RECIDIVISTS

RECIDIVISTS
CHAPTER 19

The black world is always full of question marks. Sometimes Yos himself did not understand why he was able to cooperate with the police while since the death of his wife he has shown a hostile attitude with the police. Several times Yos shook his head not understanding what he was doing now. Whether right or wrong he is doing now he does not know what is important for him is the payment he will get from AKP Anom after his work is finished later.

Yos widened his footstep to leave the police station area immediately, he had to go take drugs hidden by Hendrik. That was the reward he would get for saving Vinda. The footsteps that had been fast now changed slowly when Yos passed in front of the clinic, from a distance he observed a little girl sitting pensively alone, the little girl's face looked gloomy.

Yos footsteps stopped right in front of the little girl, he crouched down to see the gloomy look on the little girl's face, “hai... Why sit alone?”

At first glance the little girl looked at Yos and then looked back at the highway without responding to Yos.

“Hmm.. so the girl should be friendly, should not be arrogant,” Yos tease.

“Iiih... om ni, who's arrogant anyway,” Erni pats roughly Yos arm.

Engraved smile on the lips Yos saw Erni had started to show his friendly attitude, “if not arrogant, then what dong name?”

“Not arrogant om. In the past papa time was still there, Erni was always invited to go for a walk, but since papa was not around, Erni stayed here continuously, never-where,” said Erni, innocently with a downcast face.

“Do you want to go for a walk with om?” ask Yos.

Erni raised her face, looked at Yos, and a smile spread across the lips of the innocent little girl, “mau, would... Erni wants to, om,” Erni replied, her head nods quickly.

“Ok, but before that there are terms.”

“What are the terms, om?” it could not be hidden any more happy ripples from Erni's face.

“You must ask permission from your mother first,” Yos say the requirements that Erni must fulfill.

Erni's facial ripples that used to look cheerful are now moody again. He knew his mother would not let him out of the police headquarters. Let alone go for a walk, get out of the walls of the police station and Darmayanti did not allow.

“Mama will definitely not ngizinin,” Erni's voice sounds weak, hopeless.

“Ait... haven't tried yet. Come dong go try first,” Yos turned Erni's body to face the clinic building, told her to go in to see her mother.

Just as Erni stepped, the look in her eyes had seen her mother's body standing upright on the lip of the clinic door, quickly Erni lowered her face because she knew her mother would surely express anger if she heard her request.

Actually, Darmayanti already knew the wishes of her daughter, because she had been listening to her conversation with Yos. Hearing the outpouring of Erni's feelings for Yos invites great sadness in the heart of a young mother. Although not a prisoner, but in reality Darmayanti and Erni are confined without freedom and girls of Erni's age should not live in a place like the one they currently live in, darmayanti felt guilty for her beloved daughter.

“Mama... can Erni go sightseeing with om Yos?” with a stammering tone of voice and doubt Erni conveyed also her request to the mother.

Darmayanti took a deep breath, “by, but there is a condition.”

Erni scratches her head that does not itch, “aduh.. requisites again..” Erni grumbled with an almost inaudible voice.

“What's dear?”

“What are the terms, ma?”

“Terms mama should join.”

“Hah... mama tagged...real, mah..?!” erni's mouth opened wide as if not believing what she heard, just a moment ago.

Since the departure of her husband facing the Divine, this time the look of Erni's face looks cheerful again. Darmayanti looked at her daughter's face, long ago. Erni's simple request, Darmayanti would feel very guilty if she could not fulfill her daughter's request.

Darmayanti turned to look at Yos, he stepped up to the man, “you must ask permission first to Mr. Anom.”

Yos' head was beheaded several times, understanding the young mother's intentions. Yos turned his body around to see AKP Anom in his study.

5 Days in police custody feels like a very long time. All daily routine activities are limited, cannot be out of the Police area without being controlled, even handpones that are always used to contact relatives are also not allowed, all on behalf of safety. Since childhood Winda never thought would be involved in such a problem, because in fact he always maintain the attitude and association so as not to get involved with the police.

“BRIPDA Herman Jayadi, you go escort Vinda Rusila home for a while, look at her sick parents!” the AKP Anom command before leaving.

At a glance Herman looked at Winda and returned to focus on the road, driving the car, “patient yes Win,” only that said Herman when he heard a heavy blow from the nose of Winda.

