At 9 a.m., Adeela and Justin were neat in black suits. Justin was wearing a black suit. Adeela also wears a black robe combined with a cream-colored hijab that covers the chest. The plan is today they will come somewhere. Her husband did not tell her where they were headed today. Adeela was also very curious.
Adeela held Arka and Justin held Chila who had been playing her tie. Her daughter is very active and spoiled.
Mommy, Papi and Grandma were already waiting in the living room with forced smiles. Although Adeela saw the three smiling, yet somehow their smiles were very different today. It was like there was sadness behind it. It was not usual for them to show such a face. Usually, every morning the house will be filled with happiness and smiles from all family members as they greet each other. But this morning, it was very different. Adeela watched Mommy's eyes as if she was crying. This isn't the first time he's seen Mommy like this. This was the second time he had seen such a cheerful Mommy could be like this.
Justin and Adeela gave their children to both parents.
Justin stroked his two sons' hair. In his eyes Mommy and Papi alternately and without saying a word. They just look at each other. And with a single nod, Justin also cut off contact with his parents.
"We're in a cage first, yes, Mi, Pi, Grandma!" Pamphitt.
"Yes, Son. You guys be careful on the road!" Answer Papi
After saying goodbye to everyone and making sure their children were calm, the two set off for their destination.
Along the way, it is only filled with the sound of the roar of the car. Unusually, her husband was silent like that. Justin only answered occasionally his words briefly.
An hour or so both were in the car. I don't know where her husband's taking her.
"Until now!" Said her husband, taking off his seatbelt. Justin leaned back for a moment and looked ahead. Adeela watched the place they were headed to. Funeral. Why did her husband bring her to this place? whose graves they will go to.
"Who do we want to go on pilgrimage to whose grave, Mas?" Ask Adeela in the end.
"Later to tell! Now mending us down. I'll introduce you to the guy inside."
Adeela frowned hearing her husband's words. About who they will visit. Do not-don't, they will meet with the late Alinda. The first wife of her husband who had returned to Mercy. Oh, maybe it's time for her husband to introduce her to his late wife.
The platoon roads they pass. A beautiful and well-organized funeral. Justin walked in front, while Adeela was busy looking around at the grave he passed. Until finally, Justin stopped in front of a white tomb on which the tombstone inscribed the name 'Jolene Airlangga Prawiryo'. Adeela digested what she saw in front of her. The name written on the tombstone turned out to have the same clan as her husband. Her date of birth is exactly the date of her husband's birth. And the date of death that he saw today on that tombstone, right on this day.
There were so many questions in his brain. So all this time...
Adeela stopped her hypothesis and squatted down with her husband. Justin touched the tombstone in front of him and slowly his head he bowed staring at the navel named 'Jolene'. A long breath came out of her husband's mouth.
"Jo, forgive brother who just came now nengokin you. Now brother comes with his wife brother. He's kind, loyal and can be invited to meet." Adeela shook her head at her husband's words. "I'm sorry that brother... The point is forgive brother. If you were there, you might still be here!" Justin stopped his words and lowered his head even more. From the side, Adeela can see Justin shed tears but his voice is still able to hold and not vibrate. The right hand that touched the tombstone, has now been clenched on top of the headstone.
"Jo, Mommy nitip message you. He said, Mommy apologizes for being wrong all this time for your departure. Should have been a long time ago, Mommy sincerely you. Mommy...just don't sincerely go this way!" Justin's tears were pouring down his face. But with all his might he bowed. Trying not to let his wife see him weak like this.
"Now Mommy already has your twin, he said." Justin laughed in his tears. "Mommy has a granddaughter who looks just like you! He's a kid, Brother. Arshila, chila's sister! The presence of Chila and Arka in Mommy's life, Mommy's heartache slowly subsides, Jo!"
"The bottom line is, Mommy can now sincerely you, Jo. I hope you are happy there!"
After saying that, Justin threw his face to the side and wiped away the tears rushing down his face. Adeela, who did not know about what had happened so that the woman named 'Jolene' was gone, also felt the pain of seeing all the words of her husband.
After praying for the deceased, Adeela and Justin walked back to their parked vehicles on the side of the road.
Adeela and Justin put their seat belts on. Justin again runs his vehicle splitting the streets that today is very hot. Adeela glanced at her husband who had once again silenced her. Seen as it was, making Justin aware of attention from earlier. Justin glanced at his wife with a smile. Okay, her husband is very good at covering up her grief. But the problem is whether her husband does not want to share his story with her.
"You must be hungry, huh?! Yaudah, then we'll find a restaurant first, yeah. Before we go home. The journey is also long. So, it's good we eat to fill the stomach first."
Adeela could only answer with deheman but her gaze was still focused on her husband.
"You don't want to tell me the same story, Mom?!" It was better if he asked something that had disturbed his mind. Rather than having to hold it.
Justin took a quick glance and gave her a brief smile before finally returning to driving.
"We eat first, how about. I'll definitely tell you. Worms in my stomach I've been asking to stock up."
"Jude." Adeela agreed to her husband's proposal. Already entered lunch time and worms in their stomachs have indeed asked to be filled from earlier.
After traveling for 10 minutes, Justin stopped his vehicle in front of a food stall.
After finishing eating and already in the car, Justin finally ventured and tried to gather all the energy to tell his wife everything without any more cover-ups.
"So...Jolene...."
