The World Of Ruins

After returning from the dining room Evan went straight to his room to do his daily meditation session.

He did not plan to increase the number of heart rings but to improve his meditation technique to the next stage.

Evan's talent in magic should be considered as ordinary compared to his talent in the way of knights.

In 2 years of bitter training he can only make 2 heart rings according to which it is normal progress for any other magician.

According to the records of this era, evan's talent can be considered as one of the best though it cannot be compared to those from large noble families who focus on developing witches as the foundation of their families.

And another reason why Evan was able to go this far in his magic path was because of the Cloud Wind meditation technique he bought from the mysterious old man 2 years ago.

Even though he felt cheated for spending 2000 more gold coins to buy those two useless blank books, he still felt benefited from having gotten such a wonderful meditation technique.

Evan who was currently in a position to sit cross-legged on the bed began to enter a meditative state, suddenly above his head appeared an imaginary small white cloud that absorbed the surrounding mana very quickly, and it did not end there, above the small white cloud a whirlwind began to form slowly.

This signified that his Cloud Wind technique had reached the second stage of Whirlwind even though it was not perfect yet.

With the addition of a whirlwind that sucked mana like a vacuum, the absorption speed of the mana around became even faster.

After the mana around is absorbed by the clouds and the vortex of wind will then be flowed towards Evan's body slowly, the moment mana entered his body he began to guide mana to strengthen the two bright white-colored circles that encircled the heart in a cross position.

After getting the supply where the two rings of the heart begin to shine brightly and rotate slowly, but which is flowed into it is not absorbed into the ring of the heart, but scattered and disappeared into the air.

This shows that the two rings of the heart are in the stage of perfection and cannot be increased any further, the only option left is to form a new ring of the heart.

Evan who realized this did not stop meditating because the original goal was not to increase the number of his heart ring but to practice his meditation technique.

Moments later he stopped his daily meditation session and headed to the study room.

Despite having only basic magic runes and the simplest fireballs he had never stopped doing studies on runes for the past two years.

What surprised him was that even though these runes were the most basic of all and he had been teaching them for the past two years, still he was finding new and interesting things every day.

So therefore he never got bored in his studies of magic runes and this caused his understanding of runes to increase even more.

He even often tried to create new runes even though none of those experiments worked.

In addition to learning about runes he also learned about the world he lived in and the forces that stood at the top of this world.

Why is this world called a ruin ?

As he traced more about history it turned out that this world was called the World of Ruins because there were so many ruins of ancient times that were widespread throughout the world.

The ruins are the relics of an advanced civilization at that time, many versions circulate about why this powerful civilization was destroyed, some say because of natural disasters, some say, there are also those who say that because the endless greed of humans made the gods angry that they passed down divine punishment to that civilization, but all this was just a rumor, he said, no one knows the truth of how this civilization was destroyed.

There are 5 continents in the World of Ruins each separated by a vast ocean.

First is the Star continent which can also be referred to as the main continent because of its position in the middle and its size is much larger than the other continents, the continent is inhabited by many races and tribes such as Elves, Dwarves and others but it is still dominated by the human race.

Second was the Demon continent which was in the southern part of the star continent, this continent had the second largest size after the star continent, but most of its territory was uninhabitable because it had extremely cold temperatures, it was a very cold continent, legend has it that there was a sealed door connected to hell on this continent waiting for someone to remove the seal, therefore this continent was named the demon continent.

The third continent was the Great Tree continent located to the east of the star continent, called the Great Tree continent because almost the entire continent was filled with green and lush rainforests, which were very rich in water, and in the middle of the continent was a huge tree towering through the sky, this tree was the world tree, which the Elf race believed to be the origin of their birth.

The fourth continent is referred to as the Lava continent, this continent is located in the west of the Star continent, in this area there are many active Mount Merapi so that the inhabitants of this world began to name it the lava continent, the, the continent is dominated by the Dwarven race known for its skill in making armor and weapons.

The last continent was the Wild continent, so called because this continent was dominated by the Beastman race that had a savage and unruly personality.

Each continent has their own leader except the demon continent, which is meant by the leader is a certain organization or group that has the power and power to govern a part of the continent.

For example, the star continent currently has 5 supreme leaders namely the Light God Church, Azeroth Empire, Landover Empire, Silverash Family and the Raksa Tribe.

There were three reasons why the Silverash Family was included in the list of one of the highest leaders in the Star continent even though they were on the official royals list of the Azeroth Empire.

First, the Silverash family has more than enough military power to be able to rival one of the highest-ranking leaders on the list.

Second, the other supreme leaders did not wish to see the already extremely powerful Azeroth Empire have subordinates who were almost as powerful as them.

Thirdly, the Silverash Family had a vast domain of power, almost matching the empire itself.

With these three reasons the Silverash family was already more than qualified to become one of the highest leaders in the Star continent.

When Evan first learned about how strong his family was, he felt a little honored and proud to be part of this family, strengthening his determination not to be the next leader of the family.
