Red Hooded Girl

Red Hooded Girl
S2. Go Home with Deka

"Today I met your father," said Mr. Bambang who is none other than the CEO of PT. ABC where Deka works.

"So, what really happened was that you ran away from home?" ask Mr. Bambang while staring at Deka who sat in front of him.

Deka nodded hesitantly in response to his superior's question.

"I've been friends with your dad for a long time. We were college friends. I know very well the nature of your father. Actually he's a good guy. Only his character is hard, firm, ambitious and sometimes selfish. Behind it all there is a positive side of your papa that I admire. He is smart and hardworking too. You know, 'yet your father was just a regular employee and because of his hard work now your father can have his own company."

Deka nodded back. Which is the reason for his departure from home other than because of Clara's problem also because of the papa's temperament that makes him upset.

"Yesterday Satya confided in me. He said his two children ran away from home. I was honestly shocked. I think you work here on the knowledge of your father," said Mr. Bambang.

"Then you tell me I work here?"

"Not yet. because I don't understand the problem. And to be honest, I feel bad about Satya for hiring you here."

"I'm sorry because I wasn't being forthright at the beginning. I don't want to involve you in my problems with Papa. This afternoon I plan to go home. And I'm likely to resign."

"I thought so too, Deka. It's best that you work at your papa company. Not because I don't like your performance here. Your performance is good. I am confident in the potential you have. But I also feel sorry to see Satya, she's a big mess with you. And I saw the wrinkles on his face growing more and more at the thought of his two fuzzy children, hehehehe..."

Deka also smiled in response to a joke Mr. Bambang at the end of his sentence.

"Thank you for accepting my work here. I have a lot of experience and knowledge here. And hopefully I can apply in my work later."

Mr. Bambang got up from his seat and approached Deka. "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop asking. Success starts from an independent attitude and good attitude, "he said, patting Deka on the shoulder.

"Thank you, sir" Deka said with a smile.

"One more thing you should remember. The man is seen from his responsibility and attitude by your future in-laws later," said Mr. Bambang.

"Yes, Sir. I will always remember the message of the Father" Deka said.

"You already have a candidate-in-law, don't you?"

Mr. Bambang's question piqued his heart. "Not yet, sir." she replied in embarrassment.

The god was swinging his steps towards the exit of the Hospital. Although he still wants to linger with Mimin. But then Mami came and again drove him away. It seems like Mami really doesn't like it.

It was a tough challenge for him. If his father does not approve of his marriage maybe he does not bother because there is still a mother who always supports him. But this, Mami doesn't like it and may not approve of her marriage. This would definitely disrupt his relationship with Mimin.

The god stopped his steps as it passed through the Hospital's administrative room. Then he approached the counter.

"Sore, Mom. Excuse me."

"Yes, Mas. Can anyone help?"

"Yes, Mom. Can I ask the cost of hospitalization here?" ask God.

"May, patients on whose behalf?"

"On behalf of Jasmina Zahra."

"The room?"

"VIP room number 1."

"So soon, I'll look for the data." The hospital staff searched the patient's data from the computer in front of him. "The patient in the name of Jasmina Zahra, just entered last night. Is this his family?"

"I am her husband."

"Oh, so."

"Well, how's the hospital cost, ma'am?"

"Usually later the inpatient bill will be calculated when the patient is ready to go home, Mas."

"I happen to have a need to go out of town, and do not know when to go home. If I make a deposit for my wife's outpatient fee, will you?"

"Can, Mas."

The god opened the zipper sling bag and took the money he had prepared to pay for the hospital fee.

"This is my deposit of seven million."

"I accept, yes. I prepared the quittance as well."

"Good, Mas. I've got his phone number."

After taking care of the hospital fees, Dewa continued his steps home. Accompanied by an afterthought. The seven million was the result of his sweat in these two months working in workshops and cafes.

Is this the real life? Is this the meaning of responsibility?

The sky is so beautiful to look at. The blue color has changed to orange. The white car carrying the two handsome men broke the crowd of the Merak-Jakarta toll road.

The god driving the car was silent and did not say much. The contents of her head were filled with disquiet about Mami's attitude. Also her surprise about the figure of the man Jejed mentioned as the man who should be responsible for Clara's pregnancy.

He did not know the man but he knew who he was. And he is now wondering how Clara could have a relationship with that man. He was too stupid and indifferent so he never sniffed Clara's affair. Or Clara who is too good at covering her up.

"Ehem...." Deka cleared his throat to break the silence in the oncoming car. The god who was on his way home was asked to drive a car, glancing at Deka at a glance who was sitting next to him.

"What pain jasmin?" ask Deka.

"Hipokalemia" answered the Lord briefly.

"What's that?"

"Potassium deficiency."

Then a moment of silence.

"Why is Mama how are you?" ask Deka.

"Last see you all right."

"When did you get married, did your mom come here?"

"No."

"No? So Papa Mama hasn't seen Jasmin?"

"Udah met but Papa made a mess."

"Why?"

"In front of Jasmin and her parents, Papa instead said that Clara was pregnant and I had to take responsibility for marrying Clara."

"So that's why Jasmin went to the hospital?" ask Deka worried.

The god glanced at Deka and saw a worried look on her brother's face. " Maybe. It could be," he said.

"So, is that why we're going home now?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"But I...."

"Gue read your letter" said the Lord. His gaze was straight forward focused on the road.

"Gue apologized," Deka said without glancing at the God.

"My father is sorry. The important thing is you want to come see Clara's dad."

"But I'm not the one...."

"We prove it later."

The sky began to darken. The sun is starting to set. Sayup-sayup heard the sound of a prayer from the mosque in the village on the side of this highway. The god turned his wheel to Rest Area Km. 45 which is in Balaraja area.

"Ngapain turn here? Gasoline is full, I am not hungry and do not want to go to the toilet as well" said Deka.

"We go to the mosque first, Bang!" exclaims Gods.

"Well?"

"Magrib's tools."

"....." Instantly Deka silenced in surprise, confused and then gawking.
