Chap 56 - Promise

"I was content to look at Julius' face in surprise." Honest Ox with naughtiness. Olive blushing in shame. He felt guilty about slapping someone else for the first time. Especially in front of a lot of people and it could be a very embarrassing thing for Julius.

"Please don't laugh at me sir." beg Olive by covering his face in embarrassment. Because he saw Ox kept laughing happily beside him. The man was broken. Like remembering a funny thing. 'Wait, do you think an incident of not wearing it is funny?' Olive thought with a strange Ox stare.

Ox nodded and tried to stop laughing. He's cleared his throat. Hugging Olive warmly. "Yes. Sorry, I'm so sweet."

Flashbacks

Plakk!!

"Don't embarrass my husband!" Said Olive in a loud voice. The reddened face held back tears after slapping the Prince hard in front of him. Everyone was silent because they saw that. The sound of that slap sounded loud. Almost all the guests looked at them in surprise.

Julius looked at him with an incredulous look. The prince was pecking with a pale face as he got a cynical look from some guests. Even though he was an honorable prince, maybe everyone was already upset about his behavior.

Ox stopped Olive who was about to slap him once more. Olive's hands trembled in fear. "M-mo! Wicked!"

"Hey hey, calm down sweet. I'm fine." Said the Ox King clasping his reddened hands. The slap caused a reddened scar on Olive's white hand and Prince Julius' cheek. That must have been a pretty loud slap. Olive sobbed, "Hiks she's bad to you."

The guests looked at him irritated, annoyed and angry at the prince Julius there. Many of the women who were now looking at him with whispers were painful for Julius. Some whispers were heard by him.

"Geez he's so mean to talk like that."

"Geez I want to hit him with my high shoes."

"Hey relax. He's a childish prince."

Olive's husband calmed her down by hugging her. Making Olive who sobbed shelter in the body of his field. He hugged Ox with a sob. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. Just like you did for me."

Oddity sounded. Ox stroked his mane warm. "No. I think you've tried your best. Thanks Olive."

"I love you sir."

"It's true to love you."

"Hmmm.."

"Don't try to stay away from me."

Exasperated, Ox pinched Olive's cheek as she looked up to Ox. He rubbed his wife's tears continuously. Although actually Olive was still sobbing and rubbing was of no use. The king did not try to let go. "Let's go home."

It just so happens that the night is getting late. Olive was still sobbing while clasping her hands. The Ox King pulled him a hug. "Hey baby. What you're crying about, I'm fine."

Olive looked at him. He sobs. It was so sad to see the queen look so fragile. His white face was now flushed with tears. "Master. Don't you think like that, do you? Hiks, I don't want to leave you. I love you no matter how you are, sir."

Oh my goodness, it was because of that. Ox chuckles. He's closing in on Olive. Briefly kissed her forehead to silence her cries. And true. Olive was instantly speechless with a reddened face despite just the brow kiss she gave.

The Ox King smiled. "I'll always love you and keep you mine Olive." His word. Olive flushed looking at him. He said briefly. "Promise?"

Ox hugged her back tightly. Now they look at each other. Smiles came back on their faces.

"Promise."