Winda did not flinch, his eyes are still directed to the outside of the car glass, “how Pak Anom can know if my mother is sick, Man?”

“So morning Mr. Karutan who called, ngasi tau,” replied Herman.

“Ooo...” is just that which is reflected from the lips of Winda when he heard Herman mention the name of the carapace.

Before Winda was brought by the police, AKP Anom first asked permission on the carcass. AKP Anom planned to make it look as if he was kidnapped to trick the party who really wanted the girl's life.

“If it's not wrong in front there is a gap, right?” asked Herman, he still remembered forgetting the way to the house of Winda. When he was in school with Lukman, Herman had been to the house of Winda.

“Iya. Interchange 4 in front of it turn right.”

The car they were driving began to look slow speed, Herman turned the steering wheel to the right and the car entered through a dustless unpaved dirt road.

Seeing the joy that Erni showed invited a strange taste in the heart of Yos. Something he had never felt before. Happy, yes, the happiness that Yos now feels when he is able to make a little girl laugh cheerfully. From the park bench, Yos pensively looked away at Erni running around her mother chasing her around the water fountain in the middle of the park.

“is it this easy to make someone happy?” knock Yos little heart, ask himself.

As a teenager, Yos began to struggle with sin, proud of every crime he committed. Although always able to have what he wants, life is always more than enough, but his life is far from happy words as he feels today. Is this the so-called sincere, is sincere not capitalized money, if yes, then why he has not been able to recount the death of his wife who had long left him, why does guilt against himself always come to haunt his life. Josh was at war with himself.

The steps of Darmayanti coming towards him made the reverie of Yos fly away, the young mother sitting next to Yos. Just this time Yos saw a smile on Darmayanti's lips, just like his daughter, today they look cheerful.

“Do you like children?” darmayanti asked, looking straight at Erni who was still playing in the distance, there.

Yos did not answer, his head nodded confirming Darmayanti's question, the man's eyes looked in the same direction as the darmayanti, watching Erni.

“Oooh... means you are not as bad as I imagined,” joked Darmayanti.

“ait..! who said I was bad? I'm a good man.”

“Yeah.. although people say Yos is a mafia, just calm down, I believe, really. You are a good person,” said Darmayanti, nyeleneh. Look Darmayanti turned to look at Yos face, “that day I saw you at the funeral of my late husband... Did you know each other before?”

Sounds Yos exhaled a rough breath, he rose from his seat and retraced slowly straightening the veins that felt a bit sore, “yah. He once paid me to do one job, but we've never met.”

Darmayanti got up and walked by Yos footsteps, “you must have been paid to do criminal work.”

Yos chuckles at Darmayanti's rather rude tone of voice, “I don't want to be a hypocrite, criminals have become my job.

Being able to work on anyone who can pay for it, Yos's confession briefly made darmayanti pensive for a moment, “if only I had the money I would have paid you,” Darmayanti muttered, but it can still be caught by the hearing of Josh's ear.

Yos stopped his footsteps, several times he returned a wave of Erni's hand that was playing in the middle of the park, “do you hold a grudge against your husband's killer?”

“Anyone will feel very lost if in stay away by her husband, let alone the death of my husband can be said to be unnatural. But if my husband's killer dies or is arrested at least our lives can be safe and calm, unlike today,” said Darmayanti, as if asking for sympathy.

Yos was silent for a long time hearing Darmayanti's words. A wife does not hold a grudge against her husband's killer, the words are a bit strange in Yos' ears, “your husband was killed and you said not to hold a grudge?” yos' forehead creased in wonder.

Darmayanti sighed very long, like throwing all complaints that clog in the chest, “bicara so’al grudge will never have an end. Before I chose the late Naufal as a life companion, I already knew what risks I would have to face one day and these are the risks I had to bear.”

“Do you know before what the work of the deceased is?” ask Yos.

“Working as a tour leader just to fool the people around and also the police, but since we are not married, I already know who Naufal really is.” Darmayanti said, honestly.

Josh put his lips together, understanding what the young mother had said. The arrival of Erni running over distracted the two of them, they did not want to talk about Naufal's murder in front of Erni. Erni seemed to be recovering from her trauma, the little girl went straight up to Yos' shoulders, they both looked very familiar.
