On the Roadside

“Rehan also does not know Ma. Rehan found her on the street unconscious so Rehan brought her here. Ma please take care of this woman Rehan wants to pray magrib first,” said Rehan hurriedly left.

The woman who is Rehan's mother feels astonished and confused to face Jihan who is unconscious. Then Rehan's mother called her maid named Siti.

“Siti.... Siti, come here first.”

Not long after that Siti half ran towards the TV room.

Arriving in the TV room Siti felt surprised when she saw Jihan who was fainting.

“Who is the woman Bu?” ask Siti wonder.

“You don't ask much, now get me eucalyptus oil first,” pinta mama Rehan.

Siti went straight to the room to get some eucalyptus oil.

“This Bu eucalyptus oil.”

Then Rehan's mother rubbed Jihan's nose with eucalyptus oil. Jihan immediately woke up. His eyes opened slowly and he felt astonished to be in a large and magnificent house.

“I where is Bu?” asked Jihan in a weak tone.

“You are now in my house.

Said my son you passed out on the roadside so you were brought here by my son.”

Hearing the woman's words, Jihan immediately cried.

Then Siti helps Jihan to sit on the sofa and rests Jihan's body onto the sofa. Jihan looks very weak and not very strong.

“Where is your house, Jihan?” ask Rehan's mother again.

Hearing the question from the woman, Jihan came back crying.

“You really why Jihan? Why did you faint on the roadside?” ask Rehan's mother.

Jihan was confused as to what to answer. If she was straightforward, she was worried that the owner would throw her out so she had not answered the woman's question.

At that time Rehan appeared before them.

“You're conscious?” rehan asked as he watched Jihan closely.

“Thank you Om for helping me,” said Jihan slowly.

Seeing the condition of Jihan who was very weak helpless then her mother Rehan hunted Siti to get rice.

“Siti, there get rice first for Jihan.”

Siti went straight to the kitchen to get some rice for Jihan.

“Actually your house where Jihan, let me later drive home,” asked Rehan.

“Rehan, later only let Jihan eat and shower first,” said his mother Rehan.

Then Siti came with a plate of rice.

“Jihan, you eat first yes,” said Siti while giving a plate of rice.

Then Jihan immediately ate it because she was very hungry.

After finishing eating, Jihan was immediately told to take a bath by her mother Rehan. Rehan's mother is very kind and considerate of Jihan. He also gave her a change of clothes for Jihan.

“Try now you explain to your early mama you found Jihan.” Ask mother.

Rehan then told me about it.

When he came home from work and planned to pray to the mosque, he suddenly saw an unconscious woman on the side of the road near a large tree.

Because at that time no one passed by in that place so Rehan immediately took him to his house.

“Yes there is no. Mama thought that woman was your new lover, Rehan.”

Hearing her mother Rehan's words immediately laughed.

“Didn't Mama see that Jihan was helpless and her face was pale,” Rehan smiled.

“Mama can aja,” jawan Rehan with a thin smile.

Hearing her mother's words, Rehan could only smile. He did not expect it to turn out that his mother's thoughts were very far ahead. Meanwhile, Rehan is not thinking about women.

His heart still hurts when he remembers his divorce with Reva who was his ex-wife.

It has been five years that Rehan is widowed after divorcing his wife. His divorce occurred because his wife was fond of cheating even though the age of their marriage was not even a year.

Rehan immediately filed for divorce from his wife because he felt heartache for her betrayal.

“Mama wanted to have Rehan's grandson before she died.

You're my only child so only from you, I expect grandchildren. That's why you soon remarry,” explained Rehan's mother.

While telling the story, Jihan could not hold back her tears. Rehan and his mother feel sorry for Jihan.

“So what are your next plans Jihan?” ask Rehan's mother.

“Ngak know Mom, I am confused how to,” replied Jihan sadly.

Rehan and his mother fell silent for a moment thinking about the next plan.

“What if you go to Leo's family and hold the answer accountable,” Rehan said looking for a solution.

“But I don't want to switch beliefs Om. If I hold Leo accountable, Leo's parents will tell me to move on like Leo.

Let me live this child alone rather than having to change faith,” explained Jihan.

Rehan was silent. What Jihan said is true. Rehan has also been able to guess that Jihan holds Leo accountable for sure he will be forced to change his faith..
