Soldiers — For Remi

Soldiers — For Remi
Returnees

"Thank you, um," Oddy shook hands with Rival and got out of the car. Om Rival lowered the windshield of the car, waving his hand. Then the car drove off, leaving Oddy alone.

Oddy turned his back, facing the open school fence. Surprisingly, the large fence towards the school building itself was already closed. Oddy started to step up, entering the quiet school parking—except for a motorbike in the corner of the parking lot. He turned his head, finding Mudita sitting pensively at the security guard post; just a table of cement and ceramics, three dilapidated wooden chairs, and a pile of posters by alumni. A sneaky smile adorned his face. His hands were ready, his feet slipping towards Mudita. Just before he ambushed, Mudita looked back.

 "SNAKE!"

"ANJ—" Mudita's sentence was cut off, her body staggered backwards. "Ouch," he groaned softly, barely audible.

Oddy jumps over the security guard post desk, pulling both of Mudita's shoulders to help her stand up. His hand is getting harder. "What were you talking about?" his tone was low, his eyes staring intently at Mudita. The atmosphere between them instantly became tense.

Mudita gave a small smile, hoping it would improve the atmosphere. "You're lightening. The road home, huh?" his smile was ignored, his question was ignored. Oddy's gaze grew sharp, his grip tightly on both his shoulders. Mudita sighed, "Yes... I'm sorry. Not on purpose," he glanced over, staring at his girlfriend. Oddy just sighed, then sat down at the post desk. Not a second later, he lay down on the post desk. "It was just this...?"

Oddy closed his eyes, "No. Just the cursive dengerin Jack Waru," he stared at the dull roof of the post. "Keep right, I was taken to Dalem. It was small, where it was dark again. Suddenly, I kept saying; "You're different"."

 "...He gay?"

Oddy rolls over, facing Mudita. "Yes, at first I thought so. His body is like a gigolo. But he continued the story, "he then sat down. His hand reached into his kingpin shirt, taking out the dagger that om Sujana gave him. "Keep, I'm loved this!"

Mudita smiled widely, her hand reaching for the dagger. "You see!" before his hands could grasp the dagger sheath, Oddy raised his hands high. However, Mudita's struggle is not over. The girl stood at the post desk, trying to grab her dagger. Whatever the power, it's already short. "You're holding...!"

"Little kids can't play piso!" Oddy smiled, his hand pulling Mudita's arm. "Mending you holds Jo—"

"Ge," Mudita sat down, her hands crossed.

"Yes, no," Oddy lowered his hand. At once, Mudita took the dagger from her hand and ran. "Heh, manaling!" he just looked at her from a distance.

Mudita smiled widely, taking out the dagger from its sheath. His eyes sparkled, while Oddy stared at him sharply. A minute later, the girl brought the dagger back to its original owner. "Thank you" his hand gave him a dagger, but Oddy turned his face away.

"Ge," he sighed. "Piso is playing, the guy is being raped."

"Good wine, dong?" Mudita tries to cheer up. Oddy remained silent. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm curious, you know," he pulled his girlfriend's hand.

Oddy glanced, still with the same cold gaze. Instantly looking at Mudita's clear face, her heart melted. Oddy shook his head, patting the empty post desk next to him. "Kok, you blom home?" his hand received his dagger, while Mudita sat next to him.

"So nungguin mba Ilmi. He had just come home," his hand gave him a bottle of water, and then clutched his bag, which was much larger than his body.

Oddy received the bottle. "Don't miss me?" he gulped down the bottle until it ran out.

"Kangen, Iah," Mudita whispered. "Ep... Want to go home now?"

"Would you like to go home now?"

"Ngga, anyway... It's up to you."

Oddy sighed. "It's a habit really, girl," he moved his lips, repeating Mudita's words. "Chemical tirsirih."

 "Where else are you going?"

Oddy was silent for a moment. "Mablong, yuk."

Perhaps, you ask; what is Mablong?

Mablong, short for Mangga Bolong, is a place on the border between Depok and Jakarta. At first, it was abandoned. However, over time and increasing public awareness, it was repaired and now became a beautiful park. The road is given a path, planted with shady plants, even made a seat for visitors. The next project is to unite Setu Mangga Bolong and Setu Babakan.

As usual, Mudita and Oddy chose to sit on the edge of the lake, under a shady tree. Semerbak smell of swamp breeze terk—ya, maybe the aroma is not as good or as romantic in the film, but at least the scenery is decent.

"When is lent again?" mudita asked with a mouth full of tofu.

Oddy shrugged his shoulders, biting a combro. "Ngga knows. It will be repeated again."

 "Kok, there's no certainty, anyway?"

"You have no certainty either. But I'm loyal, right?"

"No, kok!" mudita exclaimed, puncturing the chewed tofu details.

"Eat first the real. Squirt right, ah," Oddy brushed off his arm. He finished his combronya, then took any fried food in plastic randomly.

Mudita sighed, "I can't wait to be classified as well."

"God, enter your heart the most."

"Yes, why did you enter the heart?"

"The heart of Waru is a mortal enemy."

"Related!" mudita exclaimed, her face irritated. "Where are you from?"

Oddy took Mudita's cell phone. His finger deftly tapped on the phone screen, then showed it to Mudita. "Noh, read it yourself," she held back a smile. "Anyway, if your ampe goes to the heart, we're done."

"That can be so!" Mudita kept reading all the articles. "Kok, I just found out, huh?"

"You know what, anyway? You, little boy!"

 "We're the same age, yes!"

"Udah no, hell, yeuu. I'm 17."

 "...It's a few months apart."

 "Count it a year, that's."

Mudita advances her lips, "Kitingnyi bidi sitihin, cf. Matt."

Oddy chuckled, "You songong now, yes," he bit the chirping taken. "Observe, nothing can be. Waru dong, serve the country!"

"Kan, Peace-loving hearts! Bayangin, if there is no Heart, there may be a 3rd World War!"

"Masa? Hmm," Oddy's teased. "Yes, no papa, do it! Ntar, I'm at Waru's front row. First, I decreed the leader of North Korea and Russia. Abis, we're allies. When they gave me weapons and resources, I betrayed. I took over their government, abis it—"

"You want to be your second Hitler?"

"Suuutt," Oddy glanced in all directions. "Hitler was actually dead blom, because.." he approached Mudita's ear, whispering. "I'm Hitler."

Mudita looked at him with a flat face. "But, boong."
