02 Relationship Gaps (1)

"Jens yeah, I've never heard of a character named that in a novel. Is it because Jens never met the main characters huh?"

Jens took a breath, muttering all day making some of the workers who caught him on the second-floor balcony of the Guild think that his brain was out of his mind after he fell into a coma a few days ago.

It would make no sense if he got into the world of novels.

He tapped his finger at the fence, the bustling streets of Vall were faintly visible as he used a black cloth blindfold. The long morning air he did not breathe, and quiet voices filled his hearing.

"Or maybe because Jens never existed?"

It could be, he is a person who is not from this world reborn without memory. The problem is, he remembers his past. Jens remembers very well if his world was a novel that his brother wrote, his brother who might also be reincarnated into this world.

His priority was to look for the whereabouts of his brother, he had many suitable candidates when compared to his brother.

Jens has a lot of guesses.

The problem is, whether the guess is right or wrong no one knows the answer. For now Jens is facing a dead end.

"Jens" a voice made him look over. The leader of the knight division, Taram smiled widely as soon as he entered and patted his still bandaged shoulder without any guilt. "Chairman Hans called you."

'****.'

The news he brought made the mood tangle like the lion hair Taram had.

"For what?" ask Jens.

"LET YOU REST AND NOT SEDUCE THE WOMEN IN HAHAHA'S SERVANT DIVISION."

Seeing that blatant laughter, Taram laughed at the sufferer who was about to meet the Chairman of Alice's House. His big arms run down Jens' back neck, making the boy who had not yet fully entered adulthood step on Taram's feet to commemorate.

"Don't flirt don't flirt, they're the only ones who are fascinated by me" lamented Jens, he tidied his black hair that had been ruffled by Taram. "Go find a lover there, Hilds would be happy if she had a daughter-in-law."

"Don't talk about my father, he'd rather I train my pretty muscles."

"Women are afraid of muscular men," Jens complained, imagining being hugged by Taram's burly arms giving him goosebumps. Taram's stupid face was the thing he later saw. "Just a few, I'll go first."

Jens climbed the steps to reach the third floor, a special room for the Chairman of Alice's House to work. If not mistakenly remember the last time he met with the chairman was 4 months ago while receiving a mission at the border.

The mission, which he says endangers lives but only ends up carrying Mr. Delvon's beloved cat, the Witch Division Leader, who he says will go on a rampage if his beloved cat, Betty, does not return.

"It's me, Jens."

"Lake in."

He opened the door, the glasses guy he could see faintly from behind the blindfold. The Chief looked up after putting down the paper, the purple eyes of the Chief looked at Jens' bandaged hand.

"You're being temporarily dismissed."

"Huh? wait this old man is unfair, I just hurt a little bit and can still do this that. How can you fire one of your talented employees even if only temporarily?!" Jens kicked the table.

Hans, a man in his late 30s, looked back at Jens.

"Take your temperament," he thrust out a murky-colored paper.

Jens read the contents of the message asking that he as a guild member be temporarily dismissed until completely recovered. The name on the letter is the one he knows.

Noel, a fairly talented young member of the magician division, is also the one who caused him to fall into a coma.

"What the fuck is-"

"That's a request, I sort out and approve the request of the people who need our services." Hans saw the look on Jens's face, the boy read the paper and started to smile cunningly. "Don't think about making a request for me to cancel this one."

"Damn, this is discrimination!"

Hans did not listen to Jens's enticement, he pushed a bag full of gold coins. "Then this is for you."

"Are you good at giving a salary or even a bonus?"

"It's from Miss Kailen's family."

"He didn't see me in person?"

One of the things he worries about when he wakes up from a coma is the fact that Ivyna Kailen, the novel's antagonist becomes his best friend.

She is nauseous, considering Ivyna's tragic ending makes her feel cassian. There was nothing wrong with Ivyna, really, Jens had known her from childhood and there were no signs of moral deviation from Ivyna as described in her novel story.

The Ivyna he knew was always attentive, always treating his wounds and occasionally nagging out of worry. Therefore, Ivyna did not deserve to die as in the novel. Jens wants Ivyna free to go and has plenty of options to choose her own.

Because Ivyna's her best friend.

He must protect his precious things.

"Jens, after this please persuade Noel to work and have Delvon meet me."

"Yes Sir."

.

"Mr Delvon, the old man called you."

The old witch dressed in a black robe with the embroidery of the guild's signature spade card turned her head, she picked up the gadin-colored paper that Jens had given her with a sizable smile. He saw paper and someone who covered his entire body with a blanket.

"Son Jens, I'm leaving. Please make sure Noel works hard."

"certain."

The old witch walked past Jens to the exit.

Jens throws his attention to the contents of the witch's dormitory, there should be three beds in each dormitory, but in this room only one bed is now occupied by someone.

Someone who is curled up.

Jens found a faint vibration from within the velvet blanket.

"Noel, I don't want to count to three."

The vibration from the blanket was visible, this time a figure came out from the blanket that was wrapped like a cocoon.

Hair and eye color are similar gray burn scars. Pale skin, and disheveled clothing. Noel gulped nervously as he looked at Jens.

"Good, please see Old Man."

Jens pulled up the blanket and folded neatly, he also took out a magician robe and handed it to Noel whose eyes instead showed a deep sense of guilt.

"What?"

"Please forgive me."

Jens tau, the cause of one of Jens' fatal incidents of not being able to wield a sword for a while is this witch. Not knowing for what reason, that day Noel's magic energy got out of control and collided with Jens' body, causing a rejection reaction.

"Can I ask you something? after that I'll consider your guilt valid."

"I will do whatever Sir Jens asks!"

The sparkles in both of Noel's gray eyes were clearly visible. The young witch several years older than Jens wore a robe and stood up as if to grant him a request.

"Make me a cat."
