Irina spilled her body on her bed, her eyes staring at the ceiling of the room. Questions ran through his head. Irina was still so devastated considering all of Adrian's words. Even when she arrived home, Irina deliberately passed her mother just like that. All he wanted right now was to calm down.
"Sister Adrian, MY FIANCEE?!"
There were too many explanations that Irina had to digest in such a short period of time. Immediately the events of the past began to appear and without mercy shook his brain to the point of being tired. Irina was not strong anymore, her eyes began to wet, dim, and she fell asleep.

Irina blinked her eyes when she was struck by the sound of knocking on the door. A familiar voice called out his name many times. The voice of Adrian. Irina let out a heavy sigh, took a sitting position on the edge of her bed and answered Adrian's call with a sense of laziness.
"It's dinner time" Adrian said, then his footsteps were heard away from Irina's bedroom door.
Irina tidied her hair and mirrored it to make sure that her face did not look bad. Her eyes were slightly puffy, Irina decided to wash her face with water and went down towards the dining room. He had been asleep for a long time and his stomach was now very hungry.
Arriving at the dining room, Irina immediately sat on her stool and started eating without saying much. Both of his parents and Adrian had already enjoyed their meal.
Silence, as if they were all focused on enjoying the food presented in front of each of them. In reality, all of them including Irina were preparing to start a complicated conversation after finishing dinner.
Riffan who had finished eating immediately got up from his seat and after a long silence, he began to speak up before leaving for his private office.
"Everybody please come to Dad's room after you've finished eating."
Marinka simply smiled and nodded subtly to her husband. While Irina and Adrian, the two of them secretly hide the heartbeat while accelerating their eating rhythm.
***
Marinka is sitting quietly on the soft sofa of her husband's private room. Riffan himself sat elegantly in the work chair behind the most sturdy table in the room.
While Irina and Adrian inevitably sit on the same sofa, the two side by side right facing their father according to his mother's instructions.
"Irina" said Riffan.
"So you already know that Adrian is your fiance?" ask again without further ado.
Irina nodded slowly, there was nothing to question anymore, Adrian had pretty much delivered everything. Irina just needs some time to calm down.
But at this time, the ego begins to possess it. The sense of inadmissibility over the ignorance deliberately created for him made him driven into rebellion for no reason.
"Since when did Irina agree? Irina didn't even know of this commitment!" irina said firmly while looking straight at her father who looked surprised at Irina's reaction.
Adrian who was sitting with his face down beside Irina quietly hid the face mimic that was immediately stunned by the words that Irina had just thrown. Adrian's feelings waver, feeling low and as if experiencing real rejection.
Irina's eyes looked at her father's pair of eyes with a sharp and teary look. Disappointment and resistance were clearly on his face. Even so, in Irina's own heart did not understand what exactly she was doing.
"Irina!" riffan snapped because he did not expect the attitude of his daughter who was not as usual.
Marinka immediately got up from her seat in a calm manner, approaching her husband, touching both of her husband's shoulders gently.
"Here you go, let me talk to Irina. Believe me, this is not something to be questioned," said Marinka meekly.
Given that his wife is a master of psychology who certainly understands the psychological reactions of every human person, plus what will be handled is his own flesh and blood, Riffan does not mind letting Marinka take over the situation.
Riffan himself currently feels unable to mediate the situation. Irina's disappointment was not entirely because of her, but rather the commitment Adrian had been forced to agree to all this time. Riffan had also thought of telling Irina as early as possible but he was also not sure which action was more appropriate so he left the choice to Adrian along with the risk.
No longer wanting to follow the family drama that stifles her inner self, Irina melengos away from the room and chose to be alone in her room.

