Zain walked down the hospital hallway with his wife's favorite bouquet of white roses in hand. While Barra the assistant walked behind him with a paper bag containing food orders Ny. Amara.
After hearing from his mother that his wife was conscious and more stable, Zain immediately finished his business with the client he met. And rushed to the hospital to see his little girl.
Zain halted his steps in front of Zahra's bedroom door, hesitating a little to get into it, afraid that his wife was still not ready to meet him.
Zain took a deep breath and threw it away slowly. Slowly his hand knocked on the door in front of him.
Geck! Geck! Geck!
“You've arrived, Zain?” ask Ny. Amara who appeared from behind the door.
“Hmm, can I come in, Mom?” asked Zain doubtfully.
“Wait a minute, mommy talked to Zahra first huh. Wait here, don't log in yet!” firmly Mrs. Amara then went back into the room and deliberately left the door of the room slightly open.
Zain stood at the door stealing his mother's conversation with his wife in the room. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Amara went back to Zain and told him to come in.
“Come, Zain. But remember, if Zahra feels uncomfortable with your presence, don't be forced!” firmly Mrs. Amara.
Mrs. Amara did not want the incident this morning to repeat itself, but on the other hand Mrs. Amara felt sorry to see her son tormented by being separated from his wife.
“I'm not going to the office, you go back to the office!” zain's orders to Barra.
“Good, Mr.” Barra lowered her head a sign of respect then handed the paper bag in her hand to her young master.
“Be careful,” says Ny. Amara.
Now Ms. Amara became more friendly towards Barra, he no longer made Barra an outlet whenever he was upset with his son.
Barra twisted her body and stepped away from the place after confirming the young master and Ny. Amara went into Zahra's nursery.
“Honey,” call Ny. Amara and approached her daughter-in-law who was sitting on the bed while leaning her body.
Zahra raised her face and instantly her face was a little tense from seeing her husband standing at the door. She had prepared herself to allow her husband into the room, but apparently her body could not be invited to work together.
“Are you okay, Darling?” ask Ny. Amara noticed the change in her daughter-in-law's face.
Zahra remained silent, her eyes staring at her husband without blinking. While Zain was confused what to do, so he chose to remain silent in his position.
“Sayang ..” Mrs. Amara clasped her daughter-in-law's hand and made Zahra turn to look at her.
Mrs. Amara nodded her head. “It’s okay .. no problem,” said Ny. Amara calms Zahra down.
Zahra looked back at her unmoved husband. Her eyes saw a bouquet of roses in her husband's hands making a smile from Zahra's lips.
Zain followed his wife's gaze and raised his eyebrows. “You want this?”
Zahra nodded her head with sparkling eyes, but only a glance.
“Stop!” she cried because she saw her husband who was about to step towards her.
Zain and Mrs. Amara felt a little tense, afraid that Zahra would return to tantrum.
“You don't want me here?” ask Zain slowly.
“Bu-not so, Tu-tuan.” Zahra answered her husband's question.
“Then?”
“Em, a-I ..”
“I won't hurt you, Zahra. Don't be afraid, okay!” zain's orders however were still in a slightly low voice.
“Sorry,” shimmies Zahra then bows her head.
“Do not apologize, you are innocent, Zahra.” Zain walked over to the sofa and placed the paper bag on the table and approached his wife.
“Ma-sorry, Mr. ..” Og Zahra still lowered her head, not realizing that her husband was standing next to her safe.
“Thanks to your head, I am not your master, Zahra.”
Zahra reflexively raised her head because her husband's voice sounded so close to her ear.
Zain raised his hand wanting to touch his wife's head but was quickly brushed aside by Zahra. Actually Zain did not have the heart to see the pale face of Zahra, but he also did not want Zahra always confined in his fear.
“Hai, relax, look at me! Don't panic, okay.” Zain calmed his wife gently.
Mrs. Amara just silently observed the interaction between a married couple in front of her. He was both astonished and grateful for the change in his son's attitude.
While Zain himself also felt astonished, why he could be this calm and gentle in front of his wife, very inversely proportional to his cold and cruel nature first.
“Quiet ... quiet Zahra, don't panic, okay!” reset Zain.
Zain, who saw his wife's relaxed face, stretched out his hand to touch her head.
“Good girl, keep calm spoiled girl,” praise Zain after successfully making his wife not to pull her big hand off Zahra's head.
Zahra slowly calmed down and got used to the rubbing of her husband's hand on her head, yet there was still a hint of anxiety in her heart.
“A-pa flowers it for me?” asked Zahra in a soft voice.
Zain gave the bouquet of roses in his hand directly onto his wife's lap, leaving Zahra to tiptoe in shock.
“Sorry,” said Zain regretted making his wife surprised.
“It's okay, Mr.”
“Ck! I told you I'm not your master, Zahra.” Zain clucked because his wife still called him master.
“Sorry,” Og Zahra.
“Already, can I sit here?” Zain pointed at the edge of the bed.
Without waiting for the approval of his wife Zain immediately sat in but a bed. Again his actions made Zahra's body tiptoed in shock.
“Zain!” reprimand Ny. Amara who felt sorry to see her daughter-in-law bullied by her son.
“That mommy order food is on the table,” Zain said without turning to his mother, even ignoring the reprimand from her.
Zain sat down to his wife. Zain stared fixedly at the face that he had only been able to see from the screen of his phone, now it was really real in front of his eyes. While Zahra who was stared at only lowered her head.
“Did you really like that rose?”
Zahra nodded her head slowly.
“I know roses are beautiful, but is your husband unattractive in your eyes?”
Zahra raised her face and knitted her brows in confusion. “What do you mean, Mister?”
Zain placed his index finger right in front of his wife's lips, instantly making Zahra's body stiffen.
“A-what did Master do?” ask Zahra.
“I told you not to call master!” annoyed Zain then pulled back his hand because he saw the tense face of his wife.
“Sorry.”
“Zain!” exclaims Ny. Amara sat on the couch. “Enough, don't disturb mommy's daughter-in-law!”
“She's my wife, Mom. I-” Zain stopped her speech for getting a sharp look from her mother.
“Huft!” Zain let out a rough breath and turned his body back towards his wife.
When Zahra was putting her bouquet of roses on the nightstand, Zain suddenly pulled Zahra's hand because he accidentally saw Zahra's upraised sleeve and showed a wound on her tag.
“Hand of you why?”
“It's okay. I'm fine!” ketus Zahra then pulled her hand from her husband's grasp.
Zain looked at his wife's face, which kept on riddling with the cause of the wounds on her body.
‘I'll find out all about you, little girl.’
