CHAPTER 17: CLARISA VS JANE

Dahlia picked up the phone and dialed her son's number. However, Radit's cell phone could not be reached making Dahlia even more angry. Dahlia is upset and leaves Jenny sitting weakly on the floor of the apartment.

Jenny stared at the passing of her mother-in-law. His lips were sighing to speak in defense of himself. Let him be bad in the eyes of his father-in-law. Tidal is something else he can cover. Her marriage to Radit made her life miserable.

Meanwhile, Clarisa who received a phone call from her husband decided to meet him because Cristian wanted to take him to lunch and wanted to talk to him about something important.

Clarisa left alone to her husband's company without being accompanied by Sarah. Sarah is currently on a mission given by Clarisa.

At Mahendra Group's company, Cristian seemed busy reading the company's financial statements. He wanted to make sure everything was okay and there was no cheating in his father's company.

"I want you to investigate the company's financial statements, I think something's wrong with this report." His orders to his assistant Gery.

"The Abraham Group Company filed for Mr's cooperation." Gery.

"Had expected, they would definitely propose cooperation, Jane and Adnan's relationship is no more because of the cooperation relationship between the company, I'm sure the woman is not sincerely like Adnan and has a hidden intention."

"I'll investigate, sir."

"I'll accept the company's cooperation and you know what to do next."

"Good sir."

"I've been investigating about Mr. Alvaro, Mr. Alvaro has just met Miss Clarisa's family lawyer and it looks like his plan to take control of Ms. Clarisa's estate for the time being has failed, sir, they'll wait until a month after the police stop the search for Ms. Clarisa's disappearance." Gery conveys information he knows.

"Good, I want my wife's plans to fail, you know what you're gonna do next."

Time rolled by so quickly, the staff left the company to fill their hungry stomachs and re-collect energy. Because lunch time has arrived.

Meanwhile, Jane comes to the company, of course to meet her fiance Adnan Mahendra. The staff escorted Jane to Adnan's room, which was next to Cristian's. Jane paused for a moment and stood staring at the sign on the door of Cristian's room.

"Mr Adnan's room is over there, miss, let me take it!" The woman's staff said softly as she saw Jane just standing around in front of Cristian's room thinking of something.

"Thank you for driving me, you go, I'll come in later." He said to the female staff in a friendly manner. Of course his friendly attitude was just a fake.

"But miss-"

"Didn't you hear what I said?" Jerky Jane. He felt annoyed as he stared at Cristian's room and vented his frustration at the female staff who escorted him.

"Nice, miss." The woman's staff left Jane upset that Jane had suddenly snapped at her.

Jane walks into Cristian's room and finds Cristian and Gery talking seriously.

"What are you doing here, Miss Jane?" Gery asked, surprised why Jane was suddenly in this room. Her thought.

"I'm sorry to bother you, sister-in-law, I came to see my daughter, but I think I went in this room wrong, I'm sorry brother-in-law." Her speech.

"Can't you read miss, on the doorstep it's clearly written Mr. Cristian's name." Said Gery annoyed with a woman who is pretentious like Jane.

"Am I wrong if I want to meet with my sister-in-law? has my sister-in-law had lunch?" Ask with a stained face. He does not care about Gery's words that sound insulting to him. Jane just glared at Gery with a look of hate.

Cristian just stared off Jane and returned to focus staring at the leptop screen in front of her. Jane who wanted to walk closer to Cristian suddenly stopped when Cristian looked back at her with a sharp gaze made Jane's guts grow shrivel. Cristian knew the woman in front of him right now had a certain intent.

"I'm waiting for my wife, you go and meet your fiancee, Gery take her to my sister's room." Cristian's orders are still so soft.

"Good sir."

"Let me take you to Mr. Adnan's room!"

"He's even more handsome than my fiancee and he's richer than Adnan, I'll do whatever it takes to get close to him." Inner Jane.

Gery opened the door. It felt like Gery was dragging the shameless woman out of her master's room. He had gone into the room without permission first. Jane and Cristain's relationship is not close so Jane must be free to enter Cristian's room just like that.

And at the same time Clarisa had just arrived with the female staff who had taken Jane. Clarisa is shocked when Gery and Jane step out of her husband's room.

"What are you doing in my husband's room sister-in-law?"

Clarisa's gaze stared annoyedly at Jane. The two stared at each other with dislike eyes. Meanwhile, the female Staff who was behind Clarisa lowered their head with trembling hands as Gery looked at her with a sharp gaze. He had done a great mistake letting people enter Cristian's room just like that without making an appointment first.

"Hopefully I wasn't fired today." His inner.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that this is my sister-in-law's room, I thought this was my lover's room, I'm sorry, yeah." His words were interspersed with small laughter.

"Do you want to have lunch together? What if we had lunch together, it would be so much fun?" Jane asked with a faint smile on her lips. He saw the paper bag in Clarisa's hand.

"Thank you for your sister-in-law's offer, I don't think it's necessary." Clarisa smiled faintly at Jane who looked annoyed because she deliberately refused his invitation.

"Take Miss Jane into the room she's supposed to." Gery's orders to the woman's staff.

"No need, I can be alone, you guys think I don't know where my lover's room is." Jane passed towards Adnan's room with a feeling of annoyance.

"Come on, miss, Mr. Cristian is waiting for you." Gery opens the door and lets Clarisa in.

"You know what your mistake was?" Gery asked the female staff who were still standing with their knees shaking.

"I'm sorry sir, please don't fire me, I won't make any more mistakes." Her request.

"I'll cut your pay this month, you've made a big mistake."

"And from now on, I don't want that woman to enter Mr. Cristian's room again, do you understand?"

"Okay, thank you."

The female staff passed by leaving Gery still standing silently staring at her. He was grateful that he was not fired.

Cristian who saw the arrival of his wife immediately closed his leptop and approached him. He sat down on the sofa with Clarisa.

"I brought you lunch." Clarisa placed the paper bag on the table and took out the food box.

"Did you cook it yourself?" Cristian asked with a smile on his lips.

"I cooked it as a thank you, I hope you'll like it."

Degggm......

His heart thumped when he found out that his wife was cooking lunch for him. This is the first time he will eat food made by his wife.

"Hopefully he likes it." Inner Clarisa.

Cristian stared at the food that was stirring up his taste. His stomach was very hungry. He began to put food into his mouth and began to feel the taste of his wife's homemade food.

"Truly delicious, it's the most delicious meal I've ever eaten, you're really good at cooking, baby." Compliments just popped out of his lips. He unknowingly uttered the word "Honey" at the end of his sentence.

Clarisa's heart is beating faster. Hearing Cristian praise his cooking made his face glow red. Her heart was happy when she saw her husband enjoying his cooking. His feelings flowered when he heard Cristian calling him "honey" when they were both really his heart was growing fast.
