The pieces of Zero Crystal they were looking for in Xlyvroye's world were pieces with wind elements.  Varendra and the others are still airborne looking for traces of the existence of the pieces, which certainly can be easily traced through the magnitude of the wind waves they receive.

" blood?." Ask Zays

" yes. You think the blood you took is what I mean?. The spirit was absorbing the blood within me. You fool!." Varendra, who was not even satisfied, scolded Zays despite his weak condition.

" What are we doing with that crystal?." Tanya Minerva is still protected by a protective blazart made by Zays and Varendra

" The spirit wants my blood. Elements stored in the blood are hot, so you also know what elements to extinguish. Do it quickly!." Varendra's orders to Zays

Zays controlled the control system within him to absorb water from a nearby water source and point it at the crystal. But the black aura did not fade.
