Shivaratri: Destroy the Darkness

Shivaratri: Destroy the Darkness
Chapter 1: Swastamita

Hoshs... Hoshs... Hoshs...

A young man, was running through the dense wilderness. Heedless of the wounds that hit his hands and feet. Although several times scratched by thorny plants, the young man continued to run among the thickets. The ruler of the light of the Kuwung does not seem to emit a meaningful light. The light seemed dim to be devoured by darkness. There was no sound of the rattling of the beasts, as if they were hiding from something terrible.

The sound of breath that was about to break out rang out loud between the silence of the night. The young man continued to run in no direction. Fear began to run through his mind. Until the sound of heavy steps began to approach. The heartbeat of the Youth is getting faster, his legs are no longer able to run. His feelings were mixed and when he looked back…..

Roaaarr!!!

Sraaat!!!

The young man rolled between the bushes. Feeling the pain in his chest. His eyes looked at the night sky that looked thick. The stars choose to be blind and deaf. Closing the door and hiding.

The distinctive red color of blood poured out from the wound on his chest. His name was Ganendra Abhirawa. A young man with a disability. His right hand was completely paralyzed and looked smaller than his left. His left hand pressed against the wound on the chest. Trying to stop the bleeding.

“What the hell is this?!!” yelled Ganendra who saw the apparition in front of him.

Right in front of Ganendra a large tall figure with wide rounded eyes protruded almost outward. Long hair. The long canine teeth with the tongue sticking out stared at him ferociously. His hands look like claws with long nails. On his chest was filled with densely growing feathers. The figure in front of it only uses a cawet to cover the bottom.*cawet: ************short.

A mysterious, monster-like figure stared at Ganendra with a sharp gaze.

Roaaar!!!! The monster's voice boomed.

Make the fur of Ganendra stand. Suddenly a monster hand swung towards Ganendra.

The sraat!!!

The monster's claw hit his arm. Ganendra was injured again. Fresh blood poured out of his wound. Ganendra's eyes were filled with fear. The monster was about to kill him.

“Si... Shit!!!” loud shouting.

He tried to get up. While pressing the wound on his chest or arm. Then ran as fast as possible away from the monster. The monster is chasing Ganendra. Fear began to envelop.

“Am I being punished now??? for being a fraud? Siaaallll!!!” again Ganendra could only scream.

Ganendra continued to run, breaking through the trees. Pass through the undergrowth. Avoiding the monster attack whose hands kept swinging was about to injure Ganendra. He really doesn't want to die. At least for now. The monster behind him continued to chase. When Ganendra tried to run, his feet stumbled on a rock. Making his body goosebumps and finally rolled down to the ground.

Ganendra grimaced in pain while holding onto his wound. Blood continued to flow nonstop. The young man tried to get up. However, right at that moment the Monster roared and jumped into the air. His claws prepared to plunge into Ganendra's body. He was truly afraid that the Death would hold him in eternity.

The sraat!!!

A head rolled to the ground. Signs detached from his body. Ganendra's eyes were slurred. Instantly touched his neck. Fear of having his head separated from his body. Apparently the one who was slashed was the head of the Monster. Right there, a black-robed person wearing a red mask was holding a sword covered in black-colored blood from a monster.

The black-robed figure was none other than Kalimakara. The mysterious figure that Ganendra met shortly before entering a strange place.

“Ka... you..” said Ganendra stammered towards a figure wearing a black robe.

The black-robed figure just kept silent and stood staring at Ganendra.

“Tem...what kind of place is this???!!!” ganendra asked half-shouting.

“Welcome, in the world of dungeons. A new world in a different dimension to yours. The world in the ancient era was called Swastamita.

“Swas...swastamita?” ganendra asked in confusion.

“Swastamita, a world where the sun disappears below the horizon line in the west in other words this world lies between light and dark. Another earth from your world.”

Ganendra was still staring in disbelief. He was in a new world that was very foreign to him.

“Remember our deal a moment ago. You and I have agreed. Binding spell is proof of our agreement.” Kalimakara said.

Ganendra regained his senses, his eyes glancing at a tattoo-like mark on his left hand. The tattoo is shaped like a chain bracelet. Ganendra's memories slowly drifted back a moment ago. Before entering the world called Swastamita.

Flashbacks

“Arghttttt!!!” yell Ganendra loudly.

His eyes are wide open. He touched his body. Ganendra recalled, he was hit by gunfire when pursued by security forces.

“Am I dead?” ask Ganendra to himself.

“No-no!!! I can't die! I don't want to die!!!” yells repeatedly.

“No need to shout that loud.” said a voice source.

Make Ganendra surprised. Right in front of him. A person wearing a mask and a black robe stood before him.

“Si... Who are you? Are you a grim reaper?” ask Ganendra.

Behind his mask, the mysterious person smiled faintly.

“My name is Kalimakara

*kalimakara

Ganendra was confused. There was a strange person standing in front of him. He looked around and there were only big trees. The atmosphere was silent, there was not a single sound of the animal's rattling. The dark place has almost no light. Wasn't he in a narrow alley in pursuit of the police? Why are you suddenly in this place. The question was only kept in his mind.

“La... Then what kind of place is this? am I dead?” asked Ganendra in a hoarse voice. He still wants to live.

