"Aren't you papa?" ask Mr. Sofian who is aware of Ilyas' unusual movements.
"No papa, sir." Keep his lips beristighfar, until the voices of the masses that suddenly appear began to decrease. Ilyas is stabilizing again.
"Are you sure you're not papa?"
The man nodded, before taking a slow breath and exhaling it just as slowly.
"By the way, what's the fate of the thief, sir?" Ilyas asked as his condition calmed down.
"What to ask? Obviously he was taken to the police station."
"But not to be judged, right?" asking with fear
"I don't know, it could be..."
"Astaghfirullah al'azim" murmured Ilyas.
"What's the worry about a thief hurting you?"
Ilyas shook his head slowly. "Islam doesn't teach us to repay bad deeds with bad ones either, sir. Al Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Talib died in the poison. He forgave the person who poisoned him. Similarly, Al Husayn bin Ali bin Abi Talib who also forgave Sinan bin Anas bin Amr Nakhai who had slit his throat until it broke."
Mr. Sofian was stunned, Ilyas' words really struck him at this moment.
"Anyway there is still a law that is more entitled to judge, rather than having to dirty its own hands. And if the perpetrator dies because he is judged. The punishment of the thief may have been given in the world, and the man was clean facing the khalik. While we are still on earth? It may be a different fate. Because we killed him with lust, sir."
This middle-aged man was still silent in his own thoughts. While the ears listen.
"Not to mention, whether it can guarantee we will admit wrongdoing and repent for having been a vigilante to cause a human to lose his life. On the contrary, it could be just satisfaction present, not guilt. And we don't know what makes the thief's reason for stealing."
"In that case, why shouldn't you just let the thief carry my wife's motorcycle? Than harming yourself?"
Ilyas smiles. "Defending property also includes jihad. And again, at first I didn't know he had a knife, sir. When I closed the fence, the position of the thief was already riding a motorcycle owned by Bu Sofian. So, I was just trying to prevent it as a last resort to defend the property of the father who will be taken away by the thief."
Mr. Sofian fell silent again, his mind permeated what the bespectacled man said without refuting or just responding with the movement of part of his body.
Since the dawn prayer had already passed for more than ten minutes, the man hurriedly asked for permission to go to the mosque. Along with that, Mr. Sofian also rose. Because all the administration has been taken care of. They can go straight back home.

Throughout the trip, Mr. Sofian did not speak. Focus on looking at the road with a dim atmosphere. The man next to her occasionally closed his eyes due to drowsiness. Sofian let out a long sigh that made Ilyas open his eyes again.
"I'm sorry, Son," he said softly without looking at the man next door. "Boy is actually ashamed of you."
Ilyas blinked his eyes, slowly closing and re-opening.
"For a few minutes of pondering, I was thinking about one thing. I hurt you with hurtful words. And even this hand— has lightly hit your face. Why don't you hate me, Father? And you should have shaved Father, not even howled up like this."
"Safian, please don't talk like that. Wallahi, I have never had any hatred for you" replied Ilyas feeling unwell.
Ibn and Abaz, who were sitting in the cabin, looked at each other for a while and looked down. Several times they also had to be nagged without cause due to the heartache of Mr. Sofian who never subsided against their eldest brother.
"I'm sorry about the two of you too, huh? Father is very bad, often angry with you. Though you guys are not wrong but so often get my stress release."
"Ka–we never thought of anything, sir. We also realize that you are angry because of our mistakes, too" Ibn chimed in.
"MashaAllah, your parents are really good at educating you to this extent" he said with tears in his eyes. Both hands were busy steering. "Now say, Son Ilyas. What do I need to give you to replace everything..."
"No need, sir," answered Ilyas.
"Don't do that, I have to make amends. I realized that what happened was because I was unwise when I behaved."
"But, here I also contribute, sir. I am also guilty of playing with your kindness. I hurt Fatimah." said Ilyas.
"No, son Ilyas. Everyone has the right to choose a life partner as desired. I should have understood. Given that even if I were in your position, I would probably do the same. When the heart has another heart. Please forgive me, will you? Let's fix everything. You want to forgive me, and get back on good terms?"
"MashaAllah–" muttered Ilyas with a smile. His mind was relieved now, many times he spoke his hamdalah without a sound. "I never considered our neighborly relationship to be bad, sir. I never held any grudges. I feel all right."
"But, I once hit you, son Ilyas."
Ilyas smiles. "I forgave you that day."
"Yes Allah–" Mr. Sofian increasingly moaned because of shame and regret. One hand rubbed Ilyas' head. "O Allah, a misfortune when a righteous man like you is not my daughter-in-law. But I realize I don't deserve you."
"That's right, you can't talk like that, sir. I still consider Mr. Sofian to be my family. All the kindness of my Mom and Dad was too much for me. So is it worth it, just because of one mistake I forget all the other good?"
"Allahs... Allahs... Hopefully after this, our relationship will be much better. And the closer we get to our families"
"Aamiin.." the three of them answered almost simultaneously.
On his swab again the head of the man next door. Ilyas was pleased. Contained good wisdom behind a calamity, that is what he caught today.
Sofian himself was unable to speak anymore. Now hate has turned into love. Mr. Sofian really put his admiration on this bespectacled man. In fact, he was determined to give something useful to Ilyas as a token of gratitude.

# Note: Rosulullah Saw always teaches us not to take revenge for the treatment of others who may often stifle the chest. Even if it was on his own toughest enemy.
Because, igniting revenge will actually foster other grudges as well. Which leads to a loss of common sense
It is often found around us, when our intention is present to avenge the bad treatment. It will cause another spark. The hostility will never end. Because each other will consider themselves victims, not the perpetrators of the dzolim themselves.
That is why we as Muslims can model the behavior of Rosulullah Saw and his friends. Where an apology done for the sake of Allah, without having to discuss it again to others for the rest of his life, will give light and guidance to the person.
