's father Bfeen and the village chief here." The teenager introduced himself.
All of them had gone silent to digest the meaning of Bgin's speech before being surprised.
"You look like brothers." Oliver.
"We Elves are like that, even though we are old we will still not age because Ingrid's spirit is always with us, maybe you will be surprised but I am nine hundred and thirty years old." Said Bgin the village head of Elf.
"Nine hundred and thirty!?" All of them were surprised.
"Ukhhumi I'm sure no human will survive to that age." Said Oliver fixing his seat.
"To my knowledge the age of man is only about seventy years old while we Elves have an age of approximately one thousand years before they are destined to die and return to the spirit side of Ingrid." Bgin.
'Like the spirit of Ingrid who always mentioned is a kind of god or their belief here.' Inner Oliver.
"Please drink." Bfeen brought a drink.
"Sorry only this can be provided to welcome you because we don't know what food humans like." Bgin.
"What's this?" Asked Fve when he saw the black liquid in the glass that was given to him.
"That's coffee, I've seen it in the Fertiland Empire." Oliver.
"Can this be a drink?" Ask Fve.
"That's why I've never tried." Answer Oliver.
"It can relieve depression and ease the mind." Bgin started drinking his coffee.
"So Mr. Bgin said he didn't know human food, were human and elf foods different?" Asked Oliver.
"We really don't know it either but we're not allowed to eat meat, milk, fish or anything like that." Answer Bgin.
"This is gonna be a good report." Fve quickly wrote it.
"I'm sorry but I'll just ask, why did you invite us to your village?" Asked Oliver.
"I invite you - or rather, my daughter invited you all to her because she thought you were the team that wiped out the demon army last week, is that right?" Answer Bgin and ask back.
"Oh last week's war, it's true our troops." Oliver said, but he also quietly prepared for something else.
It could have been the Elves were a group of demons yesterday and a grudge with their army even though it was a small possibility after seeing how sealed they were.
"Oh it turns out to be true, I as the village chief Elf Bgin represent the whole village thanking all of you." Bgin bowed his head.
"Thank you for what?" Of course Oliver's confused.
"Truely the demon army is trying to occupy our village and continue to send troops to attack us, his result. Many warriors from our village have died, we are very grateful to you for eliminating the demon army." Said Bgin once again bowing his head.
"There's no need to thank us, we're just running errands and it just so happens that we do have a problem with them." Oliver tried to stay humble.
"Leader should be the leader just say yes, why should pretend like that?" Fve Whispers.
"Diem." Reply Oliver whispered.
"Maybe this is too unnatural and disrespectful but, we want to borrow your power that can defeat fifty thousand of those demon armies to fight the dragons that continue to terrorize our village." Said Bgin who was almost prostrated.
'That's not disrespectful anymore but not self-knowing, to now dig up the information just yet.' Inner Oliver. "Dragon? From what I see in this forest there's no sign of war at all." Oliver.
"That's thanks to Ingrid's spirit who always guarded this forest and fixed it after the fire dragon came attacking." Bgin.
"If you may know when the fire dragon started attacking this village?" Asked Oliver.
"Fire dragons keep coming to ask for the fall from our village since one year ago, we tried to fight but the result of the fighters in this village burned to the ground especially we have to face the demon army that keeps coming, this is really a disaster for our tribe." Bgin.
"Well, what's the fire dragon like?" Ask Oliver to know more about the target that could be his opponent in the future.
"Like a dragon in general, he has hard scales even our arrow arrows are blown away, in one burst of fire in his mouth it can burn us in the blink of an eye." Answer Bgin.
"Sclass monster." Oliver muttered because the arrows of the Elves he knew as the reliable archers he had met were still bouncing.
When Oliver managed to fend off the arrows belonging to the daughter of the head of the Elf village before him, namely Bfeen, Oliver had already activated his full perception skill to sense the direction of the attack and even then he managed to fend off the arrows just by chance, the result of his hand becoming numb and quite sick.
"What should we do Leader?" Ask Cloe.
"Leader didn't mean to take us to fight the dragon, did he?" Fve Whispers.
"Before I apologize, Mr. Bgin, we don't want to help but we can't act on our own without the consent of our general especially I don't want my men to risk their lives without any guarantee." Oliver refused directly by choosing the best word.
"Of course we'll give you a reward, if you can defeat the fire dragon you can have this heirloom of our village." Bgin said showing a sword sheath made of wood and had a very high aura as if to put pressure.