“Take it easy, you're not dead yet. I'm the one who saved you.”

“Be? Am I really not dead?”

Ganendra pinched his own hand. It still hurts, which means he's not dead. A second later, there was a breath of relief from him.

But Kalimakara's voice stopped him.

“You can't just leave.”

Ganendra paused. Look back.

“Why can't I go?” asked Ganendra while scratching his head which was not itchy.

A sneaky smile expands behind a red wooden mask called the Kelana Mask.

*Kelana Kalimakara Mask

“I give you an interesting offer.”

Ganendra rubbed his nose. Stare lightly.

“I'm not interested.”

Then back to his feet relaxed.

“Sepeti full of gold pieces!” kalimakara said out loud.

Ganendra paused for a moment.

“I will give you a full piece of gold.” Kalimakara said.

His hand threw something towards Ganendra. Ganendra swiftly caught the object that Kalimakara threw. Ganendra's eyes instantly glared at what he had caught just now. A piece of pure gold. The light was quite dazzling in the midst of the dimness of the place.

“I... This?”

Ganendra half couldn't believe what he saw.

“I can give you a full piece of gold like that. You don't have to bother cheating anymore. Endanger your life and most importantly you can use it for your mother's medical expenses.”

Kalimakara made a tempting offer. Ganendra lowered his head and looked at the gold coin he was holding. His mind floated on his mother who was lying weak.

“Surely you didn't give me this for free, right? What should I do instead?” asked Ganendra with a serious face.

“Ha!Ha!Ha! it's easy, you just bring me Tirta Amerta.”

Ganendra scrunched his forehead.

“Ti..Tirta...Amrita said you?”

“Tirta Amerta.” error Kalimakara.

A look of confusion flashed on Ganendra's face. He rubbed his nose. There was a hint of doubt that suddenly ambushed him. Kalimakara seemed to be aware of the doubts of the young man before him. When the wind blows slowly. Right in front of Kalimakara there is a full sheet of gold coins. The light blinded Ganendra's eyes. Instantly Ganendra's mind was filled with greed. That many gold coins, he had never seen before. The price must not be comparable to the results of cheating at one time.

“Where can I find the Tirta Amerta you mentioned?”

Kalimakara. He was sure Ganendra would definitely agree to this attractive offer. He made use of the most basic human weaknesses. Strangled need of life. Kalimakara used it as a weapon to ensnare Ganendra.

“So we agreed?” ask Kalimakara.

Ganendra clasped the gold coins he got. Staring with a confident gaze towards Kalimakara.

“Atal.”

At the end of his sentence. A spell of ‘tie agreement’ engraved on Ganendra's left arm. Signs of an agreement between the two. The black robe that Kalimakara was wearing was fluttering rapidly. Miraculously in seconds. Ganendra moved somewhere. A darker and dreary place. Around it were huge trees towering. The leaves grow thickly. The moist smell of the air forced its way into Ganendra's nose. Moss grows burdened with lush. The aura of the place made anyone who was there would feel uncomfortable. There's only darkness covering this place.

The atmosphere was silent, there was no sound of forest beasts though. Ganendra stared at the question mark. Where is he? What kind of place did he go. Right in front of him, Kalimakara walked leisurely.

“Hey, what is this place?” asked Ganendra was struck by curiosity as well as fear.

How could in the blink of an eye he move to such a strange place again.

“This place is called ‘Alas Dandaka’ The darkest forest on earth.” Kalimakara replied without turning his head. He kept walking forward.

Ganendra followed from behind. A coldness began to pierce his bones. The fog became a friend on his journey.

“Be prepared!” suddenly Kalimakara shouted loudly.

Ganendra's eyes widened. In front of him was a gate. Shaped like a temple. In front of the gate there is a large human-shaped stone statue and armed with a mace.

The two stone statues are called Dwarapala. The Dungeon's gatekeeper. At a split second, the two stone statues reacted. They seem to wake up. His voice roared breaking the silence of the place.

“What the hell is this?!!!” ganendra shouted in a voice full of horror.

Kalimakara jumped high into the air. A black-colored sword appeared from his hand. Slashing one of Dwarapala's. Dwarapala roared like pain. Until a loud voice sounded.

“No one can enter this gate. If you don't want to die.”

Ganendra stared in horror at the sight before him. Is he in a dream world? It's like watching a game in a video game.

The Dwarapala Kalimakara slashed back to life. The rock that was split became whole again. Kalimakara. Kalimakara swiftly avoided. Jumping towards Ganendra. The young man was shocked, his collar clutched by Kalimakara. Without saying much, Kalimakara threw Ganendra into the wide open gate.

“Gyaaa!!!!” yell Ganendra toned.

Dwarapala tried to stop Ganendra by swinging the mace. Ganendra closed his eyes, horror haunted him. If until his body is destroyed hit by a stone mace belonging to Dwarapala. But Kalimakara slashed Dwarapala's hand. Then pulled Ganendra's body into the Dungeon's gate. Towards a new world. A completely different world from the other dungeon worlds. Not a world filled with technological sophistication or a world invaded by aliens. The world in the age of ancient civilization.

Pandora's box is open. A mystery shroud awaits Ganendra to be explored. Will Ganendra survive or even become prey in the new world.
