Chapter 4 Fired

"All right! Based on the decision after the meeting, we were forced to lay off 2 female employees, and 4 male employees namely, Mira, Sandra, Arif, Danang, and Bryan sir!" said Mr. Ranendra while closing the meeting that morning.

Like a typhoon in the calm of nature, like a thirst that gets drier without water, Bryan lunglai instantly. Her tears could no longer be blocked. Bryan lamented how unfortunate he was, especially if later his mother knew that he had been fired, surely their problems would be even greater.

When Bryan was still working alone, Siska always had the heart to insult Bryan and Zakia, especially later Siska bu knew when Bryan was fired from the company, no matter what disaster would happen later.

Bryan did not know what else to do, go home, of course he will be humiliated by his mother later. But if he doesn't come home, what about Zakia's fate? At this moment Zakia must be waiting for him.

Putting aside all the burdens of his mind, Bryan decided to go home. He cannot avoid trouble, however. As soon as he hides everything, it will be revealed as well. Bryan chose to face the problem with a big heart. Bryan immediately took his motorcycle and left the office where he had been making his living all along.

Fifteen minutes later, Bryan had reached their yard. Doubts were dashed in Bryan's heart when he would step home, imagining what would happen later. But the doubt was immediately he tepis, because at this time Bryan was in need of someone to pour out all his grief.

Bryan's premonition was right, just as he stepped into the house, his mother's disheveled and wry face glanced at him cynically, as if Bryan was a beggar who asked for donations by force.

"Now, we're home Bryan? What about meetings at the office? You're not fired, are you?" todong bu Siska when Bryan just got home.

"Have you come home? Let me get you some water for a second, Mas!" said Zakia while taking Bryan's work coat.

Miss Siska sneered at her son and daughter-in-law.

Not long after, Zakia had already come up with a glass of water and gave it to Bryan. Bryan immediately downed the endless drinking, even though only water but at least his thirst was gone.

"When you're done, get ready for lunch!" tell Miss Siska to Zakia.

"Well, Ma" replied Zakia obediently.

After that Zakia went straight to the kitchen, Bryan could not prevent his wife, because now he had nothing for me to defend Zakia. If he misspoke, his mother would get angry.

"Then I go to the room to clean up, Ma" said Bryan.

"As far as you go, Bryan. There is no point in talking to you anyway, my question is just that you ignore it" Siska said.

"Later I'll tell you everything, Ma" Bryan said. 

But Miss Siska doesn't care at all. Bryan immediately headed to his room to clean up and change the work clothes that today had to be rumored for an undetermined time. Bryan also needed a cold shower to calm his mind.

"Let's eat first, Mas!" take Zakia to Bryan who is lying down after bathing.

Zakia could feel that her husband was having problems.

"What's up, Mom? Why does it look so moody? Is there a problem at the office?" ask Zakia.

Bryan nodded and looked at his wife with a glazed net. 

"It's a problem I said this morning, Dek" Bryan said.

"The matter of meeting at the office, Mas?" ask Zakia.

Bryan nodded again.

"Tell me everything, Mas. Who knows if you will feel a little relieved!" Zakia said softly.

"I'm sorry, Deck! Because I haven't been able to bring happiness to you until now. It's just the daily suffering you feel in this house" Bryan said.

Zakia is convinced that Bryan is in deep trouble. Especially this morning Bryan said there was an impromptu meeting at the office.

"Why do you say that? I'll always be there for you, Mom. I'm your wife, Mas. Likes and sorrows will I live as long as the mas is always there for me. Don't say as if I were a stranger, Mas" said Zakia.

"You're a very good wife, Dek. I am the worst husband in the world. I am a husband who cannot please his wife. I promised never to give you grief, but I could not keep that promise. I suck!" bryan on himself. 

His tears were getting uncontrollable, the decay was already Bryan's defense. Zakia who still had not found the answer to all of Bryan's words, grew even more confused.

"Yes..."

"I am the most evil man, I have given you endless sorrow in your life. If you hadn't chosen me as your priest, maybe your life would have been happy by now, Dek." Bryan still blames fate for not siding with him. 

"Please don't say that, Mom. I chose mas as my husband and priest, because I purely loved my birth and inner being. Nothing can stand in the way of our destiny to be a match, Mas. Because God is the one who organizes every meeting of His servants. Do not deny destiny, it is not good, Mas!" Zakia tried to calm her husband who had almost lost his limit in speaking.

"But I never gave you happiness, Dek. Why do you still want to live with me?" ask Bryan.

"Because I am the soul mate God chose for me. I will always be there for you as long as you are destined to be together by the owner of this universe" Zakia replied honestly and sincerely.

"Mas is so grateful to have been given a wife like you, Dek. You're always there when you're down and need a backrest to complain" Bryan said.

"That's for sure, Mas. Whatever problems you face, tell me everything. I'll listen to everything, Mom!" Zakia tries to get Bryan to tell a story.

"As I said earlier, today was held an impromptu meeting by the CEO of the company who came from the central company. Because the company's condition is in crisis, so the company has a cleanup" Bryan explained.

"What's that cleansing, Mas?" ask Zakia.

"Everything, Deck. Starting from business checks, to the performance of the employees during this time," Bryan replied.

"Then what happened after that, Mom? ask Zakia. Leo seemed to be breathing heavily.

"Mas.. I'm fired, Dek!"

"WHAT? FIRED?"
