Lana's Story

"Hm, okay."

Even the mother seemed to understand. He did not force Mira to answer his question. He let Mira make her own decision.

A few days later...

Hot weather seemed to be sweeping the capital. It's not usually hot until this scorching. Mira just got out of her class. He sat for a while in the school garden. Mira wants to find out where Jim is right now. Jim was not at school.

And that's how the message from Mira's mother sounded. He wanted to say thank you for Lana picking up her daughter back from school.

Mira has previously told her who Lana is and how close she is to him. Mira's mother is not worried because her daughter is friends with good people. Mira's mother doesn't know that Lana is the son of a rich man. He did not ask further who Lana really was. He just wanted to make sure that his daughter was friends with good people. Now Mira and Lana are headed somewhere. Which turned out to be a sports stadium. Close to the art market, a theatrical venue is served. Lana takes Mira out of her car. He asked the driver to wait inside. Lana then invites Mira to enter the stadium. Where they could see Jim playing ball there.

Mira was shocked then. He wondered why Lana could bring him here.

Lana looked at Jim who was passing the ball. "I actually like Jim's brother. But my mother forbids." Lana finally told me.

And finally Mira knows how Lana really feels. "Then?" Mira also wants to know.

"My father was an official in this country. We often moved cities and lived in a private home. Our own house is in an exclusive cluster that is here. But now it is being auctioned due to the need for fees for my two older brothers. They want to live abroad. College and live there." Lana recount.

Mira was silent listening.
