Maymunah remained silent while cleaning the stove and other cooking utensils.
"Why didn't you answer?" The sultan asked again.
" I don't have an answer to your question. Oh yes, later in the afternoon I want to go home to my house, I hope you want to pay me, even though I have only two working days, even then not even. At least you want to give me money for the cost of going home" Maymunah replied as well as expressing his intention to go home.
The Sultan was flabbergasted to hear Maymunah's words.
"Why do you want to go home?, don't you feel at home here?" Ask Sultan.
"I just feel uncomfortable, because I have to stay one roof with you just alone.
I want to work here, because I think I will just be told to cook and then go back to the contract again. Turns out instead tell nginep, which is just the two again. So I have to go home." Maymunah answered straightforwardly.
."Why why anyway? Are you afraid of me?"
"I'm not afraid of you, I just don't want to be alone with you"
Sultan chuckles
"Why?" Ask while laughing.
"Because we are not mahram, and because we are not halal"
"Then we make it halal. We marry. I will marry you, and give you much dowry.
I will also buy you a house, a vehicle, and anything you want" Sultan said lightly.
Maymunah was wide open, the Sultan's speech just now almost made his heart melt.
Like most other women, Maymunah also has a weak side, which if not strengthened then the weakness will be used by men to men.
A striped male will usually use the word married to trick his victim into following his wishes.
With all his might, Maymunah tried to strengthen his heart so as not to be fooled by the sweet words of the Sultan.
"Don't be weak Maymunah, remember ! He is just a striped male who obviously just wants to play a woman, even more than that, this man intends to lower the self-esteem of women by doing a contract marriage.
You must be strong Maymunah.
Reject him! And get out of here!.." Maymunah kept to herself in silence.
With all his might, Maymunah tried to resist and eliminate the whispers of the devil that continued to echo in his mind.
"What is the purpose of marrying me?" Maymunah asked in a firm tone.
"Yes, everyone who wants to get married would want to have fun, including me.
I want to marry you because I want to have fun with you.
We'll have fun, I'll take you to Bali, and wherever you like. What say?" The Sultan answered lightly without any burden.
He did not understand that the woman he was talking to was now like keeping a fire in a husk.
Sultan did not notice Maymunah's face that began to blush with anger because of hearing his words which Maymunah said was harassment.
Maymunah faces towards the Sultan.
"Sorry sir, never insult the Islamic Sharia with your words" Maymunah said loudly.
Sultan was wide-eyed, he did not think Maymunah would give an answer with a word that he did not understand.
He did not understand at all , where his fault lay.
" What do you mean, ? I invite you to marry me, why do you even accuse me of insulting Islamic law?"
Maymunah smiled cynically at the Sultan's question.
" Marriage is one of the worship that is recommended by Islam. All things in marriage are governed by Allah and His Messenger.
In fact, God Himself sent down some verses that contain the rules that God has determined about marriage.
Then, you want to insult the marriage by inviting me to marry only for a while, just to satisfy your lust, then you will leave me?..
What is not an insult to the Islamic law is its name. O Lord Sultan, honorable?"
The Sultan was stunned to hear Maymunah's straightforward speech.
He looked embarrassed.
"I don't mean that, yes I just like you and you don't want to be in a haram way, so I want to marry you, let us be honest"
He said stammering.
"So you don't understand what I meant.
Okay, I'm being clear.
You said you wanted to marry me, didn't you?"
Sultan nodded.
" On what basis do you want to marry me, do you want to be my husband in the afterlife? Or do you just want to marry me to finish your lust then you'll go to your country and leave me?"
The Sultan seemed confused to answer Maymunah's question.
"Yes, will we not be equally benefited? I got what I wanted, and you'll get the money from me. I will give you a lot of money, so you will not be harmed. Aye right?"
Jeder...
The Sultan's words just now were like lightning striking Maymunah's chest.
Maymunah's face now looks more reddened with the anger that overflowed in his chest.
He approached the Sultan and...
Plakkc....
One hard slap he landed right on the Sultan's cheek, to make him jump in shock.
" I'm not a placur who sells my body for money."
He shouted after he slapped the Sultan who looked dumb and in pain.
"I'm not saying that, we're getting married "
The Sultan tried to convince Maymunah.
"What kind of things do you offer? Contract marriage, right?. Don't you know that contract marriage is illegal?"
"Mr Sultan, according to the ulama ahlu sunnah all argue that contract marriage is unlawful.
Marriage contracts are a tradition of the jahiliyah. In the early days of Islam, Rosul did not forbid, it was because the Islamic law was gradually lowered. After the Prophet in Medina, he forbade the name of a contract marriage or a marriage. Don't you understand that?" Continue with a louder and louder voice.
This time the Sultan could not answer Maymunah again.
It froze in its place.
He really did not think that Maymunah really understands the science of religion.
"I don't think I have to wait for the afternoon to go home. Right now I'm going to pack up and I'm going to call Afina to pick me up. Excuse um. " Say Maymunah said as he stepped leaving the Sultan still riveted.
After Maymunah entered the room, the Sultan only realized from his daydream.
"Akhkk..how is this? He's leaving. No, I'm not gonna let him go. She's a special woman, I have to have her by any means" she muttered as she stepped into her room.
He immediately contacted his friends, but again he was caught by a crazy idea by loyal friends who were always loyal to keep him away from the way of God.
In the room, Maymunah had all her stuff ready. He immediately called his friend Afina.
Afina, who had been contacted by the Sultan, pretended to say Maymunah's words and told her to wait.
