Chapter 3: The Meeting in the Darkness

Gabriel continued to gather information about Maxilian, effort after effort. Every clue he finds brings him closer to the true identity of the Shadow of Death. However, the mystery surrounding Maxilian was increasingly complex.

On a dark and silent night, Gabriel receives a secret message from someone claiming to know the truth about the Shadow of Death. The message contained instructions to meet at a remote place outside the city.

Carefully, Gabriel searched for the place and found an old hut hidden in the middle of a dense forest. With a tense breath, he stepped into the darkness.

Inside the hut, there was a burly man who greeted him with a faint smile. "Welcome, Gabriel. I know what you're looking for."

Gabriel was surprised. "Who are you? Do you know the true identity of the Shadow of Death?"

The man laughed softly. "I am Julien, a former colleague of Maxilian's. We used to work together, but now he is stepping into his own path. I see you as the only hope to stop the Shadow of Death."

Gabriel watched Julien's scarred face and eyes filled with sadness. "Tell me, Julien. Who is Maxilian? Why is he doing this?"

Julien took a deep breath. "Maxilian, he's not a bad guy. At first, he was a warrior of justice who tried to protect the helpless. However, the harsh life and suffering he experienced turned him into what we now know as the Shadow of Death."

"Imagine, Gabriel, if the only one you love is snatched away by the kingdom itself. If everything you have is taken by force. What are you gonna do? Maxilian turned into the Shadow of Death to take revenge for the loss she suffered."

Gabriel was amazed to hear this story. Does the Shadow of Death actually have a deeper motive? Is there any truth hidden behind his every act?

Julien continued, "Maxilian is a wounded man, Gabriel. He seeks justice in this cruel world, albeit through the wrong means. You are the only one who can help him find a way out of the darkness that holds him back."

In the silence of the old hut, Gabriel and Julien looked at each other. The two realize that they must work together to unravel the mystery involving Maxilian and the Shadow of Death.

Chapter 4: The Hidden Secrets

Gabriel and Julien embark on their quest to uncover the hidden secrets behind the Shadow of Death. Together, they wander through the dark alleys and investigate every trace left by Maxilian. However, the mystery is getting tapered, and they realize that there are other forces involved in this story.

They get a clue that leads to a remote ancient monastery. That said, there is a secret archive that can uncover the truth behind the Shadow of Death. Carefully, Gabriel and Julien sneak into the quiet monastery.

Inside the cloistered monastery, they found a hidden room filled with old books and paper scrolls. They spent hours studying every document available, searching for answers in the written ancient words.

Suddenly, they discover a secret note written by Maxilian himself. The record reveals the dark side of the kingdom that has been hidden from the public. Corruption, treason, and crimes involving high-ranking members of the kingdom.

Gabriel was dumbfounded reading every word in that note. Everything he thought about the Shadow of Death changed. Maxilian is not only a bloodthirsty beast, but a hero who defends justice wronged by corrupt forces.

As they searched further, a hidden door opened behind the bookshelf. They stepped into the deeper hidden space. There, they discover a mysterious altar with unfamiliar symbols.

Without them noticing, their presence was not missed. The shadow of Death itself appeared before them, wearing a terrifying black mask. "You have traveled a long way in search of the truth. But now, you have to pay the price for that knowledge" the Shadow of Death said in a pressurized voice.

Gabriel and Julien looked at each other with strong determination. They are ready to face the consequences of the truth they find. A fierce battle broke out in the hidden room, with their strength and skill tested to the limit.

However, as the fight rages on, Gabriel and Julien realize that there is more to come to light than they thought. The shadow of Death might not be the only enemy they had to face. There was a dark force hiding behind the curtain and controlling all of this.

Chapter 4 ends with high tension and an unfinished battle. Gabriel, Julien, and the Shadow of Death are caught up in an increasingly complicated and dangerous game of mystery. They have to separate facts from illusions, distinguish who they can trust and who they have to deal with. The secrets that are still hidden are waiting to be revealed, and the deeper truth continues to drift away as the mystery gets more complicated.
