Riding his favorite motorcycle, Adwi drove among the crowded traffic. Today he is going home, although only one month working out of town, but he has pocketed a considerable amount of money in his pocket. The souvenirs he bought were also in his bag which he carried in the back.
After several rides and rest on the streets, Adwi finally arrived in front of a large shop with the most advanced facilities and equipment in the village. There Adwi tries to ask Anjani.
"Mom, any word from Anjani?" Ask Adwi to the store owner, he is close to the owner and his employees.
Before leaving, Anjani had asked for the phone number of the store owner for a time to inform him.
In those days, technology was not as sophisticated as today, even the famous store owner only had a cable phone as a means of communication.
"No, maybe Neng sent a letter home." Replied the shop owner's mother, she did not get a call from Anjani this month at all.
Adwi passed from the store and immediately returned to his home. Unlike her old self, this time Adwi did not give a penny of her hard work outside the city. All he thinks of himself is working only for Laila and Anjani.
Her family welcomed her without a word of gratitude. They also did not expect any money from their children.
There was nothing he found there, so Adwi left his clothes and brought the fruits he had bought. Adwi set out to meet his son.
Arriving at Mother's house, Adwi asks Anjani first. But there he also did not find it.
The current state of Laila is still the same as before, with a feeling of affection, Adwi holds her son who has felt long left. His days were so quiet, he never again heard the sound of crying from his baby son.
In Adwi's lap, Laila looks calm and does not cry even though she has not seen her father's face for a long time. A bulging orange outfit with a small doll attached to it, Adwi wears it to Laila. The clothes he bought himself from out of town. The clothes looked fitting and made Laila even more beautiful. Some of the other suits are also still wrapped in plastic bags.
"Laila is still a child already possessed scribbles in the book, even though she is still one year old," said Mother felt proud.
On the table there is a book and a pencil, Adwi opens the book and sees what his son's work looks like. It is not a writing or a picture, just a random scribble that is on every page. But Adwi was happy, seeing his son has grown active.
"Every day Laila likes to buy milk bottles in the shop, the bottles have already piled up sacks. Wouldn't you mind if Laila was given that milk?"
The mother felt a little worried, considering that the milk packaging should not be given to children under the age of 5 years. But the sweet taste with the flavor of various fruits, make Laila feel addicted.
Laila who has been abandoned breastfeeding by her mother is not at all pleased with milk substitute formula. At the age of 1 year, he only wants food stalls like an adult child.
"Grandpa kali Mak, if Laila doyan eat it's good dong."
Feeling concerned about the state of Laila who still looks the same, Adwi intends to check back. Together with Mom, Adwi went to the nearest doctor.
On the rock road suddenly Adwi lost his balance and his bike almost fell to the side. Fortunately Adwi drove at a very low speed and the three did not suffer any injuries.
Right in front of them, there was a steep descent. The mother who was holding Laila decided to go on foot.
Walking through the derivative, Mum saw the road ahead that looks smooth. The intersection there is road access to the city, while the road that was just abandoned and did not get the attention of the local government.
Pay for medical expenses from a doctor near the corner is not as expensive in the city. Adwi returned to riding his motorcycle, taking Mom and Laila home.
Slowly and carefully, Adwi no longer wanted to harm the two passengers who were behind him. The streets were still steep, so desolate and filled with forests all around.
Once they were home safely, Adwi hoped, this was the last time Laila went to see a doctor. Adwi wants to see his son recover quickly, the pain of Laila also Adwi felt every day.
Leaving behind some money and food, Adwi leaves and permission to leave for work.
The next day, Adwi returns out of town to continue her work. Day became wishful thinking, night became a dream, Adwi who had not received a piece of news from his wife was always reminded of Anjani.
Anjani's words always come at night. As if, Anjani who was far away was reminding something before her sleep Adwi.
On the first night, Anjani said that she had turned into one life and one body with Adwi. While Anjani will continue to be beside Adwi.
Although the distance is separating them, but Adwi is sure that his sanitary is still attached and always accompany his days.
Two, three months passed and every month Adwi always came home to ask news of his wife and of course he also met his son, Laila.
None of the news is implied and heard by Adwi himself. Adwi is back for sustenance outside the city while continuing to expect at least one news about Anjani.
The shadows of the long black-haired beautiful woman always appeared in her delusion. When I first saw him Adwi really wanted to have it. With quick steps, Adwi immediately tied the woman up and managed to make her his wife.
In a house, a whole and harmonious family he hoped for. He did not want to be the same fate as his parents who had separated and chose to live with his new family. While Adwi was exiled and had begun to feel the bitterness of life at a young age.
Adwi hopes, with a good woman like Anjani, he will be very happy after all the pain he experienced since long ago happened to him. Anjani must be the answer to Adwi's happiness that God has long delayed.