"Adrian, are you okay?" marinka asked meekly as they sat together in Riffan's study.
Riffan chose to go rest in his room after being calmed by his wife. And now there is Adrian who sits alone and Marinka accompanies him while continuing to analyze Adrian's feelings from his passion.
Marinka knows that Adrian is currently being hit and questioning his feelings is not the right way. At this time it is certain that his special child is immersed in his own mind that is chaotic by feelings that destroy his logic.
"Adrian, I'm sure Irina didn't mean it," said Marinka meekly hoping to cool Adrian's feelings even a little.
Adrian raised his face, turned to his mother and found the scratches of his mother's sweet smile that felt warm. Adrian was a little relieved. Her mother knows Irina better. Trusting his mother's words was the best at the moment.
"Right now, Irina was being hit. Same with you, he's fucked up. His mind was not clear so he was impulsive. I'll talk to him and you better not think no" Marinka asked Adrian while gently patting Adrian on the shoulder.
Adrian just nodded slowly.
"Did you really agree to get engaged to Irina?" ask Marinka suddenly.

In Irina's room, by the way,
Marinka is now sitting on Irina's bedside and finds her beloved girl lying on her back, curling weakly while sobbing.
"Irina.." said Marinka softly and her right palm was used to gently wipe Irina's head.
Irina who noticed her mother's presence immediately let down her crying voice. Irina turned her head towards her mother and looked at her mother's pair of warm eyes.
"Come here" her mother said as she spread her arms to get Irina out of her sleep and hugged her.
Marinka let Irina for a while back crying sobbing in her arms. He knew at this time the most appropriate way to comfort Irina was to let Irina vent all her negative feelings by crying as much as possible.
After Irina was satisfied crying in her mother's arms, Irina began to release her arms and sit side by side on the bed with her mother.
"Irina, I know you're very disappointed. But do you know, your current disappointment is nothing compared to the burden Adrian has borne so far,"
Irina silently stared and listened carefully to every explanation of her mother. To her, every word of her mother would always succeed in calming her troubled soul.
"Irina, forgive father and mother for making your situation this complicated. We asked Adrian to be your fiance" said Marinka lirih.
"Then why did Adrian's sister respond to him?"
"Mom, Adrian did want to. Often the father and mother question this commitment he holds, does Adrian feel objection or not? However, Adrian always said that he could. Now that the decision is in you Irina, there is no coercion in this engagement plan, Adrian also does not mind if Irina does not agree," said Marinka meekly.
"But what about Rian?" chirping Irina suddenly remembered with Rian, her lover.
Marinka gave a small laugh hearing Irina's statement of concern.
"Irina, are you sure you really think Rian is that important?" marinka asked with a witty face.
"I mean mother?" Irina asked back not understanding her mother's intentions.
"Because according to mother's judgment, you're just filling the emptiness and emptiness of Adrian's coldness with Rian's presence, not something deeper than a substitute," her mother's light was still with her characteristic meekness.
"What's possible?" inner Irina.
"Have you ever, or perhaps often, compared the comfort of being with Rian to Adrian?" ask her mother again.
Irina realizes that her mother is right, Irina often compares the two of them.
Irina nodded slowly.
"Look, this is all too soon for you. How about you take your time in your readiness to start judging from a different point of view. Start seeing Adrian as a fiancee or at least a potential fiancee. You can also use it to judge the extent to which Rian took your heart. Just take advantage of the time, just think of it as an evaluation" Marinka explained excitedly.
Irina simply remained silent while weighing the advice of her mother.
"Mom believe, mother's daughter is not a child anymore. You can make the best choice for yourself. Remember, there is no compulsion here, all decisions are in your hands. Make a choice before Adrian leaves for England."
Irina flinched, she almost forgot that Adrian was about to leave for England soon after the school business had finished. That's why they both committed to starting over, getting back together.
But, after knowing the fact that Adrian is his fiancee, this is something that makes his mind very shaken. Irina was confused as to how?
"How about Irina, do you want to take the time to think before you decide?" marinka asked again to wake Irina from her daydream.
Irina then nodded in agreement.
Marinka pokes the tip of her daughter's nose while smiling witfully as a form of encouraging Irina. Irina reciprocated her mother's treatment with one sweet smile. Marinka knew it was a relieved and satisfied smile from Irina from the pressure she had just successfully released.
Marinka then moved from her seat, saying goodbye to Irina to go to see Adrian and his father and explain the hasik of their conversation.
When she was outside Irina's room and closed the door, Marinka prayed in her heart while putting both palms on her chest.
"May you finally accept Adrian, son...."
