The Fruit of Patience*

The Hospital.

After several tests, Tessa developed typhus. Tessa had a fever a few days before, but she never mentioned it.

Tessa reasoned because her fever often disappeared, although later it appeared again. Arjuna silently heard Tessa's testimony where he never realized his wife was sick.

They speak in English.

"You will be treated for a few days here until the condition stabilizes" the doctor said.

"But I have to go back to China, Doc. Can't I go on an outpatient basis?" tanyanya.

"You're innocent of anything, Sun. Please, help Arjuna as long as I'm not around. He must be having trouble taking care of the company. I'm sorry for getting sick. I ... can't take good care of myself," he replied listlessly.

Arjuna did not answer, but he returned Tessa's embrace by stroking her soft back.

Arjuna takes Tessa back home. Tessa sent me a message that she wasn't going to dinner because she wanted to go home and everyone heard her.

"I'm hungry" complained Arjuna.

"I'm not very good at cooking, but .. I'll do something" Tessa replied as she went to the kitchen.

Arjuna nodded and immediately went into the bathroom to clean himself up. Tessa looks busy in the kitchen not even helped by the waiter because the night is late and the kitchen attendant is asleep.

Arjuna was surprised to find that his dinner had arrived in the room. Tessa serves with different flavored wine on the fireplace side table. Arjuna who just wrapped a towel around his hips immediately came to the delicious aroma.

"sorry. I ... can only make this. I learned it from Sakura. Hopefully, you like it" said Tessa nervously as she placed a spoon, fork and knife next to Arjuna's fried rice plate.

"You ... learned to cook while in America? You should have just come home" said Arjuna as he sat down.

"Sorry, it's just, Sakura's holding me back. You must be troubled to take care of the company without me and Sun," replied Tessa standing beside the table with a spoon and fork in her hand.

"Sit. We ate together," Arjuna asked kindly, and Tessa was surprised by it. She nodded and looked awkward as her husband was gentle not cold like the weather outside. "Wow, this is delicious, really," he said praising and eating voraciously.

Smiling at Tessa, she feeds her hungry mouth with her homemade cooking.

Arjuna looked at Tessa carefully sitting in front of him looking like he was afraid of her for not daring to return his gaze.

Tessa chose to take a look, sip wine, or go back to eating, but the clumsy thing made Arjuna look at her more deeply.

"Do you hate me?" suddenly tanyanya. Tessa was surprised and looked at Arjuna at a glance. He shook.

"I love you too much to hate you, Kim Arjuna. I ... know my consequences. No, don't think about it. I ... will take care of my health. Hopefully, I don't get sick anymore" he replied with a downcast look and returned to eating.

"I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?" Tessa broke into tears with a slow nod. Arjuna smiled faintly. "We repair our relationship, but .. don't expect too much. At least, I'll try a little" he said practically, making Tessa shed tears.

"I appreciate your efforts, Kim Arjuna," Tessa replied with a raised smile.
