Tarnished On The Bride's Night

Tarnished On The Bride's Night
Serving You to Satisfaction

“Ka-you're here?”

Dara was clearly excited to find Alif in front of her with a sweet smile that she rarely seemed. Unfortunately, Dara could not hide how fascinated she was about that beautiful face.

“Attracted?” ask Alif.

Although Dara shook her head, but Alif was very understanding because there was no way this woman would come clean.

“You order what Miss?” ask Alif again while offering a menu book. “Special to you I will serve him myself. Until satisfied.”

“Your last words sound ambiguous.”

“Just your thoughts are dirty,” said Alif afterwards. Then put the fancy menu book to the table because Dara never received it.

“So this is yours? Congratulations, yes. Cool.” Dara praised.

“How much is the value for this place from numbers one to ten?”

“Eight.”

“Why should it be eight? Why not ten?”

“Because the waiter in front of me is too stiff.”

“What kind of soft should you mean? I tried to show my smile until my teeth were dry. Distinguish me from the weaklings, I am a man.”

Dara poked her lips.

“You look messy once,” Alif assess the appearance of Dara who is rather agitated and so lethargic.

“I am ugly, so no one wants to like me, including my own husband,” Dara thinks for himself.

“I just said messy, not ugly. Heartache yourself if you can't tell the difference.”

“I order the most delicious coffee here, but don't be too expensive, yes.”

Alif nodded. Then he stood up to his baristas to tell him to make an order.

A few minutes later he returned with a tray containing two of Bistro's flagship drinks.

Just specifically for Dara, she brought her own drink, and accompanied her to sit at once. Usually never.

They also then talked. More precisely Dara who spoke because Alif was more of a listener. Sometimes he answers when necessary, but with a gaze that cannot be interpreted. Maybe only sensitive people can realize it, while Dara is not.

Dara doesn't really know what love means. For a woman like her, that love must also be expressed. Not enough is shown by an action. Therefore, he often misinterpreted the word love itself. Though clearly in plain sight, Alif was showing the amount of love he had.

“Why did you choose this field, which is not your major at all, Lif?" tanya Dara paused for a while. "Even not necessarily succeeding from so many M that you spend. This isn't a rental, is it?”

“Not.”

"You're weird. If I were you, I would continue what was. What's the trouble for?”

“Some one insulted me and underestimated me. I want to prove that I am also able to stand alone without the help or frills of big name parents.”

“Ha? Who would dare insult you?” ask Dara immediately.

“There, someone. He's ruined me. Make my confidence disappear.”

“Didih, how insolent that person is. If there's anyone, I can punch! Tell me who it is?”

‘That person is your father, you know?’

“....”

“You should fight it!” dara said again excited.

“If the person is older than us?”

“Against it should not beat him,” replied Dara again while sipping a drink. Now that his eyes were rolling all over the room, he seemed to admire this place which was indeed very comfortable in any respect. Starting from the design, selection of furniture, electronics, and antique decorations. Moreover, supported by lights that add to the aesthetic impression.

“People say, in Bistro it always provides wine, yes?” ask Dara a few moments later.

“It's abroad. If there is nothing here,” replied Alif. “But if you want, I can provide.”

“Don't drink it even you've gone astray.”

“Enak. You are the one who is lost!” Dara pulled the menu book and looked around carefully. The food menu is quite tempting even with the price that is not friendly to the pocket.

“I regret coming here,” he said again put the menu book.

“Why? Nothing fits?” alif's face changed as he felt that he had let her down.

“The price,” replied Dara.

“Order whatever you want,” said Alif later. “Consider this your own place.”

“Alright, I'll order it. But next time I'll change.”

Alif noticed Dara ordering food. He also seemed to be observing the woman who looked inwardly tormented. Dara said that Chandra rarely gave her a living born so she was forced to skimp.

Alif's heart was full of it. That is why he remembered Hilman's words some time ago. This fact is very different from what he said. That Dara will be very secure and adequate with Chandra. The facts? Not at all.

“Chandra is better than you in any way. He's a slacker. Huge pay! Over ten million of his earnings. Not to mention the various benefits it gets per month. Who are you, huh? How dare I ask my daughter."

Whereas if compared, Chandra's salary is completely okay with the money that Alif has. Even if Hilman found out, Alif's family could buy all those factories at once. But it is very unlikely that Alif said it.

Alif guessed, Hilman did not know who his family was. They had just met at Yudha's wedding reception which could be said to be simple. Even with the appearance of his parents who tend to be ordinary, without luxury. Perhaps in this sense he was judging and considering.

"I swore I would never give my daughter to you! Because I believe a young model like you is a lazy young man, who can only spend his parents' treasure!”

Some of the spicy sentences were again triggered to make Alif's heart melt. And for the first time Alif was committed to a man other than God and his parents, for the sake of a woman.

“Om, help me, Om. I really love Dara. I would do anything for Dara. I'll build my own business without the help of my parents to get Om to believe. I promise to make Dara happy for the rest of my life, Om.”

“No! I'll never give up my daughter, you hear? My daughter doesn't deserve you. My daughter will be happy with Chandra! Not with a young man like you, an obscure delinquent!”

“Om, please, Om. I may—”

“Alah, get out of here! The polygamist family! I don't trust you guys?!” cut Dara's father immediately. “I'm so sure you'll also treat my daughter the same way!?”

“That I am polygamous because he has a strong reason. Let me make it clear that Om did not misjudge my family. My abah is indeed—Byurr!”

Maybe if only just the words of Alif can still easily forgive him. But the drinking water that had just been served by Ratna was splashed into his body until he gasped and felt so despicable. It's like he's the dirtiest man who doesn't deserve to be treated more humanely.

Luckily, the drink was not too hot. Because if so, maybe his skin will blister.

He hides this because he doesn't want Dara to hate her parents.

Ratna's mother did know all these things, but she also closed them for whatever reason. But Alif thought she was also afraid of her own husband who was secretly like a heartless dajal.

After the incident, Alif had been in shock and ill for days. His family thought, Alif is sick from too much night wandering. But Umi Ros knew even though Alif did not tell the whole story. Alif had already thought about what impact it would have after she bluntly.

Alif also had time to hate Yudha because the story of polygamy dragged along his name. Because of him, Hilman then considers himself also the same male model.

“Alif .. I have to go home. It's afternoon,” said Dara a few hours later after they were satisfied chatting.

“Let me drive you,” Alif respond.

“Do not, it is troublesome.”

Alif doesn't care. Even though Dara refused, she still took the keys to her car. “Tomorrow there is a good film. I want to take you to watch.”

“Watch?” Dara. Suddenly he immediately recalled the advice from Vita yesterday. Watching can momentarily remove fatigue.

Yeah, that's a good idea. “OK, I want,” replied Dara finally.

Without Dara knowing, Alif faintly smiled. ‘You've made it into my trap. This is according to my previous plan.’
