Everyone almost gave up because Diana's condition had not improved until this second. Even Diana's body had become colder than before.

"It's time to let go of your highness the empress" Felix said.

"No! No one can touch Diana!" snapped Claude.

"Your honor, it's been 1 year since that incident. The princess will continue to grieve if you are like this" Lily said.

"I said no yes no! Anyone who dares to touch Diana will meet her end now!" threaten Claude.

Athanasia approached her father and held his arm. "Dad, Athy let mom go."

Claude looked at Athanasia with an angry look. "What are you talking about?! You gave up on your mother?!"

"Not be—"

"Truly not out of thought. Your mother never gave up on you, Athanasia! He always fought for you but you gave up so easily?!" cut Claude.

"Then Athy should what father?! Athy doesn't want you to leave either, but if we keep holding mom, then mom's tormented!" athanasia said in a high tone.

"Torture what?! Your mother just fell asleep, Athanasia."

Anastasius tried to calm Claude down as his emotions began to stabilize. "Claude, calm yourself. Open your eyes wide, Claude."

"Silence Anastasius! I don't need your insignificant babble. After all because of who is Diana like this huh?!"

"Uncle, forgive Zenith. Zenith was guilty of making Diana's aunt like this. Zenith will do anything to make up for everything" said Zenith.

"Your majesty, Miss Zenith knows nothing. He was also controlled by that black magic," Lily defended.

"Hey king, let Diana go. He has done his job well here. Don't hold it anymore" said Erez.

"BE QUIET, ALL OF YOU!" shouted Claude.

Suddenly a very bright white light filled this room. Everyone closed their eyes because the light was so dazzling. As the light dissipated, Diana's eyes began to slowly open.

"Where am I?" weak tanyanya.

Everyone who heard the voice he so longed for came closer.

"Diana?"

"Claude? That you?"

Claude hugged Diana tightly and cried.

"Why are you so good?" diana asked concerned.

Claude did not answer and just cried. Diana looked around. Everyone looked at him in surprise.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" diana asked confusedly.

"Your highness empress? A-you're sober" said Lily.

"Yes. I'm sober, Lily. The proof is that I can see you all" Diana replied.

In that instant, everyone in the room was crying. Even Anastasius, Lucas, and Erez cried. The dazed Diana currently chose to shut up and let them all cry. Long enough until their cries subsided. Diana began to ask for an explanation and Anastasius explained it.

"1 year?!" Diana was shocked to find out that she had been unconscious for that long.

"Yes, Diana. You were unconscious for a year" Anastasius replied.

I should feel weak. Diana said in her heart.

"We all gave up on you but Claude kept insisting that you would wake up" Anastasius said.

Athanasia held Diana's hand. "I'm sorry Athy, mother."

Diana frowned when she heard Athanasia's apology. "Why are you sorry, Athanasia?"

"Because Athy also had time to give up on mom. Athy thinks that it's better to let go of mom than to keep tormenting and dad continues to grieve every time he sees mom so..."

Diana stroking blonde Athanasia.

"It's okay, Athanasia. That's a natural thing. I understand and I'm not angry. You're doing the right thing so that I don't continue to be sad."

"But if Athy really did it, then I'm—"

"Yes, I know. I'm sorry mom?"

Athanasia shakes. "Mom's not wrong so there's no need to apologize."

"You did well, Diana," Erez said with a smile.

"Yes, Erez" Diana replied.

"I'm glad you're back, your highness the empress," Lily said with teary eyes.

"Yes, Lily. Thank you for taking care of Athanasia all along. And thank you to you, Felix."

Felix shook his head. "I don't deserve your thanks, your highness the empress."

"No. You deserve it. There's a lot you've done for Obelia" Diana said.

"I feel so useless" Lucas said.

"Lucas? Oh don't be like that. As a royal magician, you did your job well," Diana replied.

"What task?! I didn't do anything, Diana!"

"No, Lucas. You've done all you can and I appreciate it."

Lucas remained silent.

"Sir Anas" call Diana.

"Well Diana?"

"Thank you for everything."

Brother Anas shook his head. "I didn't do anything, Diana."

"No. For the second time, brother Anas took over the kingdom and ran it well."

"Yes, Anastasius. You're better suited to be king of Obelia than I am" Claude said.

"What are you two talking about?" anastasius was upset when he heard Claude saying that he was more suited to being king.

"You are more competent and can control your feelings of not getting involved with personal matters. Though your son is also unconscious but you can still do all those dizzying documents well."

"I can do that because I want to forget everything, Claude."

"Whatever it is but you did it well."

"Thank you for the compliment but I still don't want to take over the throne."

"You didn't take it and accept it that should be yours."

"Claude, we've talked about this before. I stick to my stand. Claude, Diana, you are destined to lead this empire. I'd assume this conversation never existed. Now let's get everyone out, Diana needs a break." Everyone out of the room included Claude.

***POV SAID***

From then on, Anas began handing over his leadership to Claude again. No matter how we persuaded him it never worked. Eventually Claude and I decided to give Anas's brother the title as Duke. At first she and her family refused but Claude forced her by bringing the law. Yes I agree with that because however Anas can not just be a commoner and all the help from Anas brother needs to be appreciated.

My body began to recover thanks to the help and attention of the people. I started working a little bit to arrange the things I let go for 1 year. Starting from resetting all the servants in the palace. Oh yeah I raised Lily to be the butler. I also began to rebuild the villages that Aeternitas had attacked.

I fixed everything for 3 years. Until there came a time when Athanasia was legally crowned crown princess. All nobles from various countries came to attend the crowning ceremony of the Crown Princess. Thankfully, the show went well without any interruptions. After the coronation was over, Athanasia, Claude, and I circled the city. The people gathered to see the crown princess Obelia. They cheered happily and many gave flowers to Athanasia.

"Thank you, noble consort."

I looked at the source of the voice. It turned out to be the people whose village I saved. I smiled and waved at them.

Her night. We are all having small parties to celebrate Athanasia's coronation which went well today.

"Congratulations on his coronation, princess. Ah or should I call you the crown princess?" felix Goda.

"It's the same but I prefer to be called princess" Athanasia replied.

"All right, princess."

"My little princess is already the crown princess now" Lily said, staring proudly at Athanasia.

"It's thanks to you, Lily. Thank you for taking good care of Athanasia and loving her for as long as I'm not around" I said.

"That's nothing, your highness the empress."

"Either have to say how many times but I'm really very grateful to you guys. You guys always help me. Perhaps a word of thanks is not enough so if you are having trouble in the future, come to the palace. We'll always help you."

"No, Diana. We're the ones thanking you. You always sacrifice yourself for us. You never hesitate to help us all even though life is at stake. I will never forget your kindness that always helped my daughter."
