Red Velveit
Chapter 1

"So come home together, right?" sheina asked on the sidelines of the busy Ganan who was putting the Class 11 textbooks into a bag.

"Pake was asked," Ganan closed the bag and began to carry it, "it's our house so fast." Then walk out of class.

"Well yeah, from the baby until now our home right, really, but why do we just know when we first entered High School, when we became classmates?" sheina asked as she continued to follow Ganan's steps.

"It's not weird, I never go out. Especially for neighbors. There is no time for me" replied Ganan arrogantly.

Sheina chuckled amusedly, remembering the reason Ganan never left the house was not because he was busy, but because he was ashamed to have to say what to say if he met people. He is a very shy person. The proof is that Ganan's skin is white because he rarely goes out of the house except to go to school.

Sheina began to remember when they first became friends, precisely when they first entered High School. Ganan who was sitting in front of his desk suddenly turned his body to face him. He thought, That white guy with thin round eyes would say something. But apparently not, for five minutes he just kept quiet and occasionally glanced at her at a glance. Finally, Sheina was the one who opened her voice.

"Lo, will you, say something to me?" sheina asked slowly. He was afraid he would mistake.

"Emmm... Gu... I cu... just want nanya, what's your name?" ganan asked stammeredly which caused an amused smile on Sheina's lips.

"Ohh my name?" Sheina pointed at herself. His right hand raised forward, "my name is Sheinafia Aninda, you can call me Sheina."

Ganan returned Sheina's hand with a smile, a sweet smile that showed a row of neat and white teeth, "My name is Ganan Radhika, call my first name only."

"SHEI, LET'S GO!" shouted Ganan who was already far ahead which instantly made Sheina's daydream break.

"Ah? Yes yes, wait," Sheina replied as she sprinted towards Ganan.

Suddenly something pulled him to stop running. Something was lined up along the eleventh grade corridor. Something very... Sheina wanted.

***

Ganan was busy humming about the song he just heard yesterday night. While walking slowly waiting for Sheina's delay which was her way like a solo princess, she suddenly realized something. The footsteps of the girl behind him were not heard.

He was able to figure it out because the lower corridor had already started to quiet down. Even now it might be the two of them walking in the corridor, because they have been in the classroom too long since the bell rang.

Ganan stopped his steps. Then he sighed tiredly, "Shei, this is sameneee. Go home, see the cup tomorrow again," complained Ganan who had begun to feel tired because an hour struggling with a laptop to do the task in the class.

Sheina. How does Ganan know? He didn't even look back. Sheina was confused.

"Shei, I know what you're doing right now," upset Ganan and turned her body to Sheina. "From tenth grade, every day, uh no. Every week, your work on gold trophies continues. I don't memorize."

Sheina remained silent and looked back at the trophies. He did not care about Ganan in the slightest. Seeing that the girl was not picking at her place, Ganan decided to approach Sheina.

As the tip of Sheina's eyes caught Ganan next to her, she turned her head. Staring closely at Ganan's eyeballs. His head was slightly raised, for Ganan was higher than him.

"Gue know, you're tired of waiting for me who I think continues?" ask Sheina bitter.

Ganan gasped, is that why be a baper? inner Ganan while looking at Sheina in wonder. Ganan was about to open his mouth to recite Sheina's words, but he was not given a chance to speak.

"Yes, I know. I'm tired too, Nan. I'm tired of seeing the fact that I'm the only one in my family who doesn't have a trophy at all." Sheina is always sensitive if she remembers there are no trophies that can be displayed in her room. Sheina looked back at the golden-yellow object, "gue tau kok, Nan, apparently this is a trivial thing. There are many people who are also the same fate as me, yes like you too, do not have a trophy but their lives are calm. But I'm different, Nan. In my family, achievements are held in high esteem. As for me, I don't even have any achievements at all."

"No, Shei. Nothing in this world is impossible. As long as the earth is still spinning, you can be anything. You can get anything. You can have your own cup." Ganan tries to encourage Sheina, "gue will definitely help you, because I-" Ganan's voice chokes suddenly.

A few moments quiet. Until the wind that blows can be heard in both the ears of Ganan and Sheina.

Sheina broke the silence, "For what?"

"Lupain aja," Ganan succinctly and began to continue his journey to the parking area. Ganan knows, he's stupid. He made the girl curious now. But of course he wouldn't tell me that reason now.

"Stop!" sheina Exclamation.

Pliss Shei don't force me. Inner Ganan, worry.

"For what, Nan? Why would you help me? I just temen class lo and I also every day bother you with my shuttle. Then why are you helping me?" Sheina continued to force. It was as if question marks were now shrouding his brain.

"Because I..." I like it the same you. "Gue is your neighbor, yes, your neighbor."

Sheina's eyebrows raised by one. Ganan must be lying. Where could he be this ridiculous. Inner Sheina, in disbelief.

Seeing Sheina's incredulous look at her reply, Ganan grinned widely, "The neighbors should help."

Sheina clucked, "That's what the hell! More serious even joking, not funny know," Sheina grumbled while folding both hands in front of the chest.

Ganan still chuckles. Sheina finally left him by walking first to the parking lot. Seeing Sheina walking away from him, Ganan stopped laughing. He fell silent while looking at Sheina's back.

Although only looking at the girl from behind, Sheina remained beautiful in her eyes. How could he be this close to a girl as perfect as Sheina. Girls who have brown eyes, a pointed nose, tiny lips, long hair, a thin face, and white skin. So pretty. Ganan never imagined it. He thought, Sheina would not want to be friends with him. He's introverted, very shy. His classmate never wanted to get close to him. Unless there is a job. And if anyone wants to make friends, who have the same nature as Ganan, be quiet.

But apparently, his thinking was wrong. Sheina wants to be her friend. Of course it was because their houses were facing each other, so they met frequently.

Ganan so remembered when he suddenly dismissed Sheina in front of the gate. It turned out that Sheina asked him to drive her because no one could pick her up and since then there have been no angkots passing by. Ganan is happy to take her home.

On the way, they were busy chatting about their home. About Sheina who often went out of the house to play in the garden housing Asri Ayu. About Ganan who from birth never want to go out to play in the park at all.

The entire word that came out from Ganan's mouth flowed smoothly. And he never did that before. Talking with his father and mother, he was sometimes confused to ask or answer what because they rarely gather. But with Sheina, it was as if her fear disappeared instantly.

Plakkk

"Was half six still in school, Dek?" ask the school security guard after patting Ganan's shoulder.

"Oh yes, sorry sir. I'll be home soon." Ganan then ran immediately to the parking area. On the sidelines of his run, Ganan remembered that Sheina had probably been waiting. It's getting dark. Ganan begins to fear that anything will happen to Sheina.

When his footsteps arrived at the parking area where there was only one motor, the motor, he heaved a heavy sigh.

Sheina wasn't there.
