It has been almost 6 months Anjani lived at home at once in the country of people. In the past three months, Anjani had asked his employer for permission to go out and hand over some money while informing his family in the village.
His salary for 2 months must be cut to pay for his departure costs while in Jakarta. However, Madam Majikan did not allow Anjani to leave her house at all, she raised her own leg to send the money to Jakarta.
From here do not send, from there also do not know the address to send. Unsettled to work without news, Anjani wants to go home. He asked permission to go home. However, all he got was the anger of the Master.
In the past, Anjani got a bad feeling while working and found a news that stated that his lover would marry another woman. But now, that bad feeling never appeared again. All he was worried about was the news of his family.
Now, Anjani just resigned and no longer dare to ask something to his employer. If his desire is so great, Anjani could just run away from that house and go back to Indonesia. But he continued to work because the money he made was not enough.
"Hey, you! Wait!"
When Anjani was about to leave the kitchen, suddenly Madam Majikan called and approached him.
"What's the matter, ma'am?" Tanya Anjani was astonished to see the Employer walking while being aware of the circumstances around.
"Here, here," Madam Majikan led Anjani to the bathroom.
"Where to try, open your veil, I want to look at your hair." Speak to the Master in a quiet voice.
Every day Anjani always wears her veil. He never showed a strand of his hair in front of the family. It might make Madam Majikan feel curious and want to see it, Anjani immediately remove her hood and open her hair.
"Oh my God, how beautiful your hair is!"
Madam Majikan was surprised to see Anjani's long hair that was almost knee-length. Her black hair was slightly wavy and looked very beautiful.
"Hurry, hurry, put on your veil again, you'll be hunted when you come." Madam Employer panicked.
Anjani rolled back her hair. He did not understand what his mistress was talking about, but he immediately put his veil back on.
Not once did Anjani feel familiar with his Master Boss. He communicates more often with the Madam Employer. But, one night, in a room whose door was open, the Master was seen writing on a piece of paper. Anjani who was about to pass by was immediately called by the Master of his Master.
"Sir, come here for a moment" said Mr. Employer. Although Anjani was his assistant, but he never called Anjani with a rude or condescending term.
"Yes sir," Anjani immediately approached and went inside.
"Make me black coffee, and don't use too much sugar huh. Tonight I have to stay up late." Said Mr. Employer.
"Good sir."
Anjani immediately got out of the room and headed to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. Anjani did not know very well what the taste of his master's coffee was, but he still made it and immediately took it to the Master's room.
"This is sir, try it first." Anjani put his coffee on the table.
"Pas kok," said Mr. Employer after tasting his coffee.
"You want to flirt with my husband?! What do you know about your favorite coffee?! Usually my husband always asks me to make his coffee!"
Madam Majikan was angry and made Anjani bowed. Indeed, only this time Master Boss told him to make coffee. But he was not wrong and only obeyed the orders of the Master.
"Why are you quiet?!"
Madam Majikan snatched Anjani's veil right on the part of her hair. It made Anjani in pain and instantly made her heart flinch violently.
The corner of his eyes immediately let out tears. Anjani said nothing, she just cried without defending herself which was not wrong in the least.
Madam Majikan continued to try to force Anjani to make a confession, he slapped Anjani's cheek hard while trampling Anjani's toe with his sandal.
Anjani felt pain, in his head, cheeks, legs, especially in his chest that felt tight. With a single stomp, Anjani let go of Madam Majikan's hand and directly walked into her room with quick steps.
In this house, there was no one else he could ask for help other than his god. Anjani went into the bathroom in her room and immediately took the water.
Wearing a mukena and spreading prayer rugs, Anjani immediately performed the isya prayer service that he had not been able to do.
After the prayer, Anjani prayed for protection from his god. In his prayer, Anjani never forgets all the family members he left in his homeland.
Trying to calm himself, Anjani opened the Book of the Qur'an and read it in a soft and loud voice. Emotional turmoil was currently overflowing in his heart.
While working in the country, he was never treated like this. Anjani was very upset, but he was unable to fight, he also did not want to be fired from his job.
Unexpectedly, the sound of the chanting of the holy verse from the room Anjani up to the ears of Madam Majikan who is currently in the kitchen. He was surprised and immediately ran to call his two children to invite him to go to Anjani's room.
"What are you doing?!"
Hugging her two daughters, with a feeling of fear, Madam Majikan stood in the middle of the door of Anjani's room.
The holy verses Anjani continued to chant regardless of the question of his master. His voice was getting louder, the turmoil in his heart was more overflowing knowing that the Boss he hated was in his room.
Despite the hesitation, Madam Employer went inside with her two daughters.
"Stop! What are you doing?! You're reading me a favoritism huh?!"
In that country, there are many rumors that say that people who come from Indonesia have some kind of fighting power to harm others. Madam Majikan who knew that Anjani was from Indonesia felt afraid that she was in danger.
But Anjani was unstoppable, he did not turn his head at all and focused on the scriptures that were in front of him. Anjani did not think with his master, even though he was only reading the Qur'an, but his master did not know at all.
Fearful of being in Anjani's room, Madam Majikan and her two daughters fled the room. Anjani wondered, what exactly is the religion embraced by his master? He was never once seen doing worship performed by adherents of Islamic teachings, but sometimes he often said memorials that worship Allah, the god of Islam.
